Well, I have updated the theme with the new version. And I have gone behind the scenes to increase my category count to 3000 per the instruction of the last web person. But on the pulldown menu using Flex Box 5, it does not show all of my categories! This is becoming increasingly frustrating. The developers of this theme need to start making it so that we can have as many categories as we want. Especially for those of us who are media professionals. We need to be able to add more categories. Please advise that you can make a change to the software. Thanks.

Hi aodto,

If is that the “-” that you want to remove you can use this custom css
.td-big-grid-flex .td-post-author-name span, .td_module_flex .td-post-author-name span {
display: none!important;
}

Set the code in theme panel > custom code> custom css and it will remove the – from all flex elements.

Hope this will help you!

HI,

This code is normal generate dynamical by the theme when you are using tagDiv Composer, trying to recreate it manually will not work.
Let me know the design/layout that you want to achieve making this block, maybe it can be made using some settings from flex blocks or maybe combine more elements.

Thank you!

Is there a way to have all columns in one row at equal height?

If and when the Block is a loop block – not a manually created selection of blocks in a column, as you show here: https://i.imgur.com/3mlq0fr.png

So as far as Flax Blocks are concerned, it does not apply to the alignment inside Flex Blocks?

It only applies to how Flax Blocks are aligned in relation to each other. Or, to put it another way, the example you show here https://i.imgur.com/3mlq0fr.png is not a Flex Block but a manually created selection of individual blocks.

I do get it now. Thank you, case closed.

Hi,

If you are using in pages flex elements you can set the height of image -> https://i.imgur.com/eJPOJXY.jpg also if you are using a single post template you can choose to use Single Post Bg Featured Image and you can set the height for featured image -> https://i.imgur.com/OnyIhGt.jpg
Also I set this on our list of improvements.

Thank you!

But this is what i use now and i want it clean with css classes.

Hi,

The big grid flex 2 on mobile is working normal, this will display 4 posts using the left/right scroll -> https://i.imgur.com/O7drzlk.png

Thank you!

Hi,
Indeed these elements are using other blocks.
A solution for related articles is to use a single post templates, edit it with tagDiv Composer and replace the related articles with a flex block that you can filter it using these options -> https://i.imgur.com/Pj5oLm5.png
Unfortunately for the “more stories” this option can not be done, sorry!
Hope this will help you!

Yes, it can be found on each row. BUT, does it do anything on each row with every Block?

I can find hardly any block that is actually adjusted by those row settings.

(And yes, I do mean the one you were asking. As per the title of this forum post.)

On:
https://tagdiv.com/flexibility-rows-columns-newspaper-theme/

what is the block that you are manipulating there, in the first image/video/animation? I cannot achieve anything close to what that animations shows.

Hi,

If you are referring to these settings > https://tagdiv.com/flexibility-rows-columns-newspaper-theme/ these can be found on each row and column.
This documentation -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/ is related only for flex blocks.

Hi there,
Starting from amber light pro demo i added “big grid flex 2” module , but switching on mobile preview from tag div composer the module seems to be not responsive as other navite modules inside the demo how can i solve that?

Thank you Calin. I had already tried what you suggest, but thumbs were still always cropped, less or more.

I found a solution though for images whithin flex blocs. In case someone has the same problem, just add this to your CSS:

.td-thumb-css {
background-size: contain!important;
background-repeat: no-repeat!important;
}

But I still have the problem with the images which are not within flex blocs (for example in “related articles” or “more stories”)
I installed the plugin “Simple Image Sizes”, set all thumbs to “not crop” and regenerated all images but this still does not change anything.

Could you tell me what can be done?
Thanks!

Hello !

On the Flex Block you will have to edit it using tagDiv composer: https://www.screencast.com/t/A2El4vm8rD Go to the block and set its settings: https://www.screencast.com/t/XIouEYnyG4

Thank you !

Hi.
I have a Big Grid Flex 1 block at my home page (https://demo.kamecomunicacion.com/). Although the filter is set for a certain category (“Eventos”), and the sorting is set to latest, I cannot see the same post sortered as they can see at the category page (https://demo.kamecomunicacion.com/index.php/category/eventos/).
Is there an error with the block or did I miss setting something at block properties?
Thanks in advance.

Hi loslunesseriefilos,

Yes, each block.grid is using a different thumb (image size), these are created by our theme when you upload an image -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/ it will be indicate to chose only few and disable the rest of them.
Also make sure that all theme the settings are like in our requirements, please follow the guide carefully
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.

I think that you are referring to this pagination from blocks -> https://i.imgur.com/PgY1B0W.png if yes, then this will load the images/thumbs to, if you do not want to use thumbs, you can use flex blocks and hide the featured image -> https://i.imgur.com/H2gATRP.png in this way the thumb will no more be loaded.

Also when you are editing the website this is not using the cache and this is another thing that will make our Bandwith bigger.

Thank you!

Hi,

On flex blocks you can use the option for modified date only -> https://i.imgur.com/qmM9X19.png the time ago option is available only inside the post at this moment.

Thank you for your understanding!

Hi muterobert,

By default only the flex blocks and blocks has the comment count box.
Also there is no option to can move only the comment box, this can be done only with custom css. Set a class on that element and use a css like this one -> https://i.imgur.com/jEs30mC.png -> https://i.imgur.com/wwQJzYO.png
If you want I can help you with custom css, just provide me the link to your webist.

Thank you!

On any Flex Block, for Row or Column, on the Layout tab:
https://i.vgy.me/6pua1N.png

Please explain what these settings do, or where I can read about it.

This: https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/ does not explain much about it.
