Hi,

Here is an example how you can do it, add in media a png with blockquote -> https://i.imgur.com/ztp3Im7.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/eo0tNyO.png after that use this custom css -> https://i.imgur.com/eRHajSf.png
blockquote:before{
background: url(your_png_url) no-repeat;
content: ”;
display: block;
height: 48px;
width: 48px;
}
Make sure that you png is not bigger then 48px.
The code need to be set in theme panel> Custom code> custom css and will apply on all Blockquote.

Thank you for your understanding!

I downloaded Clouder Header Template 6 and am trying to change the background from black to white, but nothing works. Here’s what I do:

  • I go to Cloud Templates
  • click on Header Template 6
  • Edit Template
  • click on main header so I’m editing Header Menu / Zone
  • Go to CSS tab
  • Edit Background Color to something other than
  • … still black (nothing changes)

What am I missing?

Thanks

Hi,

If you want just to remove/hide the category description then you can use a custom css like this one -> https://i.imgur.com/PPgfMZP.png
.td-category-description{
display : none;
}

Hope this will help!

Hello !

That will require custom CSS. Provide us a link to your website and we will take a look.

Hi,

Please provide me a link to the Blockquote that you add in media library and a text where you have set a default Blockquote, in this way I will be able to help you with the custom css to replace the default quotes with the one from media library.

Thank you!

Hello !

There is no predefined CSS Code. That will require custom work which is not covered by the support team due to our support policy: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-support/

Dear Tagdiv,
we are using SuperCache and Fast Velocity Minify.

When running page speed insight>
Remove unused CSS 0.44 s
for … /header-06f201bc.min.css

Eliminate render-blocking resources 0.28 s
for … …out/header-06f201bc.min.css 177 KB 710 ms
…out/header-826b5626.min.js 76 KB 590 ms

What would be your recommendation?

Dear Catalin,

Can you please tell me that WHY we need to edit the style.css or do extra edits on files, etc, or hire someone to do that as you suppose?

It is very disappointing that I paid for your theme, and this is not mentioning on the Envato Theme Forest buying process screen.

You have to declare this and what is stupid that you already say that you are one of the best themes in the market BUT I HATE THIS flash/loading problem with custom font, menus, widths etc first and than original BOUGHT theme’s items loads after a sec.

You have to solve this problem in order to offer us to edit loads of things. I never saw this situation on any other theme sellers.

If you insist that you are one of the best, you have to solve this with the updates.

If I install for example City Demo, than you have to put what is needed on the style css or whatever. Your original demos already has this flash sec problem even I dont edit anything in theme panel, dont have any code on the CSS part etc.

Thanks

Hi Calin,

Thank you, I saw that advice to another poster and that was already set to OFF for our website, but still we have the problems. I was able to get images to show up by disabling another plugin for lazy loading. It looks like you’re plugin is stopping any code from running while the post is still in draft form, but once it has been published everything appears OK.

I’ve also noticed some new break points for mobile and those are a little crazy, is there any place we can edit break points for the theme? Do we need to write our own custom CSS for that?

Thank You,
Kim

Hi,

Unfortunately this type of blockqoutes are not integrate in our theme, we have something similar -> http://prntscr.com/q730xq what you can do is to add some icons or png with Blockquotes and set them with a custom css; if you find some Blockquotes I can help you with the css.

Thank you for your understanding!

Hello !

You will have to use this css code in order to adjust that:

.td-menu-background:before{ background: linear-gradient(to bottom, red 0%, #006eff 100%);
}

The code must be inserted in Theme Panel – Mobile Theme – Custom Code: https://www.screencast.com/t/3zYzY4sLdum

Thank you !

Do you want to tell me that a theme like this doesn’t have a css code to reduce the preview height?

This theme looks amazing, but I believe it would look much better for my site if everything was around 80% smaller. (That means, when I use the browser zoom level, my site with this theme looks best at 80%). Is there any way to do this with css or something?

Hello,

At our company, we are setting up our blog with theme Newspaper, child theme iGossip…

I may have found a bug. Is it something I modified or a bug from you, tagDiv?

On a single post page, when I set a featured image with a photo in portrait orientation, i.e. with height > width, I see image is positioned top on the top of the box. And would like the image to be “center center”.

This is because of a CSS rule within the HTML code typed like this :

<style>
/* custom css */
.tdi_23_553 .tdb-featured-image-bg{
background: url('https://blog.cadeau-maestro.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/tasses-putain-de-tasses-x5.jpg');
background-size: cover;
background-repeat: no-repeat;

background-position: center center%;

padding-bottom: 640px;
} ...

I assume the % character should not be here.

Can you investigate? If because of you, may you correct it in next patch? If because of me, can you give me a hint on which file I should change?

I managed to bypass this behavior setting up a custom CSS. But it isn’t very clean.

.tdb-featured-image-bg {
background-size: cover;
background-position: center center!important;
}

Hope you’ll be able to help me.

Thank you.

After the last wordpress update some of the feature images don’t show up when using certain Post Styles.

If you Looks here

https://www.screencast.com/t/wLCTXAE1SBxz

Post Settings> Default Post Settings (site wide)

Style 6, 7 and 8 don’t work properly.

Please see here what happens when I activate any of those styles

https://www.screencast.com/t/wCdQ11WvpNik

Now when I change to Style e it works like a charm as one can see here on the live site

https://embarky.io/travel-stories/nanortalik-greenland/

I have already tried deactivating my Cache plugins, Regenerated all critical CSS Paths and also did a full fresh install of the theme itself downloading the latest version from my backoffice.

No luck none of that fixed the issue.

Hi,

I think that you can achieve this in two ways, you can edit the single post template with tagDiv Composer and change the accent color for single post comments -> https://i.imgur.com/Dy78aAT.png or you can do this with custom css -> https://i.imgur.com/qHfEFRa.png
.tdb_single_comments a:hover, .tdn_block_newsletter_subscribe a:hover {
color: #000;
}

Hope this will help you!

Hi,

You can remove the date from big grid flex 3 using this custom css -> https://i.imgur.com/TFUE1jb.png
.td_block_big_grid_fl_3 .td-module-meta-info .td-post-date{
display: none;
}

The code should be set in Theme panel> Custom code> Custom css

Hope this will help you!

Hi,

You should be able to deactivate the categories from theme panel -> https://i.imgur.com/oZhUXiO.png or you can use this custom css ->
.single .td_block_related_posts .td-post-category{
display: none;
}

The code should be set in theme panel> custom code> advance css> phone

Hope this will help you!
Thank you!

I’m not sure which demo. The default template upon installation. The same one I’ve had 3+ years. I don’t have screenshots of the old site – I just know the font is now smaller, with less line spacing, more condensed and doesn’t read well. I can send you the old css sheet I’ve restored, with the correct font, so you can figure out on your end what you changed so I can change it back in my child theme.
