Hi @ronaldliive,
You have below my recommendation on this:
1. To change the background color for sidebar you can use custom css as Chris suggested above, try this css code and add it in theme panel > custom css:
.td-main-sidebar{
background-color: aliceblue!important;
}
If you’re using a Visual Composer sidebar, the background color from column settings: http://screencast.com/t/ch0SpVxy – http://screencast.com/t/UGJOrSq1N
2. The first element is big grid 4 with with style 7 for layout: http://screencast.com/t/g19xf2RaiTp and second is big grid 5 with style 5: http://screencast.com/t/xkrEMpudb Those grids are available in Visual Composer plugin: http://screencast.com/t/BInPLbXt1zP
Thanks!
Hi,
You should also update the theme’s plugins, you can do this also from panel, just deactivate and delete the plugin(Visual Composer/Social Counter) – http://screencast.com/t/NQoTDtaOp0 and install it from here – http://screencast.com/t/3LIxhAVgEy
Thanks!

Hi,
Please provide more details on how did this happen, did you changed something before it got broken?
Did you added any custom CSS? or made any custom modifications on the theme?
If you did try to remove those changes and see if the issue is still there.
Also try to disable all plugins except for Visual Composer and BBpress and check again.
Thank you!
Hi,
I have checked your site and your have a javascript error that may cause this issue – http://screencast.com/t/uRNcju4bZQ
Please disable all your plugins except of Visual Composer, clear cache and see if you still have this issue. Also disable all js/css minification and CDN.
Thanks!
Perhaps I need to update the composer files? I haven’t done this since initial theme installation back in July 17th.
Can I simply just download the files and rewrite them in the plugins folder via ftp? I noticed the composer files have edit dates of July 30th so most likely cause of my issue.
Hi,
The updates are provided by us via the theme package, we try to deliver the latest versions with each update. The plugins are located in the ../Newspaper-tf/plugins folder – http://screencast.com/t/2Ri75hQV
In the case of Revolution Slider you have to
1. export your current sliders before you update
2. delete the current plugin and install the latest version
3. import the sliders saved on point one
For more details please check their official documentation – http://www.themepunch.com/faq/update-plugin-packaged-theme/
Revolution Slider and Visual Composer come with bulk license, this means that the plugins can only be distributed with the theme and only we can provide updates for them. You cannot update them directly from their developer.
Thank you!

Hi,
The Media Grid is a Visual Composer element and it doesn’t have an option to add custom links you will need custom modifications to the plugin’s files to change this and it is not so easy. For example you can use Image Gallery, this is also a VC element, but it allows custom links for each image – http://screencast.com/t/5A9kNL8tQb3o
Thanks!
Hi,
you can set it in the theme panel, I think you’d want style 6 and 8:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/category-templates/
This is for the categories.
For your front page, it kind of depends if your front page is a page made with visual composer or if it is the “blog page” with the posts.
Cheers!
Hi,
The theme use Visual Composer shortcodes. You can add a VC element in a page content and change to the Classic view to take the shortcode – http://screencast.com/t/SWHFSzhyC
Also for post content are available these shortcodes – http://screencast.com/t/ODCilRkK2S
Thanks!
Hi,
Please make sure that you use the latest version of Social Counter as I have checked you instagram id and it works fine on my side. Also you can try to add another instagram id and see if it works, then re-add your id so you will refresh it. If you still have this issue try also without any plugins active except of Visual Composer and Social Counter, clear cache and see if it works. Let me know how it goes!
Thanks!

Hi,
The CATEGORY TOP POSTS STYLE setting is used only for category template. For frontpage you have to add the Big Grid using Visual Composer pagebuilder – http://screencast.com/t/90xgJ9aD1s
Please check documentation – https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/ also you can check our youtube channel there are some video tutorials like this one – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgWqozuqmJk
Thanks!
It is not a new install of the Visual Composer. I don’t see any elements that look like the ones on the demo. As i’ve already customized the theme I’d rather not import all of the demo style
If this is a new install of Visual Composer you will have to set up the permissions in Visual Composer settings for the new Elements to show up, if they aren’t already.
1. will be done with custom CSS; I forget the exact CSS; but tagdiv will update Monday.
2. Use visual composer to create that layout and choose the post categorie(s) you want to be included in that module. You can easily “experiment” by adding a new row to your home page layout to test.
Simple enough to add a new module, save, then preview.
If you don’t want to mess with your current live page, make new page, then play with that until you have what you want, then make that new page the replacement for your live static front page.
Not sure that helps, but those are the broad strokes.
3. Try importing the “tech news” style/demo from the theme panel … but only the style not any other demo content.

Hello,
I’ve purchased and installed Newspaper 6.4 on my site using Magazinly, as I’ver read it would be a direct migration process. I’ve installed Visual Composer plugin from Newspaper control panel.
Now Visual Composer codes seem not to be correctly interpreted. You can see the main page appearance under Magazinly theme here: http://postimg.org/image/jye2revtb/
And the same main page appearance under Newspaper 6.4 theme here:http://postimg.org/image/cr7shsvin/
Also, trying to edit the page, Visual Composer toolbox seem not to include the needed items, as you can see here: http://postimg.org/image/se3n8wyof/
I’ve tried to run the script that updates shortcodes from Newspaper 4 format, but it returns an error (no Newspaper 4 found) and now the site is off. No way to access the wordpress admin panel (empty html page returned by the server). Now trying to restore it from backup
Any advice about the Magazinly to Newspaper 6 migration?
Thank you
Hello!
I’m trying to add a section title to my homepage to go over a non-Block Visual Composer element. Right now I just have an empty “Text with Title” element with my carousel element under that. However, that’s causing uneven spacing (as circled in the screenshot)

Is there a better way to accomplish this or remove the spacing between the elements? Also, how do I add a URL to the Title in the “Text with Title” element? It’s an option on the Block-related elements, but not in the “Text with Title” element.
Thank you!
I guess from trying this infinite scrolling only works on home page? I went to the blog page and edit page and using visual composer with block 12 and set the load more button and it did nothing, cause the global blog template in the theme panel just shows up with pagination still on the bottom of the page.
I saw nothing that can even be seen in the theme panel as to set for load more or infinite loading on the blog template. No way to disable the global settings to use infinite loading from VC on the blog page. So the infinite scrolling for blog page is not available, but I don’t want to add the blog page thing to the home page, because I like the way the home page with blocks are with different categories.
I just don’t see any way to make the blog page a infinite scroll. None of the plugins from WordPress repository even does it. Unless, I am doing something wrong. I just can’t get that on the blog page. I think that is what the other thread is about too.
Okay…so am I correct in what I am seeing that I will need to reenter all the fonts, colors and redo all the widgets?
Is it also true that the visual composer frontend is not compatible with version 6?
Will future updates to this theme require that I jump through tons of hoops to get my site back to where it was initially?
See the before: http://gatherinsight.com/
And the mess I will have to fix here in my staging area: http://gatherinsight.staging.wpengine.com
If this is a one time fix no biggie. If not maybe I should find a new theme.
Hi,
You can’t set the infinite scroll pagination just on theme’s blocks and the classic blog uses the latest post page which can’t be customized using Visual Composer page builder. Sorry!
Thanks for the message!
Hi
Please make sure you’re using the latest them’s version (V 2.1.1) which is tested with the current WordPress version and works fine. Also try to deactivate all plugins, leave just Visual Composer and switch to a WP default theme, clear all caches ant test again. Let me know how it goes and if the problem persist address us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp access so we can inspect this issue, also include a link to this topic.
Thanks!
Hi,
Sorry for delay! We answer to the most oldest topics so if you add a new reply we get later to your topic.
Usually ajax errors are caused by some plugins that conflicts with the theme javascript, so please make sure you disable all the plugins except of Visual Composer, clear cache and purge your files if you use CDN(also you can deactivate CDN). If you have the js/css minified please remove it. Let me know how it goes!
Thanks!
Hy guys!
I’ve been having this same problem since I updated my website to the last wordpress version.
First, the images from the library would not load when I wanted to make an article. If I wanted to access the media library, the images only appear on list mode, not grid mode.
I solved this problem disabling jetpack plugin.
Now I have the exact problem again but this time the plugin that causes this problem is visual composer and well… I can’t make anything without visual composer. If I disable it I can access the media library, but if I enable it, I can´t. Also, when it’s enable, it doen´t load any model.
Any suggestions?
Thank You!
I’ve updated the theme and now I see all strange ( I think visual composer) code
See example:
[td_block2 limit=”6″ custom_title=”NATUURLIJK ETEN & DRINKEN” ajax_pagination=”next_prev” category_id=”32″ show_child_cat=”all”][td_block1 category_id=”29″ limit=”5″ custom_title=”NATUURLIJKE VERZORGING” show_child_cat=”all” ajax_pagination=”next_prev”][td_slide autoplay=”7″ category_id=”31″ limit=”5″ custom_url=”NATUURLIJKE OMGEVING” show_child_cat=”all”][td_block3 category_id=”30″ limit=”5″ custom_title=”NATUURLIJK OUDERSCHAP” show_child_cat=”all” ajax_pagination=”next_prev”]
I already uploaded the theme again and also uploaded Visual composer again.
Can you help me?
Hi Alin,
Disabling all plugins (besides visual composer) and clearing cache did not remedy this. I also checked it in Firefox, rather than my regular Chrome. In both instances the button remains wide.
As I mentioned in the other post, I’d be happy to share the url with you, but privately. Thanks!
Gijs
