Hi,
I want the quote box to be full wind like in your demo, for some reason, i got this http://prntscr.com/6s4f0m
Hi,
If you want to show the button like on our demo please use Read More for your articles – http://screencast.com/t/IalXRz8nc – http://screencast.com/t/bpyCP4ED1 and use module 15 to display articles for your blog – http://screencast.com/t/VjDgcYIQ This will work only on loop(blog, category, homepage + latest articles template) when is used module 15(display the articles content).
If you don’t want to do this to each of your articles you can use a module with “Read more” button for your blog: http://screencast.com/t/qsXUab32
Hope this helps!
Hi,
I’ve also tested it on Mac however didn’t found any issues. Compare it with our demo and let me know if you see any differences.
Thanks
Hi,
In the theme we included a smaller version of the demo which comes with all page templates and the basic setup for starting a site. We didn’t included the whole demo because we wanted to keep the theme as small as possible. The xml was not included in the theme package because wordpress importer is buggy and it doesn’t save the entire data (sidebar, block settings, footer widgets, etc have to be configured manually).
On our demo’s menu are added only some categories that are set to megamenu and pages with submenu items: http://screencast.com/t/7sffQJtdul You can make your menu that you need by adding your pages and categories like in the screenshot. Also you can import predefined styles(stacks): https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-the-demo-data/
If you also need the xml files of the demo you can make a request for it on email and we will send it to you. Send your request at contact@tagdiv.com and also include a link to this topic.
Thanks!
Hi,
Please add the “Homepage post” block usin Visual Composer to your page: http://screencast.com/t/xfOnuCsW and it will show featured image and title of your latest post(depends of your block settings-Category filter, tags): http://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/homepage-with-a-post-featured/
Thanks!
Hi,
Sorry for delay, we missed somehow your post. Please take a look at contact page in the backend: http://screencast.com/t/rbADQFdlcVM This page is also added in the demo version. If you don’t want to install the demo I can provide you only this page shortcode to have an example, just create a page and paste this content and publish(save): http://screencast.com/t/qfqqCWZ6
Here is the content of the page: http://pastebin.com/asE5fQYY
Hope this helps!
The demo content did not include all the pages shown in the themeforest demo, that is why the menu has less items
How can I get these missing ones?
Thanks in advance
Abdullah Peşteli
Dear Sir,
After trying to find this option in Theme Panel, I tried to find this on forums but with no luck …
I would like to set padding-left and padding-right 5% of paragraphs <p> tags in posts, as seen in your demo.
I see that you wrap paragraphs in <div class=”td-paragraph-padding-1″></div> so it must come from some settings, as in my posts, paragraphs are not wrapped in this div. This div class “td-paragraph-padding-1” has following CSS:
.td-post-content.span8 .td-paragraph-padding-1, .column_container.span8 .td-paragraph-padding-1, .mceContentBody-max-width-small .td-paragraph-padding-1 {
padding-left: 5%;
padding-right: 5%;
max-width: 90%;
}
So this is exactly what I need, how to get it? 🙂
Thanks a bunch!
Hi,
I’m not sure what you mean to change the width of tagdiv gallery. This slider was designed to be used on 2 columns(with sidebar) or 3 columns(post full width – without sidebar) like you can see on our demo: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/tablet-sales-surged-in-the-first-quarter-of-2013/ – http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/services-allow-you-to-do-things-like-scan-a-document/
You can try to customize how you wish using css code as there is not a fast(or easy) solution for this.
Thanks!
Hi,
You can do this how is more easy for you. Anyway you will have to create new posts, categories, pages so you have demo like an example to see how you can create your own(how blocks are added using Visual Composer for example). Just take it step by step and create what you need and please follow our theme documentation it may also help: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-documentation/
If you want to remove the demo please note that it can only be remover manually.
Thanks!
Hi Folks,
I am new to here..I have downloaded & installed theme and loaded demo aswell.Please let us know shall i modified demo as per my own requirement or i have to delete all demo related and need to start from basic?
Any one having document to create step by step like demo page?
Thanks,
Susi.S
Replied via email, also included the xml file of our demo!
Thanks
Hi,
Unfortunately the theme doesn’t have an option for this. What you can do is to use media queries and customize you homepage to look different on mobile screens(change font size and hide some rows/columns).
For example change font size on mobile screen: http://screencast.com/t/XXN14Px3GI4
Also you can use an extra class for rows that you want to hide on mobile: http://screencast.com/t/tVNpF4zv and use custom css to hide: http://screencast.com/t/N2LGI3Ms4zKK
@media (max-width: 767px){
.hidemobile{
display: none !important;
}
}
Hope this helps!
I am totally familiar with what you are saying. I just wish that you would acknowledge the value in being given a complete demo. It does present, time-saving and learning opportunities via example. I don’t think that can be debated.
If all that doesn’t matter, then they should be presenting this template the way that it unpacks on install and not something that has been dressed up.
++ Upshot – the layouts are included with the theme — open a post and note all the options for layouts; note the theme panel for layouts and note you can specify default template for posts and over-ride that on per-post basis.
++ But wait for TagDiv to help, I guess you’re not “getting” my attempt to help on how to explore the built in LAYOUTS you already have — the demo content doesn’t add to that, it just uses the built-in LAYOUTS to populate dummy content. You already have all the LAYOUTS from the demo!
Yes, and I already have had a couple occasions where that layout had issues. Now if I had their sample I could start reverse engineering things to try to determine what was different. I didn’t post until I played around for a bit and saw issues that I had to spend time resolving. I would have just been as well off, had I not installed the demo content because that in its default state is an UGLY mess.
I am not the only way that feels this way by the way. I am just a bit more outspoken on the matter.
Anyways I appreciate your time but wish you would acknowledge that a certain percentage of the population feels the way I do. You might feel that I am a fool but not everyone that feels the same is.
Again…I have understood what you are saying from the beginning. I merely have a difference in opinion on presentation.
Incidentally, if the demo pages aren’t important, can you explain to me the difference between Newsmag and Newspaper?
Templates are built-in to the theme, which you specify in your preferences in the theme panel and when creating a post. You don’t need to import templates, they are included with the theme. A “style” and a “template” are two different things.
You can import the demo content which has fake stories, and uses the default layout of the theme.
I’m sure TagDiv will get back to you next business day to try to better answer your query.
Upshot – the layouts are included with the theme — open a post and note all the options for layouts; note the theme panel for layouts and note you can specify default template for posts and over-ride that on per-post basis.
Demo content with using layout 4, won’t make all your new posts layout 4, you need to specify that as your choice for default and/or CHOOSE which layout template you want to have when CREATING a post.
The layout for any post might be based on the actual content you post — a demo story with 3 photos would look different than a new post you create with 2 photos and no drop cap, etc. — as I’m sure you likely already know.
But wait for TagDiv to help, I guess you’re not “getting” my attempt to help on how to explore the built in LAYOUTS you already have — the demo content doesn’t add to that, it just uses the built-in LAYOUTS to populate dummy content. You already have all the LAYOUTS from the demo!
Enjoy! 🙂
My question is whether the XML file would give me all of the content and layout.
Yes, I have played around with the demo styles. Again styles and a template are 2 different things.
Yes, so why not send the email to get the demo content download file?
I’m presuming you’ve already done that, so presumably a non issue.
All the demo styles are built-in you just activate from the “import styles” at bottom of theme panel, which presumably you’ve already played with.
If you look at my previous comments, I recognized the copyrights on photos. My question is whether or not they would give me all the menu and article content / layout. Again we get these things because what is presented has given us ideas. Other wise we could simply download a bunch of fonts and plugins and do the whole thing ourselves.
I have bought many themes over they years and most of the time they do give you a sufficient amount of demo material. Recently I bought “The7” theme and it is a good example of my claim.
Theme demos on Themeforest are designed to show you an “example” of how the theme is used, and then in the case of TagDiv themes pre-set “stacks” are provided as pre-defined styles and layouts for changing the style without having to program that all in yourself.
The demo data isn’t designed to give you an entire website of content to use; only jump-start you in setting up your own content. This means you still need to make your own choices on how to build out a menu, or create your own categories, etc.
If you request the XML file from tagdiv they will be happy to send you the basic demo content to import. They don’t provide you “everything” as the photos are not owned by TagDiv and may be licensed only for their use — this is common with *all* theme developers using licensed images to create demo examples on Themeforest, hence the notices about terms of use on demo content all over Themeforest.
++ If you also need the xml files of the demo you can make a request for it on email and we will send it to you.
Can you supply a full demo? Could this be used to do a full DB import? (meaning all pages and menus???)
Hi,
I have checked your site using FB debugger tool and seems that you have multiple og: – http://screencast.com/t/wknM9r7Mi
We recommend to use this plugin WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin because is the best for SEO. Just install it and activate the meta data: http://screencast.com/t/9CBtZm0bESiP as we use it on our demo to.
Please try this without any plugin that may cause that error check your page source for one of your posts to make sure the actual data is there and check this with FB debugger tool: http://screencast.com/t/uJSSrVcPxLC
Also after you have solve errors it may take some time to update open graph.
Hope this helps!

Hi,
Thanks Chris!
@serendipity
Here is how you can import the cafe stack:
* http://screencast.com/t/5Nzx2DNWNf
* http://screencast.com/t/kLB9zp9l3Bk
The labels from the lifestyle category page are labels for the subcategories of the lifestyle category. Once added as subcategories those labels can be customized from theme panel for each category/subcategory: http://screencast.com/t/uca7K5RCw
All the designs from our demo are built using theme settings so using our documentation would help you understand theme’s settings best: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-documentation/
Let me know if you still have other questions.
Thanks
Hi,
After you Install the Demo Data you can Import the Predefined Styles(stacks): http://screencast.com/t/Lc6Dho2jdh – http://screencast.com/t/pumXbxmy3u Please note that if you activate a stack, it will import only settings like fonts, colors…
On our demo’s menu are added only some categories that are set to megamenu and pages with submenu items: http://screencast.com/t/dte2bmKwL5 You can make your menu that you need by adding your pages and categories like in the screenshot.
If you also need the xml files of the demo you can make a request for it on email and we will send it to you. Send your request at contact@tagdiv.com and also include a link to this topic.
Thanks!
