Hello,

I have tested this myself and there really seems to be a bug with the slider on the mobile version. Unfortunately, we cannot make a quick CSS fix for it at the moment because we need to inspect what causes this problem. I have passed this information to the developers and they will come up with a solution as soon as possible.

Thank you for pointing this out!

Thank you for your help so far Andrei L.

I don’t know what I might be missing but I certainly need some help with this share buttons situation

What i’m trying to do: Add a whatsapp and email share button to my Newsmag theme.

Things I understand that i’m supposed to-do are

To-do 1. Add the Font Awesome Icon plugins
Attempted Solution 1: I installed this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/font-awesome/
Attempted Solution 2: I inserted the following code to (the parent theme’s) [theme folder]/function.php file.

add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'enqueue_font_awesome' );
function enqueue_font_awesome() {

	wp_enqueue_style( 'font-awesome', '//maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/font-awesome/4.4.0/css/font-awesome.min.css' );

}

I got the code above from a different site while trying to figure out how to add FA icon to my site.

To-do 2: Edit “./wp-content/themes/Newsmag/includes/modules/td_module_single.php”

Attempted solution:Added the following code

<a href="//send?=' . esc_url( get_permalink() ) . '"><i class=”fa fa-whatsapp fa-lg”></i></a>

To-do 3: Add custom CSS
Attempted Solution: Added the following code to the “Your Custom CSS

.td-social-whatsapp {
background-color: #60b82d;
}

.td-social-whatsapp .td-icon-whatsapp {
font-size: 24px;
position: relative;
top: 2px;
left: 1px;
}

.td-social-pinterest {
margin-right:8px;
}

@media (min-width: 787px){
.td-social-whatsapp {
display: none !important;
}

After all of the above nothing has worked(whatsapp button has not appeared). What am i missing?

Is there a plugin i can add to make this part easier.

I really appreciate any more help I can get.

Hello Bogdan,
thank you so very much for this solution, i believe i am very close now, with this custom CSS.
but still, this is not working as intended.

I have applied the custom CSS in my theme, and i have placed the image in a container, as you indicated.
you can see the result here:

http://le-meilleur-du-golf.com/analyseur-de-swing-de-golf/

there must be some kind of code somewhere blocking the size max of any media. Because, even putting the image full size doesn’t work properly.
do you have any idea?
many thankS,
Thierry

Hello Christina,

You have to target the css class of the widget and add a font family to it like so:

.widget.tribe-events-list-widget *{font-family: sans-serif;}

.widget.widget_yelp_widget *{font-family: sans-serif;}

The * is a global selector for all elements.
U hope this helps
Thank you!

Hello,

Please help with the following.

1. When in “normal” vertical mode, the slide displays correctly when site first loads. No problem:
Mobile display - vertical mode - no issue

2. When viewed in horizontal mode, title and image get distorted.
Horizontal view. Issues with post title and image.

3. When returned back to homepage, issues with thumbnail and title text. Also, additional white spaces show up below the slide.
Vertical issue - ging back to home page form horizontal view

I need your help with resolving this issue if possible with custom CSS.

Thanks!

hI
You can use a custom css for that:

.td-pb-span4 .td_module_8{
border-bottom:0;
}
.td-pb-span4 .td_module_9{
border-bottom:0;
}

Just add it in the theme panel

Hi,

If I understand well you have Social Counter in your page but you cannot edit it. Please edit your homepage and the Social Counter block should be added directly to your page content via Visual Composer. Provide a link so I can inspect this.
The theme doesn’t have an option to add social icons to the subfooter, you will have to alter the code in footer.php file and modify a little bit the social icons code from td_footer_extra_bottom.php file – http://screencast.com/t/Qyzqo0oWYMAz
Please make a backup of your current footer.php file and test this code(replace the entire content of the file) – http://pastebin.com/dL03CAKa After this you can customize it via Custom Css in Theme Panel > Custom Csshttp://screencast.com/t/u03OggUOMW5z

.td-sub-footer-container .social-footer {
float: right;
}

Thanks!

Hello Ryan,

Unfortunately the theme does not have such an option at the moment.
The easiest way to do this is by using a plugin. Something like https://wordpress.org/plugins/random-banner/ but be careful as we have not tested any of these plugins and their functionality. Try some of them out and see how they work for you!
You can also try the coding method if you know your way around PHP or JavaScript: https://css-tricks.com/random-ad-positions/
I hope this helps!
Thank you!

Hi

By default the theme doesn’t have an option to increase thumbs size but you can use custom css to achieve that: http://screencast.com/t/mb6h468Uqd

@media (min-width: 1023px) {
.page-id-121241 .td_block_16 .td_module_mx4 {
width: 198px!important;
}
.page-id-121241 .td-block-span4{
padding-left: 5px;
}
}

Thanks!

Hello Andy,

Your menu does highlight. Just the header menu you chose highlights with the blue bottom border. You can chose a different header style from the theme panel that uses a different highlight method: https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/

If you want further highlighting you can use custom css to get it done:

.sf-menu > .current-menu-item > a, .sf-menu > .current-menu-ancestor > a, .sf-menu > .current-category-ancestor > a, .sf-menu > li > a:hover, .sf-menu > .sfHover > a {
background-color:red;
}

Add the code in the theme panel->custom css

result:

Hi

Replace the previous css with this one: http://screencast.com/t/yRJ13muA

@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-pb-span4 .wpb_widgetised_column{
display: none!important;
}
}

Let me know how it goes.
Thanks!

Hi,

We changed the css(margin, padding) for ads containers, because many users reported that when the ad is hidden extra space is still there. So the css is applied on adsense class or if you use non-adsense on the recommended div containers – http://screencast.com/t/in1YMek1C1Whttp://screencast.com/t/IdCbIOf67B
I have checked your site and your code is non-adsense but you also don’t use the recommended div containers – https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebar-ads/ that’s why the margin bottom is gone. For example I have inspected the sidebar ad spot and there you use a simple div container and you have the bottom space – http://screencast.com/t/JSlGwnpLSeX So this is the solution just try to use a div to your code and see how it goes.

Thanks!

Please make sure you select full size of the picture : http://screencast.com/t/WaKXpKsJU also where you insert media: http://screencast.com/t/qo7UkHy9
I have inspected your site and saw that the image is not set to full size:
mine: http://screencast.com/t/SLHvG2weQwUZ yours: http://screencast.com/t/oAOZpXeoplS
The sharing buttons on the top post are not from a plugin. The option comes with the theme: http://screencast.com/t/6mqWHJj00
In order to get an image full width you need to do some custom modification.
It can be done with CSS. You have to place the image in a

container (in the text view) and set a css class to it: http://screencast.com/t/aFwXmdXM
Then you can use this custom CSS to display it full size:

@media(min-width: 1141px) {
.td-post-content .full-image {
left: -20%;
position: relative;
transform: translateX (30%);
}
.full-image img {
max-width: none !important;
}
}

result: http://screencast.com/t/kzuD7LqF
If it needs a bit of adjusting, change the values in the code.
You will have to do this to every image you want to be displayed full. Add it in the container and give it the ‘full-image’ class

Thank you!

Hi! I am using The Events Calendar plugin in a widget on my website peekskillpost.net in the sidebar and the footer and I would like to apply custom CSS to it since it seems none of the settings in the Theme Fonts seem to modify them. Can you please tell me what the CSS code is for that?

Thanks!

VC might have discontinued support for IE9 or changed that and some caching or other element is still pinging that.

You could likely
a) check the plugin folder to see if that file is there or got renamed
b) do a 301 redirect via htaccess to the renamed file, or to a different CSS file.

Also possible it’s an old file which had a vulnerability and a bot is looking to hack you or check to see if vulnerable.

That could be totally wrong — so tagdiv may have better answer; just food for thought. Looking at the changelog for VC might also provide a clue if the file was retired.

Hey guys, thanks a lot for your effort!

Finally the slider is “stretched” to its max. values

I added the following CSS:

.iosSlider-col-2 .entry-thumb {
height:100% !important;
}
.home .td-pb-span6 .td_block_slide .td-module-thumb, .home .td-pb-span6 .td_block_slide .td-module-thumb .entry-thumb {
height: 100%;
width:auto;
}

manoj.yadav

try this one by removing previous custom css code if last one did not worked

.td-js-loaded .td_block_slide .td_module_slide {
visibility: visible !important;
height: 280px !important;

}

this is the last attempt from me.

manoj.yadav

and if all the previous code does not work then remove all those previous css code and try this it will 200% will work if not then there is some other issue or may be any silly mistakes

.iosSlider-col-2 .td_module_slide {
height: 280px !important;
}

tell me if your problem solved

manoj.yadav
tagDiv Member

try this in custom css
.iosSlider-col-2 .entry-thumb {
width: 696px;
margin-top: 105px !important;
}

tell me if you find any other problem related to this slider issue on other pages

Any idea what is causing this 404 from Visual Composer?

http://mysitename.com/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/assets/css/vc_lte_ie9.css

It is hitting my 404 log regularly, always with the exact same name, most recently from the msnbot, but also from the googlebot. Also seeing this 404 from website visitors who are not bots.

Is it related to the Visual Composer upgrade I recently did from 4.6.2 to 4.7.1.1?

Thanks

You would likely need to custom build some kind of new query based on a date range, like only show item/block if query to that featured category has a story newer than xx days. So else if nothing newer than xx days, show nothing.

Not sure you could do that in VC with a module — but you could likely create your own CSS for a custom block or something, and then maybe populate that spot in layout with that block?

This is not a normal thing since that is kind of what a ‘featured’ category has traditionally been used for in WP — meaning, you have a “sticky” category, and then you only have one item in it; then edit that post when you no longer want it featured.

Not sure that helps — but some food for thought anyway.

Hi, Thank you for the answer.

I added your code to Custom CSS but unfortunately there is no difference :/

I also tried the regenerating plugin again, but no success.
Any other ideas?

Thanks a lot!

Hello,

Do you have something like this in the css and html?

“td-visible-not-desktop”

The reasons: I am using too much of td-visible-desktop, td-visible-phone, and td-visible-tablet-portrait. I want to show phone and tablet portrait the same contents and it is too much work of adding custom html, and it is not good for duplicated those content too.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank,
Ken

You can easily import any font family you wish via your style.css file, and load files on your own site.
