Please understand that even though your assistance has long since ended, we are still doing everything we can to assist you.

Our theme is based on thumbs and if those will not be, the theme needs to load the entire image, resulting in a considerably smaller page size.
Even WordPress automatically creates 3 thumbs – https://i.imgur.com/QtZVtbQ.png
Now use only the thumbs that are needed (2-3 thumbs), the rest can be disabled from the theme panel – https://i.imgur.com/CUWUkUQ.png in this way it will be the original image and 1,2 or 3 thumbs, if you want you can go for only one, most used thumb is 696×0, you can let enable only this one and disable the rest. But be sure that you will set on all flex blocks and flex grids that thumb.

After doing this to free up space on the server, what you can do is to use a regeneration plugin that deletes thumbs that are not used, this way all the thumbs that were created and are no longer used will be deleted.

Also, you can use the row and inner row to create a structure as you want and feel it with flex blocks (so you can make a greed layout) and in this way you can filter each block to display what you want and will have the greed layout. All those can be done using tagDiv Composer.

We do not recommend setting two posts loop on the same page/template, please use a flex block or another block, because most of the settings from the first loop element will be set for the second one.

It looks like the element you use for the gallery has a stronger css than the one from the theme.
If you want to set them nicely on 2 columns you can use this custom css:
figure.wp-block-gallery.has-nested-images {
display: flex;
flex-wrap: wrap;
}
Set this css in the theme panel > custom code> custom css.
Also, if you want to remove the click from images on the gallery you can use this custom css.
.wp-block-gallery.has-nested-images.is-cropped figure.wp-block-image:not(#individual-image) a {
pointer-events: none;
}

You can’t filter the block Posts Loop, you can only sort it => https://www.screencast.com/t/geckLSYd5sa, so if you have set the Posts Loop on the homepage, then will display all posts of all categories, if you have set the Posts Loop set on the category template, then will display the posts only from that category.

For the category template, if you have set a posts loop then will display all posts in this category or you can use Flex Block/Big Grid Flex and set the filter to “Category -Current category” => https://i.imgur.com/7P99qx0.png -> https://wpmarmite.com/en/change-url-categories-wordpress/

Hi Michaelgroth, if you have only posts and pages, then you can use the posts loop elements, there is no need for the flex loop, and this should be displaying both, posts and pages.
