There seem to be something wrong with the theme for grids. I installed the politics demo. trying to create a front page, and the colums does not align correctly always.
ex:
1. I add an empty row (no columns)
2. change row to be 2:1 layout. Meaning a sidebar (1 col) at the right and rest (2 col) main body content.
3. Add Flex Block 3 to the 2-col part of the row. But the layout is not correct.
4. If I change column to be full width it displays correctly.. but then I cannot have a sidebar.
Is the page somehow to narrow? That makes the last column always fall below?
How to fix this?
Hello !
It appears that your big grid flex 5 zoom effect works. Please make sure you clear your cache after you do changes to your pages.
Thank you !
Hi,
The difference will not be so visible, so the website will slowing down insignificant, indeed this depend on the number of flex blocks you’ll use ( using 2-3 will be insignificant, but using 20-30 will change the situation ).
Thank you!
Is there any way to reduce the space between the category filter and the posts content in a “Flex Block 3”?

Big Grid Flex 5
It only shows in page editing with tagdiv composer….
Hello Calin,
OK I understand.
Could you give me more info on which core files I need to edit, for the Big Grid, flex bloc, and modules, to allow HTML tags ?
eventually wich line I need to edit ?
So that i can put those modified files in my child theme … ?
Many thanks,
Robin.
Hi,
Unfortunately for the moment the “Limit post number” is global, maybe this option will can be set individual in the coming updates.
The only option is the on mentioned by you, to hide the flex on mobile and set a new one.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
In order to exclude a post you’ll need to set it with this prefix “-” -> http://prntscr.com/pzy2wa -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/
Thank you!
Hello Support,
I’m fine tuning the responsive version of the site, and on iphone, I need to limit the post amount of a module, specifcally for iphone, but doesn’t seems possible. the Limit post number field affects all versions.
is there a way to specify a different Post limit number for Desktop / Smartphone view ?
the articles list is too long for phones.
I know I can hide a module on iphone, and insert a new one jusst for phones, but it’s gonna slow down the page load…
Hello,
My site uses quite ling titles, and we need to be able to cut them visually where needed.
And noticed that the <br /> tag in an article title is not working with Big Grid or flex block or modules.
https://www.monacohebdo.mc/
the tag seems to be ignored.
(but still here when you go on the article page)
https://www.monacohebdo.mc/29639-cedric-biscay-shibuya-productions-shenmue
(if you inspect the title, you can see the <br/> is there and effective)
Is there a way to make this <br /> tag not ignored in those modules ?
Many thanks,
Robin.
Hi,
I have created sidebar flexbox using cloud library. How can i filter sidebar posts using tag/category used in current post
Hello !
Indeed the blocks are gone from the tagDiv Composer without standard pack. All you have are Flex Blocks and big grid flex, You will have to use them in order to achieve the design you want without standard pack.
Thank you !
Hi,
The “[tagDiv] Block 1” widget will display as default posts, so if you are using shop post you’ll need to change the post type -> http://prntscr.com/pyy7su you can check more about this in our documentation from here .
The flex blocks make part from the new version of Newspaper, these have a lot of options for customize and these can be set with tagDiv Composer in pages the cloud templates from tagDiv Cloud Library in this way you can create sidebars on post template and is no need for the widgets.
The classic blocks make part from standard pack plugin.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
You’ll need to use the tagDiv Composer and yes, you can use cloud template too.
For the start, you can make the settings for my screenshots, this will help you to understand better how is working.
Also you can check our documentation for here too -> https://tagdiv.com/category/documentation/
Flex Block Settings Guide -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/
Big Grid Flex Settings -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/big-grid-flex-settings/
Thank you!
Hi,
This feature is on our list, we hope that in coming update to make more elements to be like flex blocks ( editable per each device).
Thank you!
Hi,
To be more clear, in Theme panel, section thumbs, you’ll see and description for all the thumbs on what element will apply, if you consider that you’ll use that thumb you enable it, if not you can disable so the theme will not create that thumb -> http://prntscr.com/pyxjbv
So is your decision which dimension you choose to use -> http://prntscr.com/pyxk7y , using flex elements you can choose which size to display -> http://prntscr.com/pyxlpq and the format ( width and height for image ) -> http://prntscr.com/pyxne8 so it can be 16:9 or 4:3.
If the size is 1920px then there should be no problems.
Thank you!
Hi
For the moment these are the only filters after date -> http://prntscr.com/pyw94a -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/ for what you need, the only way to achieve it is to use a plugin or to make some changes in them core.
Thank you for your understadning!
Dear support,
i’m using the “[tagDiv] Block 1” widget in the default sidebar but see no categories showing up. Apparently, there is no option in the widget panel to show them up. So i’ve been digging around your code and found out that in wp-content\plugins\td-standard-pack\Newspaper\includes\modules\td_module_4.php there’s the following:
<?php if (td_util::get_option('tds_category_module_4') == 'yes') { echo $this->get_category(); }?>
But that tds_category_module_4 seems to not exists throughout the whole theme/plugin.
So basically, how can i make post categories show up when using block widgets on a sidebar?
P.S: also, why there are no “flex blocks” as widgets?
Thank you very much, as always.
Hi,
Unfortunately for the moment the single image can bot be set different on each device as flex blocks, sorry!
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
If you are not using the mobile theme plugin, then you should see the block 11 as on desktop -> http://prntscr.com/pyiqh4
Usually if you are using flex blocks then you can set the layout you wan on mobile an desktop -> http://prntscr.com/opf5vx -> http://prntscr.com/opf6lf
If you are using the responsive version, normal the first time is displayed the content and after that the sidebars, unfortunately we do not have a documentation only for this, sorry! if you want to achieve something and you can not find in our documentation, please just let us know!
-> https://tagdiv.com/category/documentation/
-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-documentation/
Thank you!
Hi,
Unfortunately the Big Grid Flex can not be set in widgets, if you want to set it you’ll need to use tagDiv Composer.
Thank you!
Hi,
Lets start steep by steep,
this type of code will be display only if you are using the amp plugin, usually this code need to be set in head section of post/page, using only the amp plugin, you’ll need to use the “Transitional” option -> http://prntscr.com/pyf5d7, please check our documentation very carefully -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/ in this way you’ll have the classic amp, or you can use the mobile theme plugin and amp plugin and choose this option -> http://prntscr.com/pyf6e4 in this way you’ll have the mobile theme layout on amp and you’ll use only the amp without mobile theme, also you can set the auto amp ad in theme panel -> http://prntscr.com/pyf713 als if this is a new account then is possible to take some time until the ads will be approved for your website, until then these will not appear.
<amp-auto-ads type="adsense"
data-ad-client="ca-pub-#############">
</amp-auto-ads>
Also we recommend to use only flex elements and try to replace all the classic elements with flex elements and cloud elements, in this way you’ll achieve a better speed -> https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-update-standard-pack-or-tagdiv-cloud-templates/
1. This can be possible only if you set an flex block with Auto Load for mobile and you hide it for the desktop and one with load more on desktop and hide on mobile theme.
2. If you want to have more control over the category page, then you can take a cloud category from tagDiv Cloud Library and edit it with tagDiv Composer
Yes, the Yoast SEO Plugin is compatible with our theme -> http://prntscr.com/pyfj2q
Thank you!
Hi, team Tagdiv.
There’s an option in the mobile theme to automatically place the ad code after a certain number of articles. For example, showing an ad after every three articles. But I couldn’t find any such option for the desktop. I am using a flex block 1 to display the articles with load more button as pagination. How can I display the ad after every 5 or 6 articles?
Thanks.
Please ignore #4, as I went ahead and switched out the Flex Block 1 to a Posts Loop, which doesn’t have Ajax.
hi,
in my url: https://pelotas13horas.com.br/memoria/ I use flex block 1
