- NewspaperWhen tagDiv Composer is Not Working
My Website header is not showing & Tagdiv Composer is Not loading when I have to edit page. I have attached a website screenshot below.
Hello Calin,
Thanks for your reply.
1. I read the guide at the link you offered. However, I did not find anything about how to cope with header cloud templates. Moreover, the guide is outdated, and I cannot follow it. The guide shows a screenshot from the cloud template page, where there is a possibility to add new languages (clicking on a plus icon). However, in the latest version of TagDiv/WPML there is no such possibility (see the screenshot at the link https://prnt.sc/uXbaWpcIw1vi).
To add another language I use WPML’s translation management menu. But the header cannot be sent because of base64 encoding.
2. Another solution with online decoder I don’t understand. I have decoded the content of the header cloud template. And what do I do with the decoded text? I can see there a lot of base64 decoded attributes, such as tdc_css, flex_width, f_descr_font_size, content_general and others. Some of them are located under the tags, which are not existing in the custom XML configuration tab. Do I have to add all of them (including new tags) to custom XML or what?
Hi,
Yes, indeed all the content in the cloud header is encoded in base64.
Normally, if you want the header to be used in several languages, this can be done very simply, using certain settings in WPML that offer the possibility of having a cloud header in each language – https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-theme-translations-together-wpml/
Another solution would be to use an online decoder – https://www.base64decode.org/
Thank you!
Hello,
I am using latest WPML and Newspaper.
One of my templates (header template) is saved as base64. Not some fields, but the whole content of the template is base64.
In case when some field is coded as base64, there is a solution at WPML site though editing custom XML configuration file and adding “encoding=base64” to the particular fields. I had this issue with footer template and it was resolved.
But in case when whole template is saved as base64, WPML cannot read it.
Do you know any solution to this problem? Why some templates are saved as base64 and is there a way to avoid it and save normally?
Hej, ok I will try this. Nevertheless it would be cool to have an option for other elements that are not in the header.
Hello the changes I apply in Newspaper – Theme panel version: 12.4 are not reflected in the front design https://desarraigo.es/. For example I change the colors from green to red and the site still looks like in the demo. The typography changes are not applied either. I want to hide the logo in text that says Center Magazine, in the header part, but I can not select the header template because the option disappears when entering, it has a kind of bug, attached video https://www.dropbox.com/s/ti6msk2ezf5x5ci/bug.mov?dl=0 . I bought the theme and installed it and I can’t even apply the basic changes, I need help from the support please thanks!
Thanks,
Also how can i inject ads inbetween paragraphs and inside blogs..? because i Have added adsense auto ads code.. but ads are not showing inside blogs. but ads are working in homepage, header and footer

Hi,
Normally the size of image should not be a problem to not save the image as a background.
I just installed the Gourmet PRO and for me the header seems to work correctly, therefore I think that the problem on your side is caused by something. What I can recommend is to make sure that you do not have a plugin that is interfering, or a child theme.
Also, if you can please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a temporary wp-admin access to the website to check and see from where the problem is coming from and see what it can be done to be resolved.
Thank you!
Hello,
1. I think the problem is caused by the plugin cache; Also, you can try to use Flex Block 1 and check after.
2. Also, our theme uses the WordPress search function, and we made a few changes only for the live search. By default, those will display all posts and pages that contain the word/words you are looking for in the title or post content, but if those words are not in the content, then will not display content about that category, for example. Also, for Header live search you can set taxonomy in search -> https://i.imgur.com/ghBBwHr.png
Thank you!
I am only using the responsive header and no separate mobile version.
The background image was no longer saved for portrait or landscape when I checked just now. I re-added it, the page refreshed, and I saw the green slide-out confirmation when I saved each view.
The image appears in the editor, but the background image field is blank when I revisit each view. I tried this a few times, and the background image disappears from the settings every time. I have not changed any other settings.
BTW, I had the media file set to medium size, so the quality was degraded in the screenshots.

Hi sloope, you understand correctly how the option to hide the image works, what I recommend is to use a mobile page header – https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/ doing this on mobile will be used a different header and should no longer load the one from desktop.
Thank you!
Hi,
I don’t think a screenshot is needed because this is an issue I experience often in the Tag div composer:
For example I use a “Text with title” or “Single image”. When I don’t want to show this element in the landscape/portrait/phone viewport, I select CSS – Display: hidden. So this element is hidden for example in the phone version.
But: The element will be loaded as it just is hidden.
Now I want to design a very wide header image for my first page – but a different one for phone users. If I just select “display: hidden”, the very big header image with a couple of MB will be loaded in the phone version – which is not useful. It should not be loaded in the very first place.
I hope now it’s clear 🙂
Hi MattiaVe, this situation depends on more settings, for example if you are using a cloud header (then set the settings using tagDiv Composer), if you are using the mobile theme plugin, if the sticky option for mobile menu is enabled (if the option is off, the mobile header will load faster and there will be less CLS). Can you please provide a link to the website to investigate the mobile header and see the current settings? Doing this I will be able to see what can be done to improve the results!
Thank you!
Hello,
Please let me know what header template you use, if you have a cloud template, you need to do the changes with tagDiv Composer.
You can add the top bar if you use a header template -> https://www.screencast.com/t/YqnngRKe or you can import a header template that is precisely like header style 1 -> https://i.imgur.com/EAothGC.png -> https://cloud.tagdiv.com/header-template-1/ and this way you can customize each element like logo -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/add-logo-newspaper/ , with tagDiv Composer -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/.
Please check this video about how can create a website from scratch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SoGQ0d5kIBg
Please provide some screenshots and the link to your website.
Thank you!
Hello,
Indeed, I see that now on iPad and mobile the header no longer use the image as background and use only a background color.
If you are using only the responsive version, then what is can recommend is to see if when you are logged in and you edit the header in composer, those headers remains saved?
Also, if you are using the mobile page, then is possible to need to configurate the mobile page template separately – https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/ (right now I see only the color on those devices).
Thank you!
Hello,
You can disable the sign-in from Theme Panel -> Mobile theme -> header and the color from Theme Panel -> Mobile theme -> Theme Colors https://i.imgur.com/9nt1puB.png
Thank you!
Hi,
I think that you are referring that the mobile on amp is taking one second until is loading, this is because on amp is a different header used and it takes some time until is loading. I see that navigating on amp the problem no longer persist, this usually apers when you access the website and until the amp header is completed loaded.
Thank you!
In the photo, the logo has now been removed, but the logo does not come to the center, but comes out on the left side.
How to center a mobile header logo?
After updating the theme, My Header/Menu section does not render properly? Nor sure what happened, can this be fixed.

Hello, I have a beta site running with the Gossip Pro (very big site, like 15 Gb of news) and the header and other parts of the site are not showing. Please I need help and I cannot expose here in public the login details so you can check, what I need to do?
Regards

I apologize for inserting myself, but I’m on the subject:
friend Calin, can you give me some advice please? I’ve done all the recommended optimizations, but I’d like to improve the mobile loading time a bit.
I think apparently the header is a bit heavier (I use the one in the attached image) could you give me a suggestion to ‘lighten’ it a bit please? Changing some item to another for example, or changing some other thing… important – maybe, I think – is finding ways to reduce server calls and header time would improve me, maybe…
you have the answer.. you know everything 🙂
After updating the theme panel, my header logo and menu bar not visible. what needs to be done.
Thanks
Is this CSL problem related to this thread?
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/logo-and-menu-is-smaller-on-scroll-on-sticky-menu-newspaper/
I tried this code from that thread but it does not help
.td-header-wrap .td-affix .td-main-menu-logo img {
max-height: 60px!important;
}
.td-header-wrap .td-affix .sf-menu>li>a {
line-height: 60px!important;
}
I updated second site to 12.4
When I look source in Google chrome developer tool, while scrolling I see changes in following code
<div class="td-header-wrap" style="position: fixed; top: -60px;">
<div class="td-container">
<div id="td-header-menu">
----
<div class="td-container" style="height: auto !important; padding-top: 60px;">
I don’t know what is that option in theme since on one site I don’t see it and on the other one I see it. Looks like floating menu or something else related to header.
Hi there,
I just checked the site and it’s as if the earlier changes weren’t done. The header image is gone again on the live site when viewed on an iPad.
When I checked the header template settings the background images I added in the portrait and landscape viewports were not there. I added them again, cleared the WordPress and device cache, and I’m back to the grey header background.
I made sure I saw the green slide-out when I saved the header, so I’m not sure what’s happening. I’m hoping you ave a fix, but I can re-import the header template if not.
