We don’t have a comparison table of features between Newsmag and Newspaper. Both themes share the same core so their functionality and performances are similar. The main differences are in designs/appearances and the content area width which slightly differs from one theme to another, Newspaper’s grid width is 1068px while Newsmag’s width is 1021px and the Newsmag’s theme grid has been designed to support the borders between sections of a page: http://screencast.com/t/pNkgzN1Kn8Y5
Other differences are also appear regarding features, some of the blocks are present on one and missing on the other, for example you could check the Features menu items from each theme live demo and see blocks, modules, post templates… are present in each theme and the design differences – http://screencast.com/t/p87JJpieJd

I have seen the demo. Please no more references or screens of the demo. I get it.
I removed some code in the header.php and the index.php files and it made no difference.
1. Your template does not allow for additional menu items in a pleasant design. I sure wish you guys would add a second bar and not the top bar…= A second bar would look great under the black…anyways, all i really need to do I guess is remove the arrows. Wish I could get a clean second line of menu items but that is too difficult, the line height goes crazy….

When I am publishing new post/page, how to ensure that which block it would be displayed. For example I want my post to be appeared in “PERFORMANCE TRAINING” blocks. How this can be done. Appreciate your response.
I am using the content given as part of default demo. “PERFORMANCE TRAINING” is also on of the demo block.
Secondly, how to control the display of my newly created block. I mean to say at which part of the homepage my new block would appear?

What theme version do you use? To have the same layout for mobile menu as on our demo you have to use V 3.0 of Newsmag. Try to update the theme at last version available on themeforest: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ clear all caches then test again.

I can assure you there is no such bug on our demo. It only shows the first row and then it loads the rest. I have tested your exact conditions and there was no bug at all.
Please test this on different browsers and different machines to see if the problem is not local. I tested the infinite loading again and it works as expected.
If you still have issues with this, please provide a link to your site pointing to a problematic block so we can inspect it as we cannot see the error on our demo.

I’m okay with the sub-items showing on desktop, since I was able to use CSS to hide the sub-items there.
I pasted the links to my social networks in two of those fields, but they do not show up in my mobile menu. They work in the footer. This is what my mobile menu looks like:
It looks nothing like the demo menu.

The background can be added only across the whole website as presented here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/background-introduction/ however, you can add background to specific categories, but individual pages do not have this option. What you see on our demo are sub-domains created for each demo. It is not the same site. Every demo has it’s own sub-domain and it’s own install of WP and the theme on it.

im using the td_block_22 on my mainpage with td_ajax_filter and infinite ajax_pagination without stop. When i open my mainpage in the browser again the infinite load for the inital category “ALL” works fine. But when i change the category with the ajax category filter the infinite loading dont work. It only shows up 5 posts…
The same when i click back to “ALL” – the infinite loading dont work (DONT TRIGGER). When i refresh the site with F5 it works.
In your Demo http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-16/ – the last block with the title “3 columns with INFINITE LOAD” there is the load more button – but if i click on a category “style hunter” and then back to the “ALL” it only shows one row instead of loadind all the posts. As mentioned before, im not using a load more button – just infinite loadining without a load more button and without stop.

First of all, please notice that so it should look your SAY WHAT demo menu, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/eXtv6npfi I have checked your website and I saw that your main menu has been a bit of broken in iPad mode…but I have noticed that you have some additional customization through code that causes these secondary effects. Please try to revert the theme to the default state and then check the results because we cannot provide support for your additional customizations, sorry! Plese try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.
Also, if your problem is still there after this, you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect your problem.

Hi, I had an element on my home page, as per demo:
It had a grey frame around and contained three articles, not a grid, but deleted it by error and now can’t find the right element to add it again. (It was about halfway down home page), as per your “SPORTS NEWS” DEMO, just above 728 x 90 advert.

Sorry the slider option is not important for us.
The only problem we have is that there is no content in this element, no matter what category we set in “filter” it wont worked. We tried to look it up in the demo, but no success.
We just want to load some content in Big Grid 3.

Every demo has it’s own css that is called when installing it. The css can be found in the demo folder for each demo style: http://screencast.com/t/28dH6lvq If you want to remove the style for a demo, you can access the css file and remove the styling but do this on your own risk. This is a ‘hack’ as the demos were not designed with a removable style.

Ah, I see there’s no simple way to make the mobile menu pull from a different menu than the desktop menu. I can use a mega page menu and place items under it, right? Only those items show in the mobile menu, but I can hide those items in the mega menu. Will this approach cause any problems? This is how I set up the menu:
But what about social icons in the mobile menu? They appear in the demo so I should be able to get that without any additional help.
I have uploaded newpaper theme on hostgator web hosting. After installing default demo, there so many places on homapage where some php code line are being displayed. Can somebody help in removing such messy formatting.

Not all blocks have these commented out. Please take a look at this link and see each block that does not have the author or date set to it. You only ned to do it for the ones missing: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/

If you want to replicate the design form the other website, you need to use another block on the homepage that comes closer to the one in the other site. you can see different block templates here: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
As for the header, you will have to use one of the 3 full logo styles: 9, 10 or 11. The logo could need a few adjustments in css for responsiveness though to eliminate the top padding. If you provide a link to your site I could help with the css to some extent.

I’m not sure exactly how you want to show one latest post, but for each page you can set a homepage post element like so: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/homepage-one-top-post/ or use any other block you prefere and set the post limit to 1 from the block settings

I updated to newsmag 3.0 and found out the mobile menu has changed (I use fashion demo).
(1) How can I edit the mobile menu window (the window after clicking menu on mobile)? (the default background is kind of purplish with all social media button being shown)
(2) Can I do something with search? It seems the searching process from new search kinda slow and redundant.
Let’s say I’m a reader. There will be a new mobile search window after clicking the button. After I enter the keyword, need to wait for result to be shown on that window. But then the window closing and bringing me back to the result page (not on search window anymore).

It seems those things are easily done from the theme panel if I use newspaper theme. How about on newsmag?
(3) I wonder how to keep updated whether a new visual composer update is ready to download? (Usually I wait for the plugin to tell me if a new update has come, but I realize need to wait for tagdiv crews to put it on test first)

Hi,
This depends on how you created your content. A demo comes with predefined content if you chose so and that content will get removed once you remove the demo or install a new demo. If you edited the predefined content and did not create your own it will be removed. If you created your very own content and not edited the demo content, you can install any demo and your content will not get removed.
