Ok, forget what I’ve said until now… below is a screencast to demonstrate the problem.
Pages and posts are not updating when I have added or deleted content. I must have gone wrong when updating the theme or something.

1. We added icons for menu items with <img src="link to icon" /> directly in menu editor, no plugin needed.
2. about SEO we recommend SEO by Yoast plugin.
3. W3 Total Cache only with Page Cache enable
4. We don’t use any security plugin, you can try something from plugins available free or paid.
5. For buttons we have shortcode generator that you can easy add buttons in post http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/buttons/

Hi, not sure if I am missing something here – can you tell me how to get the image to pop-up in post when clicked on like the demo. Is there a specific plugin I should be using?
I can’t work out why an image doesnt pop-up – I have it set correctly to go to media file. When I click on an image it goes to a seperate page. I need it to popup.

I am studying your demo. Using the Visual Composer, I have copied the “Home” page exactly adding the “Big Slide” and “Block 2”.
I am using “Homepage – with article list” template.
The problem is besides my “Latest Articles”, I don’t see “Stay Connected” and “Latest”, it’s just blank.
While on the demo, it’s there.
Did you customize the “Default sidebar”?

The avatar default is Gravatar, but on our demo we use WP User AVatar that allow us to upload an avatar from local.
Do you mean when you go on Users they have avatar, but on comment section not? Can you show us a link to your site.

Just to recap for anybody reading this thread: Revolution slider is a slider from ThemePunch (look it up on the web– it’s a popular commercial product: http://www.themepunch.com/codecanyon/revolution_wp/ ); it’s one of the various “slider apps” (featured “slide show” that “slides” – like a PowerPoint app, or a “featured stuff” element) included with the theme. Some people like one slider, other folks like a different one. Some allow only images, some allow CSS blocks (text+images). Some people like to have latest stories “slide” although many find that annoying and prefer static elements.
I believe the 2x “demo” uses static featured images on home page (don’t know which “block” off top of my head). I don’t think any of the theme demo pages use the sliders. I’m sure Radu included them as a selling point, but also for those moving from another site to use the sliders, which some people love, some people hate. Most news sites don’t use them anymore (think CNN, NY Times, LA Times, Daily Mirror, etc.). It’s more commonly used on business/ecommerce now and *not* for news/magazine portals, as it often has a bad UX (user experience) on mobile for “above the fold” content. So, great for GoDaddy home page, bad for a newspaper.
As far as I know it’s (Revolution slider) only used by theme to build a slider for home page or custom page, if so desired. If you’re not using it already, then no need to use it unless you want to. Sliders are NOT used to build menu items. But the demo page shows what it’s good for (link above), for those who’ve never looked at that.
MANY theme developers use this slider, or the bootstrap slider, and/or woo slider and include them with commercial product (e.g., “Newspaper” theme).
Sorry to ramble on there … hope that made sense.
UPSHOT: no “slider” used with theme would normally have anything to do with menus, navigation, or the like.
The “slide out” menu used by theme is simple CSS/dhtml/less stuff, and doesn’t need a plugin to do that.

It’s strange. On a previous install my menu went boom when i deactivated the slider so i assumed it had something to do with the mobile menu.
So I’ll have to ask, What exactly is it doing? Is it used on the demo site at all?

so by upgrading to a VPS with the settings you recommend, the warnings for Slider Revolution will magically disappear?
As I mentioned by disabling rev slider i’ll jump to 100/100. But then my menu is no longer working. It seems to be enabled on the demo site and I’ve followed the other advice.
These are the only warnings I get now:

Unfortunately, I think the “Slide Out Menu” option is disabled on the demo site, as I can’t get it to work.
Granted, I’m using an iPhone, so it’s easy to mix up the “Menu swipe” with the “Go Back One Page” swipe, but I tried multiple times on the demo site and can’t get the menu to slide out…

the two most serious bug are fixed now and I will update the theme on themeforest in a couple of hours after we finish testing.
I too think it would be nice to have a beta group/program or early access to the latest theme code but we don’t have the logistics for this yet.
1. The first bug (speed booster) – was because our deploy script did not include two new javascript files in the theme (the minimize ones). All of our testing with the speed booster plugin took place with our local version of the theme, not the final deploy broken version. (From now on we will test all things on the final deploy version)
2. the second bug with the authors that are not admin was due to a missing en queue for the wordpress color picker. For some reason it is not automatically loaded when a user is not admin. (All of our test users where admins 😐 )
@vexx can you give me a sample url? It is happening also on our demo? What browser?

v3 is ready for live use, it’s live on our demo server for some time now. From the logs it seems that the theme got corupted (missing files from the theme in the log). Please try to reupload it… that should clean up the error log and the performance should also be better.
