Hello Fabio Russo,
Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized. Notice that is not a simple task and if you do not have any experience in this regard you will do not bring good results for the theme. Also, notice that we have a speed optimization tutorial but this is addressed only to advanced users. So, if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ you can increase the page speed loading and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because the speed optimization services are not covered by our support policy, as you can read here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/ Check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ regarding on dedicated server to fit to our requirements.
Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to minify the style.css file and we cannot recommend any plugins with this functionality because is not tested with our theme. For minifying this file, we are using CloudFlare for our demo and works fine. If you want to read other views from our users, please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tip-how-to-easily-minify-your-css-without-breaking-your-site/
One of our top members here on the forum wrote his own optimization tutorial here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/ and here -> https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/
Basically, these are the theme requirements
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Thanks for your understanding!
I have done all thing that you have mentioned here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
But still the page speed score not improved well !! Browser caching is not working !! what to do??
Hi,
We do not provide support over the phone. You can explain the situation or problems you are having with the theme here on the forum. Provide a link to your website if possible, and more details about the issue so we can understand better. The faster we identify the problem, the better.
Thanks

Hello blk709,
I have tested your website on Page Speed Insights from Google and I have noticed that you should need to work for it if you want to achieve a good page speed -> https://www.screencast.com/t/qPRSNYUp.

I’m reading over the section on how to speed up my site –> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
In section, “5.2 To get the list of registered css and js,” says to update functions.php. In the image, it looks like it’s in the wp-admin directory. I don’t have this file anywhere that I can see.
Any ideas?

Hello MiguelPat,
Unfortunately, this plugin was not been tested with our theme and rather with the mobile theme and we cannot say for sure if it will work or not, sorry! Notice that the Mobile Theme is very complex and this plugin might interfere with it and causes a lot of unknown issues. Also, notice that our mobile theme has an own mobile style and the theme will not recognize any code/shortcode comes from another untested plugin and that’s why you cannot bring any results. As a remark, the mobile theme has been designed to be used only in default layout and to be faster, this theme will not recognize any Visual Composer or TD Composer shortcode.
Thanks for your understanding!
Theme has nothing to do with your content on instagram — perhaps optimize the images you upload to instagram before you upload them?
Theme can’t change images on other sites; if it’s loading from the cdn, that’s where the images are. See the instagram website for developers, to learn more. 🙂
There might be some ‘preview’ plugin you can use which loads preview images locally of your instagram feed, and saves those images locally .. which might be faster, although would load up your local storage, and might actually be slower … but don’t have recommendation on that.
(I don’t work here; just veteran/dinosaur in this industry)
Hi,

Hi,
1. I don’t think I fully understand what you mean by name pages. If you could provide more details or some examples it would be very helpful.
2. The mobile theme does not have many settings and options, for the purpose of being faster and. It is meant to provide a simpler version of the website, that would be optimal for mobile devices. It is also optional, not required.
The breadcrumbs on mobile are related to the desktop settings. If they are enabled on desktop, they will be present on mobile as well.
If you would like to remove on mobile only, you could use some CSS. A code like this entered in Theme panel->Mobile theme->Custom CSS should remove the breadcrumbs from all mobile pages
– https://www.screencast.com/t/WhWj0aDEV
– https://www.screencast.com/t/VJl1Yc6F
.entry-crumbs {
display: none;
}
3. The category template 3 seems to be loaded from what I can tell. If you mean the category tag color, make sure each category has a color set in the per category settings
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ewVJaotL
The category tags will appear at all times, not randomly. At the moment they are displaying on that category page
– https://www.screencast.com/t/4hL1yxWjI7I
4. That drop-down cannot be disabled, there is no option for that at the moment. It is a complex and automatic process that calculates the number of categories that are displayed, in the theme javascript file.
5. The theme will style the paragraph containing the category descriptions, by default. At the moment there are no specific options for this, there might be in future updates.
You could style them differently with CSS for example like this, or how you like them to be
– https://www.screencast.com/t/9NpLGqKUvEQF
.td-category-description p {
font-family: Merriweather,'Open Sans',arial,sans-serif;
font-style: normal;
color: black;
}
Thanks
Hi,
Those look like shortcodes of some kind, in that page structure. If you would like the same layout like the magazine demo, you simply have to install it
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
Make sure the tagDiv composer plugin is active, although it should be automatically activated when the theme is installed
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Then install the demo you want. Let us know if there are further issue installing the demo.

Hello,
I have activated the WP Super Cache plugin.
the site goes much faster.
but I blame the WP Users Online.
It does not make my visits anymore.
How can I do?
Do I have to set some advanced data in WP Super Cache?
Actually loads faster in the head, which is why it’s there. 😉
But I don’t work here; just feedback.
Hey Catalin, I’m not being helped here. As I said, I can’t see how to attach files to a forum post. My client is shifting to anger mode, I need to move faster than three days and nothing more than being told twice to add attachments, but not how to do so. Please help me!

Hello adam21s,
For page speed optimization, please try to consult our useful manual here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
See the tutorials section in theme docs; Google it; try testing page with GTmetrix.com and read the how-to help there.
Theme has nothing to do with how you optimize your server/hosting; so good to review tutorials online for how to optimize WP sites in general, while learning to use and optimize WP.
But you can find some pointers here ! –
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Welcome to WordPress! 🙂
We’ve been using TD COmposer for couple of years since it was in beta as descendant of the ‘shim’ workaround for VC. For us, it’s 10x faster, less bloat, more secure, etc.
But we only use it for home page layout and nothing else for our news magazine sites. We’re not building corporate sites with it or similar. Hence “newsmag” theme for news magazines.
Back in 2013/14 VC used to kill our old server with weird CPU spikes, driving the system from .09 to 70 (something like 7,000x normal!). We have had ZERO issues with TDC on literally one dozen websites with both Newsmag and TD IonMag.
So, I’m probably one of the first big cheerleaders for TDC over VC. But again, I never used VC for “page layouts” or “corporate info page” sites. Just for news magazine home page layout, since posts and pages for rest of a news portal don’t need complex layouts (in our case anyway).
There is a side by side analysis — I think there might even be one on the current newsmag sales page on ThemeForest ?

Is Tagdiv faster and better than VS?
Is there any testimoni or analysis?
