Is the TagDivmobile theme faster than the normal theme for mobile? I had the Tagdiv mobile theme installed but there seems to be a conflict with visual composer. The content in About us page and some other pages doesn’t display. How do you fix that?
I’ve put it back to the normal theme but it seems slower more sluggish.
Hi,
Please follow this guide and increase the mentioned parameters if required – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Also you should try as a test to disable all your plugins except Visual composer, clear your cache and check the speed again, maybe a plugin is causing this. Here is a guide to help you further improve your website speed – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ and recommended configuration for the cache – https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Thanks
Hi, no longer updating this thread, as I’m now moving to testing optimizations utilizing
a) php 7 with enhancements for code and opcache, even better than php 5.6 (5.4 is a DOG!).
b) https + http/2
We have dedicated server, so a bit different approach than many others here. We do not use CDN as not secure (e.g., Cloudflare), or not any faster for our U.S. client/audience due to our server in Class A datacenter in Texas.
Hello,
Please check the support hours at the top right corner of this page. We do not work on weekends and there is also the time zone to consider.
Your site seems fine desktop and mobile. You could use a bit more loading speed but the images do load. Please use this guide to improve your loading speed: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Thank you!
Hello Cosmic,
1)Please make sure that you are suing the latest version of the theme and also, the latest version of Social Counter which comes bundled with the theme. Otherwise, please update it, clear all your caches and check the results. For more references about our Social Counter, please consult here ->https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial/
2)These lines cannot come from our theme. Most likely, it comes from some of your plugins. You should provide your website URL so I can take a closer look and also, so I will be able to provide a more accurate code.
3)Please ensure that you have right setup your category or sub-category. Also, please check if you have minimum 1 posts in this sub_category. Otherwise, this will not be displayed. Let’s see the example -> https://www.screencast.com/t/nwMF6N3Pl1U5 -> https://www.screencast.com/t/xB3plY9p1
4)Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized. Notice that is not a simple task and if you do not have any experience in this regard you will do not bring good results for the theme. Also, notice that we have a speed optimization tutorial but this is addressed only to advanced users. So, if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ you can increase the page speed loading and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because the speed optimization services is not covered by our support policy, as you can read here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/ Check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ regarding on dedicated server to fit to our requirements.

Hi Catalln,
I am sorry for such huge delay in answering your messages. I was on a long vacation and back then I have actually replied to the email which are no-reply email address I have noticed later.
Here is what I was trying to send you long time ago:
Hi,
I kinda understand that there is no such option and that you won’t customise it according to my need but can you explain why it has such negative effect on loading for mobile phones?
Would you be that kind and have a look at it what you’ll have time. I just enabled the lazy loading for you to have a look at it what I mean. I am still trying to make my pages as small as possible in order to load faster on mobile devices. I already tried your mobile plugin and it’s awesome regarding the page speed loading time but I kinda use different menu plugins and I haven’t managed to implement it for the mobile version yet. However, I am about to make my pages load fast on mobile devices with no use of you mobile plugin and that brings me to the lazy page loading and also I wanted to ask you how to minify newspaper JavaScript as I have tried to either combine it or even minify it but it always break my site. I have managed to combine and minify most of the js except the jQuery and newspaper js files. Any kind of help or hint would be very much appreciated. I use W3 Total Cache plugin in order to speed up my web site but as I mentioned I am having troubles to manage to minify or combine newspaper js file along with others. I tried most of the variations but none of them worked for the newspaper js file.
Thanks
Hello,
If your site is optimized for page speed properly, the difference will not be very impacting on the loading speed. Please use this guide if you do plan on using sliders: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Thank you!

Hi ,
A am developer of Brisknews.com , we are facing one issue related to speed booster plugin , we already read https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ this article 2-3 times…
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8RgZ_2is2c8Z1cwYWh3bjVCWU0/view?usp=drivesdk
We already applied below method :
Edit the ../wordpress/wp-content/plugins/td-speed-booster/td-speed-booster.php file and target the css and js using the following code:
For JS files – $this->move_js_to_footer(‘FILE-ID’);
For CSS files –$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘FILE-ID’);
$this->move_js_to_footer(‘FILE-ID’);
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘FILE-ID’);
check this screenshot :

1)Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized. 2)The WP Super Cache plugin is compatible with the mobile devices, but if you are using the Mobile Theme, please notice that you should make some changes for a better working. This could be a problem from wp super cache and not the browser. If you use the plugin, please use this method to fix the issue:
Use this link and add the customization as marked here: https://github.com/Automattic/wp-super-cache/pull/185/files
Edit wp-cache-phase1.php and add the green code from the right column as it shows there.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello harmario,
Please keep in mind that our theme does not have an automatic option which minifies your CSS. After this will be minified with some tool, it can be replaced in the style.css. Also, regarding on how you can move the js and CSS to the footer, you should consult our guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ because there you will see all the steps which are required to be followed to increase your page speed. You should use our TagDiv Speed Booster.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
1. For increasing the page speed please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
2. Please only use wp super cache and these settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ and please disable any server side cache.
3. We did not test that tool and cannot provide any insight into this type of test. We suggest using google page speed and structure data. There are lots of tests online that provide very different results. We created our theme based on google;s resources as they are the most trust-worthy.
Thank you!
Hello,
After you find a suitable server you can use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Thank you!
Hi,
I see that you have Speed booster on your site, what that does is provide a speed boost by moving the loading of the resources like stylesheet and javascript files in the bottom of the page, while also using the compressed javascript file from the theme, so there could be some visible delays. You should try to optimize your site using the suggestions in this tutorial – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ or just disable the speed booster plugin.
Thanks
Hi Catalin,
As explained here https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/, I tried to install the tagDiv speed booster plugin, but I couldn’t find it in the WP plugin search. Can you give me the complete name ? And then is the plugin compatible with PHP 7 ?
Thanks in advanced.
All of the issues above are still exist and I removed theme/pluigns and then installed again. I don’t have any plugins beside the ones in the theme bundle. So the problem is not related any untested plugins as you believe.
Hopefully you can find a solution for this.
By the way I don’t need any optimization services from you and I already did everything regarding https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ .

Hello Berbi,
Please keep in mind that we do not have any bad reports in this regard with our theme. Hello amurtes,
1)Please disable your untested plugins because it is possible to have some conflicts in your theme. Disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins which come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins.
2)This is strange what you mean. So, please notice that we do not have any bad reports in this regard, sorry! Our mobile theme does not go to download another file instead of the mobile plugin, sorry! I suspect this issue comes from your untested plugins. Disable all of them, clear all your caches and check the results.
3)Your image is not loaded as expected, sorry! Please try to load it again in your Media Files, clear the caches and check the results. This error appears because the theme does not know the source of your image and that’s why you get this issue.
4)Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized. Notice that is not a simple task and if you do not have any experience in this regard you will do not bring good results for the theme. Hi,
You can not make the image dimensions smaller because the modules on the blocks need a certain thumb size to display and this is the way the blocks were designed, these thumbs being generated from the featured images you set on your posts as explained here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/ Big grids are meant to use big thumbs as seen in the demo here – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/ – https://www.screencast.com/t/wKgYqeMEnnrq You need to optimize the images through software in order to compress the size in kilobytes if you want to make your site faster. Please use this guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Thanks
Hello,
I have a question about block’s image sizes. As you know that to make website speed faster, block’s image sizes on homepage should be smaller. For example, block 11 ‘s image size 218 x 150 (I wanna make it 200 x 100) block 3’s 324 x 160 ( I wanna make it 270 x 130), Big grids’ image sizes are also really large and i wanna shrink them too. Could you pls explain how to make block’s image sizes smaller on homepage? (I have no coding knowledge but i can try if it is possible to shrink images by coding easily)
Thanks !
