Hi,
This could happen due to the Visual Composer plugin with the improvements added in the latest version of the plugin, the same version that was provided with the theme.
You can increase the memory from 64 which is the default for WordPress to how much you need or use the previous version of the plugin and if you don’t have you can make a request for ti via email at contact@tagdiv.com and we will send it to you.
@recordere.dk
I’m not sure what you mean the review section work fine within last theme version: http://screencast.com/t/49XCsCUTFMyI
Please let me know if this is not what you mean and also provide more details.
Thanks
Hi,
Can you provide more details about how you set up the logo? Header logo or footer logo?
And what do you mean with page name? Page title? Or site name?
If you have installed W3 Total Cache after you activate it from plugins: http://screencast.com/t/OKvo4AV5O3T
You can find it here: http://screencast.com/t/eBgL1S2K4i
Also please read this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/w3-total-cache-configuration/
Please follow our documentation, make sure that you have installed the theme properly and the plugins that comes with it especially Visual Composer plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-documentation/
See if you still have issues and try without any plugins active, leave only Visual Composer active.
Let me know!
Thanks!
i have sticked with the previous version of the plugin and it works great .. no need to update i guess.. hopefully there is not security risk to stay with the previous version of Visual Composer..hoever it would be nice of this get sorted in next update…
currently it works great and news update is alri… except of the composer.. i guess the best way is to back up the current version of the theme, rewrite files overr the ftp and then remove visual composer which comes with the update and replace it with the previos one.. 🙂
I am reluctant to update the theme now. Why does the Visual Composer use so much more memory? The whole changing of VC element names or running an SQL command isn’t something I want to do, because if it goes south, I don’t want to be left with a non-working web :-/
Hi,
Sorry for the delay!

Hi,
The code that you pasted here works, but it put the sidebar’s blocks in a Text Block:
http://screencast.com/t/Y9lYeUs39ALT
http://screencast.com/t/b35k0SbxY
http://screencast.com/t/qngfUIy4rQdo
Please delete the Text Block and add those blocks(ad box, block6 and block8) again using Visual Composer plugin.
Sorry again for inconvenience!
Thanks!
Hi,
@Mauras Please add and use the social counter widget right using this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-manage-the-social-counter/
Make sure you install it from the /plugins folder that was provided together with the theme files when you’ve downloaded it from themeforest. You have to deactivate and delete the version that you have installed and re-install the version 2.7 provided with the theme.
The social counter plugin included into the latest theme version is 2.7 so make sure you have it like this: http://screencast.com/t/YqAjnWg7IO
I also tested this with your ID and it works: http://screencast.com/t/25rUcaFpx
Result: http://screencast.com/t/nimduh7N7elR
@jlee620 If you have the latest version like I said above please try to deactivate all plugins, leave only Visual Composer and Social Counter active and see if this work, also clear cache. Let me know if you still have this issue and provide your site URL.
Thanks!

To activate these plugins succesfully without error, I need to deactivate not only Newsmag theme, but visual composer too.
Hi,
Could you please provide more details about your issue as I’m not sure I understand. Please disable all plugins leaving just the Visual Composer active then empty cache and/or purge files if you use any cache plugins or CDN services and check again.
If you are not unsgin the laste theme version(4.6.1) and this still isn’t working please check your console for errors and also make sure your theme settings are saved. If not you have to increase the max_input_vars = 1000; value inside the php.ini file to max_input_vars = 5000;.
If you don’t have access to the php.ini file please contact the host administrator and let him know about this issue.
You could also updated the theme if the settings aren’t saved as we have made some changes in the latest versions so this won’t be needed anymore.
Hope this helps! Please let me know!
Thanks
I have hundreds of posts which I’ve imported from another website and I’m having trouble getting these to display a sidebar. All of the individual posts have the side bar position set to “Default” and I’ve set the default in “Template Settings” to have a right sidebar. I’ve done this by Template Settings > Blogs & Posts Template > Custom Sidebar + position [Side Bar set to the right]..
This problem doesn’t occur with new posts (they inherit the default setting correctly), only the existing ones.
I’ve tried deactivating all plugins except Visual Composer and doing a fresh install of the theme. I’ve also tried flushing all the MySQL tables but still have the problem..
Please can you help?
thank you, i tried what you said and i realised that it is about visual composer. when i deactivate visual composer, the sentence is disappering. However, i have to use visual composer. do you have any idea to fix this
Hello, this was my previous question regarding website speed :
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-do-further-website-optimization/
I followed all of your instructions, my speed test was improved on mobile and desktop.
but yesterday when i changed template layout on my site, google speed test dropped again:
https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.unbelievable-facts.com%2F&tab=mobile
On desktop it is good 91 out of 100
and there is only 1 render blocking css which you told me it can not be moved.
http://www.unbelievable-facts.com/…content/themes/Newsmag/style.css?ver=1.5
But on mobile there are some more scripts and css files showing on speed test, it wasn’t there before making changes in template:
Remove render-blocking JavaScript:
http://ajax.googleapis.com/…s/jquery/1.11.1/jquery.min.js?ver=1.11.1
http://www.unbelievable-facts.com/…alite/Socialite/socialite.min.js?ver=2.0
http://www.unbelievable-facts.com/…ugins/wpsocialite/wpsocialite.js?ver=1.0
http://www.unbelievable-facts.com/…ensions/socialite.stumbleupon.js?ver=1.0
http://www.unbelievable-facts.com/…jquery.form.min.js?ver=3.51.0-2014.06.20
http://www.unbelievable-facts.com/…ct-form-7/includes/js/scripts.js?ver=4.1
http://www.unbelievable-facts.com/…themes/Newsmag/js/td_site.min.js?ver=1.5
http://www.unbelievable-facts.com/…includes/js/comment-reply.min.js?ver=4.1
Optimize CSS Delivery of the following:
http://www.unbelievable-facts.com/…content/themes/Newsmag/style.css?ver=1.5
http://www.unbelievable-facts.com/…poser/assets/css/js_composer.css?ver=1.5
http://www.unbelievable-facts.com/…t-form-7/includes/css/styles.css?ver=1.5
http://fonts.googleapis.com/…,600italic,700italic,400,700,600?ver=1.5
http://www.unbelievable-facts.com/…p-includes/css/dashicons.min.css?ver=1.5
http://www.unbelievable-facts.com/…p-includes/css/admin-bar.min.css?ver=1.5
http://www.unbelievable-facts.com/…/wpsocialite/lib/wpsocialite.css?ver=1.5
http://www.unbelievable-facts.com/…p-subscribe/css/wp-subscribe.css?ver=4.1
and these scrips and css don’t seems to have a ‘file id’so i can not move them using speed booster plugin.
please guide me further!
Wow, aside from the similarity of the use of Visual Composer, it’s awfully close. I’d even be tempted to suspect the dev is a former TagDiv staffer, or just very nicely “inspired” by Tagdiv’s work. But I see a LOT of that on ThemeForest … still, it’s a fairly common layout in the basic sense. (Kind of nice, actually.)
But … yeah.
Verified it’s a theme call, as I switched to Woo Canvas + Visual Composer, went to edit a page/post, and did NOT get the https warning.
If you could let me know which file might have that call for the admin section, so I can fix, would appreciate.
THIS ONLY IMPACTS ADMIN SCREENS, PAGES, POSTS, PRODUCTS … not live pages on web.
Thank you! 🙂

If it was working before the move, it’s not a theme problem.
Best bet is to remove all caching plugins, or disable them after clearing them.
Perhaps reinstall clean version of WordPress, Visual Composer, and the theme ?
Did you resave your settings? Often moving to new system, you have to go back into a theme panel and “touch” the settings to again save to the dbase (stupid I know…).
That’s about my only suggestion. We moved all our sites to new server a year ago, and had some similar issues because some sites we used the server migration tool (best way to do it), and some we did by hand.
Before i updated my theme, i was using the widget text to add my twitter and facebook feeds to my homepage. then after the update, i noticed that my feeds stopped displaying, and wen i went to put it back manually, i noticed that the oprion has been updated and this update have made it impossible for my to include my social feeds on my home page. Please help me out on how to fix this.
Note the theme license code is not for the Visual Composer plugin, if that’s what you’re referring to. The theme license is added at top of admin page when it’s “asked” for.
If that wasn’t the question, pardon my reply 🙂
I’ve followed the documentation and not used the widgets that do not work in the smart sidebar, and yet it doesn’t work with visual composer.
I have the default sidebar working fine as a smart sidebar on all posts and pages that don’t use VC. On my home page, I’m using the Widgetized Sidebar block to display the default sidebar, but it won’t stick.
Any ideas?
Yes, you upload the single file for the theme, not the whole files zip as that includes docs and psd files, etc.
You need to install Visual Composer from the /plugins/ folder into your /wp-content/plugins/ folder
You need to activate (turn on) the VC plugin first, before the theme will work.
Lucian,
I think you need to include a help document in the downloads for the theme EXPLAINING how the Visual Composer update process works, as this has become the most asked, almost daily question on both forums. And add the doc to the right side under documentation. Seriously. 🙂
I also have this problem! The new visual composer plugin uses too much memory.
Hi,
Try to disable the rest of the plugins, update Visual Composer to 4.4.2, activate it and check if the issue is still there. If it’s not please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com , paste a link to this conversation and provide the url and wp-admin and ftp access so i can take a look.
Thank you, Emil G.
I am running 4.4.2 Version of Visual Composer
Hi,
Visual Composer is updated in this theme version. Please make sure that you remove the VC plugin then use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/ and install the plugin from the /plugins folder that was provided within your theme files.
If you updated the plugin you should have version 4.4.2 and also VC is tested with the theme.
The problem with Ad box is not related to Visual Composer. We have renamed some shortcodes to improve the performance. So just edit your page and change to the Classic View and find td_ad_box and replace td_block_ad_box: http://screencast.com/t/Da8k0HHtSD
Or add a new “Ad box” block instead of the block that doesn’t work anymore.
Hope this helps and sorry for inconvenience!
Thanks!

Hi,
By default jquery.js loads at the top – http://screencast.com/t/WwST1XHbB
If you use Speed Booster the minified version is loaded at the page bottom. – http://screencast.com/t/sTbcQnTBh – http://screencast.com/t/fDpI7lbGl9
You could try without Speed Booster or you could try to move the WP-Subcribe Pro js file at the bottom using the technique described in this guide (chapter 4) – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Also try to disable the rest of the plugins, except for Visual Composer while doing tests.
Thank you, Emil G.
