Hi,
The tabs shortcode was renamed by the Visual Composer developers from version 4.6 and unfortunately the css code from theme doesn’t apply on tabs block. I have add this on our to do list and we will try to adjust it in a future version of the theme. Until then please try this custom css in Theme Panel > Custom Css: http://pastebin.com/9TqhCnCM – http://screencast.com/t/cmd7NiC8
Thanks!
Try to disable all plugins except visual composer and see if the problem persists. If it does, please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your site login details and we will inspect this issue, also include a link to this topic.
Thanks!
Hello,
The newspaper theme is a bit different from newsmag as it does not include that specific template but you can recreate it on pages in visual composer, although it will look slightly different. You have to use the homepage post element like so – http://screencast.com/t/7bKQ4kx6 and this is the result – http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/homepage-one-top-post/
Another way is you can add a background image to the row using Visual Composer settings and create something similar like the travel demo – http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_travel/ – http://screencast.com/t/msgwHI0oB and customize it – http://screencast.com/t/ueYDvf2ic also you can add an extra class to the row and use custom css.
Thank you.
Hello Denjom,
The titles you are talking about are actually the block titles. They can be edited for each page from the visual composer in page edit by clicking the little pencil icon for each block like the example below.

Thank you for your message.
Hi,
Replied here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/slider-full-page/
If you refer to the header template, there are some full width header styles – http://screencast.com/t/nSPqtxbNRMq when the background color/image is not used. When it is used the site will automatically switch to boxed version.
If you refer to the page content unfortunately the tag div block were not designed to be stretched using the Visual Composer row option, sorry. Like I said in the other thread I added this on our list but I cannot promise you anything.
Thanks!
Hi,
I have checked your site and you have some errors in the console that may cause some issues. So please disable all plugins except of Visual Composer, clear cache and see if you still have this issue.
I have tested this on my side and did not found any issues with it.
Thanks!
Hi,
1. The admin bar should appear only when your are logged in. I think that a plugin may cause this issue, so please disable all plugins except of Visual Composer, clear cache and see if the admin bar is still there.
2. The theme supports buddypress plugin without any custom modifications, so please check the plugin documentation – https://codex.buddypress.org/
Just create a page named Register(or Activity) and set it from plugin settings.
Thanks!
Hi
I’ve tested the current theme’s version (V 2.2) and works fine after update. Try to clear the cache, purge cdn file if you’re using and test again. If the problem persist so please provide more details or a screen that point the issue so I can inspect it. You can also try this without any plugins, leave just Visual Composer active.
Thanks!

I see the patch2.1_2.2 folder in theme however there are some files in there that I have done edits too.
If I update just the js_composer files would that work with my original installation from July 17th?
I don’t really want to update the theme files unless there is a security risk or simply doesn’t work and by the looks of it, it’s working fine atm. Just having that issue with the page builder glitching in admin.
Hi
To hide a widget on mobile devices you can use media queries and target the specific classes for that widget:

Hi,
The theme has some predefined footer templates and you can set it from Theme Panel > Footer – http://screencast.com/t/7F5ipHhpX So this block(Editor Picks) is added directly in the footer template code – http://screencast.com/t/mQOv1TaK2JY you can set it only if you alter the code.
For Editor Pick is used block 7, so if you want you can use it in the page content, just add it using Visual Composer pagebuilder – http://screencast.com/t/V2IaDhC713 – http://screencast.com/t/nVzkaifXIR
You can check theme’s documentation – https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/ and we have also some video tutorial on youtube – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgWqozuqmJk
If you want to add your own widgets to the footer area, just use a style that allow you to add theme from Widgets area, for example – http://screencast.com/t/6eANPEtB5gRD – http://screencast.com/t/e5OoEmIeXjd If you only want to translate Editor Picks, you can do this from Theme Panel > Translations section – http://screencast.com/t/zOwQz0WJj6
Hope this helps!
Hi
The page set as mega menu have the layout that you created in Visual Composer, to achieve a mega menu page similar with the one present on the site you indicated you can try this layout in VC: http://screencast.com/t/RC8KAo7n – http://screencast.com/t/kCTaPQdmu Notice that it’s required a custom layout: 1/3 + 2/3. You can use the VC blocks to customize the page as you like.
Hope this help!
Thanks!
Hi,
I suspect it may come from a plugin conflict, try to disable all plugins(except Visual Composer) and see if the issue is still there. If it’s gone enable the rest of the plugins one by one until you find the one which is causing this issue.
Thank you!
Hi,
Theme version 2.2 was released today so you can download it from themeforest: http://themeforest.net/downloads then update it and also update the plugins and the VC plugin, make sure you use version 4.6.2.
Use this theme update guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-theme/ and VC update guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
Let us know how it goes!
Thanks
Hi,
I’ve checked your site and found some js errors in browser’s console which might cause this: http://screencast.com/t/RkefckSj so please make sure you empty all caches then disable all plugins and test this using just the Visual Composer plugin.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks
Hi,
Please make sure that you uploaded the theme properly(try to use ftp method) – https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ also update the plugins that come with the theme files from the /plugins folder. And disable all plugins except of Visual Composer, clear cache and see if you still have this issue.
Thanks!
Hi Injaki,
Please select all elements from Visual Composer settings to appear and save – http://screencast.com/t/x0eAsRoVN
Thanks!
Hi,
I’m not sure why you have this issue, maybe there is a plugin that conflict with the theme and break the lazy load effect. You can try to disable the lazy load animation and see if you still have this issue – http://screencast.com/t/YxebUiVIGhb
Or you can check this without any plugins active, leave only Visual Composer active, clear cache and see if the issue persist. If it doesn’t please activate your plugins one by one and see which one caused this problem.
Thanks!
Hi,
When you get blank space check the browser console for errors, if you find any error please provide a screenshot.
You could also do some tests with cloudflare and the plugins disabled (except for Visual Composer).
Thank you!
Hi,
The theme doesn’t have such a header style, you can achieve this only with custom modifications to a header template or you can try to use a full logo header style – http://screencast.com/t/syHryQiixTj and full image for logo – http://screencast.com/t/g9pNJ9Y9Z9UU
If you you want this only for pages you can add a background image to the row using Visual Composer settings and create something similar like the travel demo – http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_travel/ – http://screencast.com/t/msgwHI0oB and customize it – http://screencast.com/t/ueYDvf2ic also you can add an extra class to the row and use custom css.
Thanks!
Hi,
Do you mean that when you click on a buddypress user it wont link to the user profile? – http://screencast.com/t/HOvuz0sd – http://screencast.com/t/s9govByv
I have tested this with the latest theme version 6.4 and buddypress(also latest version) and did not found any issues. You can try to disable all plugins except of Visual Composer and Buddypress, clear cache and see if you still have this issue.
Please provide more details if this is not what you mean.
Do you want a menu to the user link from top-bar? The theme doesn’t have such an option and you will need custom modification for it and it is not an easy task. I suggest to hire someone to do this for you as we cannot provide custom work at this time, sorry!
Thanks!
Thank you Chris,
I tried to do so, but Visual Composer does not show any tagdiv block to use on the home page, as can be seen here: http://postimg.org/image/se3n8wyof/
What can be wrong here?
Tagdiv, please, can you give any support about this?
Thank you
Thank you for your answer, Steven
I switched from Magazinly to Twenty Fifteen theme, deleted Magazinly, instaled and activated Newspaper 6, installed Visual Composer (the last version, included within Newspaper theme, as downloaded yesterday).
Same result as before:
– The page shows as following: http://postimg.org/image/cr7shsvin/
– Visual Composer seem not to have any tagdiv element to add to the page being edited: http://postimg.org/image/se3n8wyof/
¿Any advice about thois?
Please, I need support for migratin my site from Magazinly to Newspaper 6
Thank you
Works for me on WP 4.3, so likely completely different issue.
You may need to increase the default memory for WP in your wp-config.php file, make sure you disable all plugins temporarily other than Visual Composer, and make sure you clear all your caching if used.
Look for official reply from TagDiv; this is just my feedback.
Hi,
Please follow this guide to upgrade to the version 6 of the theme – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ Make full backup of your current installation – https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups and then do a clean update, meaning that we recommend that you delete the old version of the theme before uploading the new one. Then update also the theme plugins: Visual Composer (also optional plugins Social Counter, Speed Booster if you use them). You will have to run the script that will import from database your settings, will change the shortcodes(see docs)…
Please note that Newspaper 6 is practically a new theme, so if you have old custom modifications to the files or custom css will not work, you will have to adjust and re-add them. Unfortunately you have to re-add the widgets to your sidebars(the custom sidebars will be imported – you don’t have to create them again) as they will become inactive or doesn’t exist in version 6.
Hope this helps!
