How to apply Demos on each page like video page to display video theme , tech page to display tech theme .. ?
Hi
You can check all blocks layout on our demo here: http://screencast.com/t/IoeqlyNan If you need a different block the the ones already built in in the theme you can use theme api to create a new block: https://forum.tagdiv.com/td_api_blockadd/
Please consider that this is a complex task which require many customizations also good knowledge skills are required. If you can’t do this by yourself my advice is to find someone which can help you as we can’t offer custom services at the moment.
Thanks!

Hello,
1.The travel demo uses the background image a bit different. It has it set on the row in visual composer. You need to edit your homepage and access row settings: http://screencast.com/t/Z2VHdgzUTuV3
2.You can set the posts you want in the 3 ‘boxes’ by editing the block below the first row and select the posts you want to display by post id: http://screencast.com/t/kL6xF23Ba
3. You can change the categories on the from the same block settings. Please follow this guide to see how to do it: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/
Thank you!
Hello, I have installed the demo but it has some errors on Header.
The problem is that the header is showing a blank space (I have already removed ADs so that Blank space does not correspond to an AD) on top of it and also the Trending Now Label should be stuck to the Menu as Demo. I have installed the theme on MAMP and it works perfectly fine but when I do it on my live site the error appears.
I have tried re-installing the theme but no luck so far.
Check URL for error: http://goo.gl/wB5yFk
How it is on MAMP: http://goo.gl/0ZK3uQ
Thank you very much.
Hello,
I have installed the theme on my domain http://www.travelisfun.de
But I am wondering, how the start-page is built? Here my questions:
1. How can i change the big picture ?
2. What are the templates? For example: pagebuilder + latest articles + pagination
—> http://abload.de/img/unbenanntycjfp.png
3. Why is it not possible to enable the Frontend Editor
4. What is the so called “Block 5” ?
Just activate the Travel demo and you will see what I mean 🙂
Thanks for reply!
Google PageSpeed Insights is rating quite low for mobile (75/100 for the demo itself while desktop is getting 91/100), I am sure you guys are continuously working on the performance and requesting your team to give importance for mobile as today most of the visitors comes from mobile.
Hi,
I just noticed minor (or maybe not so minor) problem with theme’s login procedure. If I open login popup (by clicking corresponding link in top menu) and then accidentally click ‘Forgot your password’ link I have not any way to return to login! Closing and then opening popup is not changing anything. One and only way to return to login is refreshing the browser window. I think it is not right procedure. Please add some link in popup to return to login form.
Screencast of the process from theme demo: http://c2n.me/3tYGdOo
Thanks on advance,
Alex.
Hi,
I can’t find any options to customize the content on the sidebar of category pages. For example, I want to change the color of the background the title “Must Read” on the category page (Eg: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/category/tagdiv-technology/tagdiv-gadgets/) or add new widgets to the category page.
I tired the theme panel, page editor, category editor but can’t find any place to make these changes.
I checked the instructions on http://import.tagdiv.com/newspaper/doc/#categ but I don’t see any of those options mentioned in that article, beyond “Description” part.
Really appreciate your help in this.
Hello,
You can create a static page in visual composer for your blog and filter a single category for it. You can chose one of the content blocks for article display: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
After you chose the block you want, you can then set it to a single category and add pagination to it from block settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hello,
i’m going at theme panel -> Header -> Logo & FavIcon, i’m changing logo to another (mine logo) , i save changes, but when i’m refreshing with “header style 6” the logo remains the same (default logo from demo site). If i change header style, the logo is changing corectly, if i return at header style 6, again the logo is the default logo from demo site.
I observe that this is happening with all header styles where there is color at the menu “Like full dark, or green”, If the style has white in the area where logo is rendered then the logo changed with the new logo i have uploaded.
Why is that?
Hello,
I have checked your website and saw that you already figured out the solution for removing the gradient. Every big grid has 5 styles to it. You can chose a different style that does not have this gradient: http://screencast.com/t/mUt1KxVmEOzr
You can see these styles live on our demo here: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/
Thank you!
Hi
By installing a new demo the content from your site won’t be lost. If you install the theme with content then all posts from that demo will be added to your site among the posts you already created. The posts from demo can be removed by uninstalling it without losing the post that you created.
Note that if you install a new demo all settings from theme panel will be replaced with the demo’s settings so as @Chris suggested make sure you do a full backup before installing the new demo.
Thanks!
Hi,
There is another way to do it, but it involves creating as many sub-domains as categories and install the theme on every sub-domain with different demos installed and then create redirects for each category to the specific sub-domain. Kind of a pain, but unfortunately there is no easy solution for it.
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hello carmene,
Unfortunately, If you have hired a freelancer or developer that have broken your website, please contact him to resolve the issue. I have no idea what kind of changes has done in this regard and why your mobile version does not work properly because our theme by default, as you can see in our demo works perfectly. Maybe this problem is coming from your untested plugins wich can interfere with our theme. Try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but we cannot provide custom services and support for your untested plugins and for some additional customizations that you have added.
Thank you for the message!
I’ve had a reply from the Visual Composer developers and the say this is a support issue for you. So please reply!!!
The “block” is not our standard element. It is most likely added by your theme author to enhance the theme functionality. You can check our standard elements/features by creating an online demo here: http://vcpreview.com/
I would suggest you to get in touch with the theme author so he can guide you with the same. Kindly check.
Thank you,
Hi,
You could do something of the sort but you will need to add the code for every page. The simplest solution would be to add a load more button to your latest articles so the page will not change every time you want to vies more posts. In order to do this, you will need to change the page template and not use the pagebuilder+latest but rather the pagebuilder+title or the default page template and then use a block 12 for your latest articles. This way you can add the load more animation from the pagination settings in visual composer (like our travel demo uses: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_travel/)
Thank you!
Yes, that is my problem. The changes made in theme panel does not applies on front-end.
I have this problem at all demos, everything else works good.
I don’t know where is the problem… I use Google Chrome and I don’t have other plugins except Visual Composer.
In CATEGORY TOP POSTS STYLE I pick: “Gird 3”,
and in ARTICLE DISPLAY VIEW I choose: “M2” and then save 🙂
but it only appears M2…
Than you very much for answer and help.
I think you can switch to a demo “style” but make sure you do NOT import any sample content, just the “styles.” And make sure you make a full BACKUP *before* you do ANY changes, obviously!
If I Install the default demo, will I lose my content or the changes I’ve made to the Classic Blog? Is there a way to switch to the Default Demo without losing anything?
Hello,
This can be done very easy by selecting the default page template and add a block with infinite load as your latest articles block. You can see an example of it here: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/homepage-infinite-scroll/
We used a block 4 and infinite load option like so: http://screencast.com/t/aDOCB0VYI
Thank you!
Hello,
This can be achieved in 2 ways. The first one is choosing a different grid style. Take a look at our demo and switch between grid styles here: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/ Style 4 is the brightest one. This style can be selected in visual composer: http://screencast.com/t/wF53pOxdCQb
If you do not wish to change the style and you use style 1 (i assume) then you can use css to remove the gradient:
.td-grid-style-1.td-hover-1 .td-module-thumb a:last-child:before{
display:none!important
}
Thank you!
Hi,
1. On your default demo there is a fine line separating the three footer widgets and the footer info content. This line is missing on my site: http://www.swedentips.se. How can I add it in a colour of my choice?
2. My “logo” (actually a photo) in the footer info content area is too far out to the left. How can I move it more to the right without affecting its position on mobiles?
3. I’ve made the social icons in the footer info content area big and blue with this CSS:
.td-footer-wrapper .td-social-style-2 .td-icon-font {
font-size: 36px;
width: 64px;
height: 64px;
line-height: 64px;
background-color: #005bae;
}
When I hover over the icons they become grey. How can I change the hover colour for the icons (not the background) to yellow?
Thanks for your help!
Walther
Hello Adam Niewiadomski,
Yes. All the demos have the same core theme (Car, Travel, Blog Classic, etc) and are meant to exemplify users how to use our theme. Our theme is optimised for Seo but you have to use SEO Yoast plugin for this, has the responsiveness layout and also support all kind of Google Ads and Adsense, as you can see in our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-ad/ For more information about our theme functionalities, please consult our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/wordpress-information/
Hope this helps!
Thank you for the message!
