Thanks. Is there any CSS I could enter to remove one of the lines or something? If not, it’s not that big of a deal. Just curious. Thank you.

Hello Kley,

You should use a bit of CSS code if you want to change the AMP style page. Edit here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/vIUHFAbD6uRH There’s no option for custom CSS code for AMP version, sorry! You need to follow the above advice if you want to customize your AMP version.

Thanks for your understanding!

You will have to use CSS I guess. Only the new flex block module (I have seen) has the option to hide the excerpts. Which modules are you using (share your site link)? I can try to provide you with a CSS code to paste in the custom CSS section (I don’t work here btw).

I also had the same problem with header style 12. The problem is due to a change in the line height of the search button it seems, and I could provide a solution with CSS if you share your site link. (I don’t work here btw, but I have a similar problem and tagdiv team promised to make the search button line height to adapt automatically when the header us changed in a future update. In the meantime, I had to align my search button properly in the header with CSS).

You can minify the CSS using a tool like this https://www.seocentro.com/tools/online/minify-css.html. Just download the style.css file and copy everything inside it and paste in the box provided in the link above. Click submit and once the code is minified, copy the result and paste it in the downloaded file to replace the code inside it. Just click save and re-upload the file inside the newspaper theme folder and overwrite the original one.

Hey Gordon,

Did you ever find out how to stretch the body rows to true full screen like the header and footer? Seems like a pretty obvious setting for people to want to be able to change but I cant see it anywhere in the settings.

Ive tried doing it within the row css but that doesnt stretch the row background to full screen at all.

Hello,

I’m using custom HTML and CSS on my website, some kind of articles have 2-4 tables. I discovered that the AMP posts/pages doesn’t inject my custom CSS, as you can see from here (my developing/test website):
screenshot-1

Here is how it appears on PC No-AMP version:
screenshot-2

So the question is, is there a way to inject my custom CSS in the AMP version?

Thank you.

I was looking at the files that the theme loads, and there is one exceptionally big the Style.css. 1.09MB is way to much, and the actual theme only uses 10% of the entire file. Any way to reduce this file other than manually going and deleting all the unwanted css?

Hi,

Firstly, your template is fantastic. I have been looking for similar for years.

I’m unsure if it’s me at this point or a slight bug in CSS and without checking deeply, it’s best I ask first.
Under, Per category settings on Theme Panel. I would like to set different colours per category on text overlay. I’m assuming this is what the options are for?

CATEGORY TAG COLOR ON POST PAGE & HIDE CATEGORY ON POST AND ON CATEGORY PAGES

Despite clearing the cache and force refreshing, it doesn’t appear to work.

Would you please assist.

Thanks, John

I use the plugin to optimize javascript but not CSS and I would not recommend you to optimize CSS in the newspaper theme with the plugin.

The only tested and recommended plugins to use with the theme are these ones:

WP Super Cache- caching plugin
Contact form 7- used to make contact forms
bbPress- forum plugin
BuddyPress- social network plugin
Font Awesome 4 Menus- icon pack, supported in the theme menus
Jetpack- plugin with lots of features *it may slow down your site
WooCommerce- eCommerce solution
WordPress (Yoast) SEO- SEO plugin
Wp User Avatar- Change users avatars
WPML – multilingual plugin

Anything beyond this list is not tested and I cannot say for sure if it will work or not. (I don’t work here).

Just wondering if there is any CSS documentation for developers.

Looking because I have lot of Custom Post Types, and I want to use the in built grid system for the post template code in the child theme.

Any pointers appreciated.

I think the media queries used in CSS help in detecting the screen resolution of a device. The challenge with web development is that most designs are optimised for sites below 1200px because research shows people are nowadays accessing websites more through their phones than desktops. Maybe someone from the tagdiv team can provide a better professional answer.

All CSS codes you put in the custom CSS section will be saved in the database. So even if you delete and upload the theme via FTP, everything should work as it should.

Thanks in advance for the CSS. It was right what I was looking for.

About the modal image feature I´ve seen that there is a general option to disable it, but then all the post will activate it individually and I have to disable it one by one right??

Hello novadux,

There is no required to have coding skills, sorry! Notice that our theme is more powerful which has a lot of settings in the Theme Panel. I suggest you read again the whole theme documentation to familiarize with all of these elements. If you want additional customization and if the theme does not have any such an option for what you want to do, you need to have some CSS skills. Provide more details about what exactly you are referring to and also, if you are unhappy please request a full refund from here -> https://themeforest.net/refund_requests/new and we will give your money back as soon as possible and then you should buy the Newspaper theme.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

Thank you for the appreciation, we try our best to provide a quality product.

1. Posts are meant to have a featured image, if there is no featured image set the theme will display a default placeholder instead, everywhere the post is displayed
https://www.screencast.com/t/LQ7tpNTo
You could choose a module that does not display the featured image
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/category/module-8-layout/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/category/module-9-layout/

2. There is a default padding and margin set for module 8
https://www.screencast.com/t/dVBKCvUVb
You could change that with CSS, this is the code for that with default values, change them as you want and enter it in Theme panel->Custom CSS

.td_module_8 {
padding-bottom: 25px;
margin-bottom: 16px;
}

The code will affect all instances of module 8, it can be made more precise if needed.

3. It could be a combination of colors set in the theme colors set here
https://www.screencast.com/t/FkQkkBXOHX
The related section is affected by these settings. Please check if that is the case.

Thank you!

Do you have to have CSS skills? I cant get anything working here. It seems to be the most difficult theme/system I ever been into. I have worked with Themify for a long time, never had problems getting it work. Here I cant activate anything after activated the theme. 🙁

Somehow I missed that, should have seen the URL was wrong. Indeed there is an issue with the header ad when using global block header template 17
https://www.screencast.com/t/hKIlno4waF
I will add this on our list and it will be fixed as soon as possible. As a quick fix please enter this code in Theme panel->Custom CSS
https://www.screencast.com/t/6pi8fUBMRvu

.td-header-rec-wrap .td_block_template_17 {
transform: none;
-webkit-transform: none;
-moz-transform: none;
-ms-transform: none;
-o-transform: none;
}

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks
