Normally to do an if/then for a specific ‘page’ in WP, you use the post ID. When you create a page it has an ‘ID’ in the dbase. (You can find that by hovering over the edit button/link in the all pages menu in WP.)

Then your conditional could be setup as along the lines of

if id = contactpageid# then print the css.

tables are not responsive, generally in modern HTML, and this is why CSS columns more commonly used.

Also, you should never use inline styles within HTML anymore; but only use CSS classes.

So create a table class and apply the class to the table.

To make table cells psuedo-responsive, you would need to create classes for each td

like td33 for a 3 column table

.td33{width:33%}

For what YOU appear to be doing, you’d be better off using floats, or simple centered text div with CSS span on each item for custom per item elements.

Outside scope of theme, but you can find many tutorials online.

I have the same question. No problem adding the codes below to the newspaper’s functions.php file to disable the Contact Form 7 JS and CSS loading on all pages

The only issue is activating the JS and CSS in specific contact page. There’s no ‘contact.php’ template file in Newspaper Theme. Is there a specific php template I can insert the following code before wp_head is called?

Might be the 4000 lines of style code you have in your head BEFORE the og tags. I’ve never seen this before, and not good idea.

Ideally only critical ‘above the fold’ content should be inline in the head, and full css loaded from the footer; and normally the meta data should be BEFORE the inline CSS/js

1.7MB page load, took 16 seconds — which is awful — you should be shooting for max 3 seconds, 1.6 would be better. 189 element requests on page is way too many. 50 max would be ideal, 100 max also suggested. See:

Now I have a new issue, if you scroll down my page https://www.sonycentric.com/ the popular categories footer section is showing green because of that css code.

On a slow connection you will get ‘flash’ of layout, as your background likely being scaled (not big enough), or is a tile so has to draw that before the overlay of the content.

Try
a) disable lazy load animation effect
b) try solid color background in place of backing image
c) for backing image, try enlarging the jpeg manually to ‘giant size’ image, but with high compression (e.g., quality of 10 with blur of .03 in Photoshop)

I have 100mbt connection and that is the only effect being seen here in Win10/Chrome, and why what you’re seeing is not browser specific — but “content specific.”

It’s a version of “flash of unstyled text….” (FOUT).

You can also minimize such effects by taking any custom CSS from the custom code box, and also placing at bottom of your style.css file.

Okay, forgive me. Just saw another thread concerning CSS and Mobile.

So I’ve entered the following but no change.

I see. I only found style 8 template that uses featured image as background, so is that the only way?

What about a CSS style override? Like setting background image to none on all single posts? Or using a color layer on top of the image or something?

I found this css class, but the changes I’m trying to make don’t work – what am I doing wrong here (is it wrong class, should I do something else instead):
