Hi,
You still have these errors in the console – http://screencast.com/t/w4N9ecUi and affect ajax pagination, search… all elements which use ajax requests. Please deactivate all plugins, leave just Visual Composer active, clear cache and purge your files, then check if you still have this issue. Also disable any css/ js minifications. Please also check your page source and see if css/js minification is removed.
Thanks!

Hi!
I want to set a different sidebar for the homepage. After following this tutorial https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/different-sidebars-on-homepage-and-inner-pages/, i created a new sidebar but i don’t know how to use it on the homepage. I’ve created a template using the visual composer tool. But i don’t know how to activate it. Please help or share the steps for the same
Thanks Marius
I have resolved the issues of blocking Google Fonts but still having a hard time configuring blocking script (Wp Ad System) and 2 blocking CSS resources (Js_Composer & Style.css).
Kindly advise if the two CSS resources can be optimized with affecting styling of the site.
Kindly help regarding blocking Javascript.

Is there a way to put an element at the bottom of every post (similar in the way you can drag / drop in Visual Composer for pages)?
I’d like to have a common element appear at the bottom of every post without having to put that element in the body of each post individually.
Thank you!
There is very specific instruction in the theme documentation available on this site for updating from an older version to v6/v6.1. It includes methods by which certain parts have to be removed and then new replacement installed. Be sure to follow those exactly. You cannot simply update the Visual Composer, for example, by uploading the new plugin over the old one. The old one has to be deactivated and fully deleted before uploading the new version in most cases.
There are multiple ways to do some of the steps listed in the upgrade documentation, so it’s tempting to use the method you know best that usually gets you the end result desired. Don’t give into familiarity. Follow the instructions precisely. They’re specific for good reason.
Hope this helps. Good Luck.
Sure you’re not making posts with VC ?
In looking at your page source for a sample post …
http://dev.lightersideofrealestate.com/real-estate-life/cool-stuff/tiny-house-bestie-row
this is your body class
<body class="single single-post postid-4745 single-format-standard wpb-js-composer js-comp-ver-4.5.3 vc_responsive td-boxed-layout" itemscope="itemscope" itemtype="http://schema.org/WebPage">
Thank you, Marius. I’m very pleased with how it came out. Even more so because the theme is faster than ever. You guys did a great job with the v6 update. Bravo.
But I haven’t fixed it, just found a temporary fix that doesn’t seem as obviously broken while we work on it. Here are the problems:
1. Categories Filter ** This was my bad. Didn’t correct the offset properly for the block after the ad while building the page.
Category filtering in blocks on the home page I’ve built is set as default, to show all categories, but it’s only showing the first category, alphabetically, from the site (Cowboys Blog). I’ve tried updating it several times and checking the other categories but no luck. All categories work fine when I select them individually, but not when selecting “All Categories” from the filter. This occurs with and without unique articles enabled, and after all caches have been cleared.
2. Newspaper Block Shortcodes in VC
Visual Composer is really not reading the themes blocks. See the screenshot for what I see:

That has remained constant on InsideTheStar.com (Main Site) while it was not a problem on Dev.InsideTheStar.com (Development Site, also live). It remains constant whether I use v6.1 parent or child theme, and whether I use VC v4.3.5 or v.4.5.3. I’ve checked upload type (binary vs. ascii) and uploaded fresh copies from the theme directory of the whole theme multiple times. I’ve also removed VC via both methods and reinstalled but no fix, yet.
I was able to create the homepage I’m using now by taking the page on my dev site, reverting to the classic editor so it would show me the VC shortcodes, and copied those shortcodes into the classic editor on the homepage for the main site. I couldn’t use the blocks any other way. With VC v.4.5.3 (as distributed with Newspaper v6.1) I couldn’t even edit those blocks at all on the main site, just move them around (couldn’t edit, duplicate, or delete them from the VC editor).
3. VC Editor Styles
I’m also seeing this issue while using Newspaper v6.1 with VC v4.3.5 (the only version I can access this following screen from):

I can still use the box with that broken style for the tabs up top, but it hints at the main problem, I’d think.
I would have liked to get it figured out already, but all I was able to do was get the site limping well enough that most visitors won’t notice (it’s a production site).
Any ideas? The only thing worth noting from the system info tab of the theme is that I’m running at 40mb instead of 64mb. It’s not the problem, though. Both the main site and dev site are running on the same host with the same setups, and the dev site is not experiencing any troubles with VC v.4.3.5.

Bryson T. Reason: Removed item 1 from the list, as it was user error
Đťello.
With the addition of any Big grid to the main page , there is such an error :
Warning: array_map(): Argument #2 should be an array in /………/www/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/classes/editors/popups/class-vc-shortcode-edit-form.php on line 44
An error message is written – in Big grid settings
@bahola by any chance do you have a lot of categories or tags? Can you give us a number? We are investigating possible performance issues with visual composer and the theme.
Hi,
Newspaper 6 should be regarded like a new theme, as the theme was practically rewritten. You can check our demo and see what features were added like smart sidebar(sticky), smart lists, more modules/blocks more Big Grid blocks(not only Big Slider like in version 4) – http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
Also all Visual Composer elements are supported, there is an issue in old version of the theme, many Visual Composer elements are not compatible and are disabled from functions – http://screencast.com/t/tMq0cVUE
It is compatible with bbpress(there are not any customization, use full plugin) and woocommerce you can check in our demo how forum and shop look. Please note that if you update the files modifications and custom css will not work in new version and you need to customize it again.
Please use this guide if you want to update – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and make a full backup before.
Thanks!
Hi
This was an issue generated by the previous version of the VC plugin including the 4.4.4 version which was included in the version of the theme you use and it has been fixed within latest version of Visual Composer plugin.
We will release an update for the theme within next week, test and include the latest version of the VC plugin then in theme’s package but if you don’t want to wait until then you can make a request for it via email at contact@tagdiv.com and we will send ti to you but consider that we haven’t tested it with the the theme yet so we can’t guarantee it will work flawless.
Please let us know via email on your decision and also include a link tot his tread.
Thanks
Hi
I’ve checked your site and found this error: http://screencast.com/t/I4wpSildj please try to disable all plugins except Visual Composer, and test again.
Thanks.
Hi,
Sorry we have missed as we believed that it was solved: “nevermind i got them thank you for the support” also please create other thread as we put topics on resolved when users resolve their issues.
What version of Visual Composer do you use? You will have to revert to version provided with 4.6.3 version if this you are using. You can find it here – http://screencast.com/t/XMAUkWRZ7Ow and please delete current version of Visual Composer that you use via FTP and upload this version from /old folder.
Also for child theme please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com with you request and also paste a link to this topic so we can know who you are.
Thanks!
Hi,
Like Christopher said an author page is created for any author with posts, you don’t have to create it. Please try to re-save your permalinks, leave just Visual Composer active and see if you still have this issue with author link.
Thanks!
Hi,
Not sure why you get this issue as I have checked you page content and did not found any issues – http://screencast.com/t/KidRmX4ZvmdV please check this without any plugins except of Visual Composer, clear cache and see if you still have this issue. What page template do you use? – http://screencast.com/t/HpdiiLgk4H Also you can try to filter by all categories and see if it work(I see that you filer by specific category). Provide a link to this page.
Thanks!
Hi,
1. Please try this custom css – http://screencast.com/t/efIGxQIqT
.comments #author, .comments #email, .comments #url {
display: none;
}
2. You need to make this change in the code as the related articles code you can find it in the loop single file – http://screencast.com/t/UONppi1E and the loop file is called in the single template above the comments(3 cases – sidebar default, left and without sidebar) – http://screencast.com/t/LcFGBTCrf So you need to find a solution for this
* move related articles from loop file bellow the comments for each case – http://screencast.com/t/Iwt27i8O
* move comments to the loop single file – http://screencast.com/t/VQoOAcgi71es – http://screencast.com/t/rwmluRVk
You have to do this for each post template/style that you use.
3. Please check this without any plugins active except of Visual Composer, clear cache and see if twitter count works.
Thanks!
WP version: 4.2.2
Newsmag version: 1.7.1
Visual Composer version: 4.4.4
how can i improve this? thanks.

Hi,
Please deactivate all plugins except of Visual Composer, clear cache and purge your files if you use CDN and see if you still have this issue. The html structure is incomplete, you have only header on the post page – http://screencast.com/t/R1nRt0GJH6V
Thanks!
In Visual Composer, there is a setting where you check what to include into VC. Then later in block setting you have to enter CPT name in Post type field and voila … now i just have to get CPT categories to work .. here i’m stucked
You can see at http://www.cele.si/new .. whole site is now made of CPT .. yet not sorted by categories 🙂
I have made an update on my website Estambul.net
I have deleted old files, i have uploaded new files. ı have used the upgrade methode.
I have updated also social media counter and visual composer.
You can check that there is a problem on css file. how i can fix.
Thanks in advance.
Hi. My hosting provider, Siteground, is notifying me of high cpu usage on my website. The problem seems to be related to admin-ajax.php script used by visual composer in your theme. Can you help me ?
Did you also increase the default RAM for WordPress ? You need to edit your wp-config.php file to increase the base memory (default in WP is 40MB, but 96MB minimum is needed for Visual Composer).
See:
define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘128M’ );
https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
Hi
Back again, this time with great news 🙂
Visual Composer does display CPT! This is our test site –> http://www.cele.si/new/td_d_slug_10/
All we need to do now is, to be able to pick up categories of CPT when editing block in Visual Composer. At the moment it shows only post categories.
Any idea?
Thank you
Been busy re-configuring my site after switching to NP6.1, and soon after discovered none of the content in my posts is displaying. Any idea what’s happening here?
1. Visual composer is set to pages only.
2. I can edit the posts through the All Posts admin section.
Here’s the homepage (just click on any article to see)
Thanks in advance.
Visual Composer got much bigger. You can try to exclude that from loading on your post pages (see my sticky topic on optimization for more info on how to remove loading VC from post pages).
