Hi,

I disabled the “Standard Pack Plugin” and imported “Header Template 13” from the Cloud Library as that seemed the closest to my current header. Please look at the current and new headers here. Notice how the colour for the horizontal line at the bottom of main menu items and in the search box has changed from brown to blue. Also the current header has the logo fixed at 80px height I think but I can’t find any way to fix this in the tagDiv Composer. Please help. Once I’ve fixed the header, I will proceed with other templates. Also can you tell me what is the advantage of doing all this. Is the template going to load lesser resources than it is loading now and make the website faster? I don’t want to go through this exercise and not get any significant benefits.

I am using the DEMO La Mode and would like to customize the header from the cloud template. When I install a template like header 32, I get several error messages on my website. Is that due to my server?

Alright, I don’t know why this is happening, but:

I pasted the Global site tag (gtag.js) – Google Analytics code in the header, below the tag <head>, as Google says.

However, when I use the Chrome extension, it only recognizes the normal Google Analytics code. I mean, it doesn’t recognize the Global site tag.

Why? Other sites similar to mine did this exactly and the Global site tag (gtag.js) is recognized.

Please, help!

Hi,

1. Did you try the theme panel settings ?
Because there is no css for header.

2. Did you try to stretch the row with tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/6a63GpG.jpg

3. That plugin is not bought is provide by the Newspaper team, the WPBakery ( old Visual Composer ) is a bundled one -> https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/213762463-Bundled-Plugins if you download the latest version of Newspaper theme from your themeforest account then you’ll find the plugin inside the packages, this will have the old name js-composer.

4. Now the theme builder is tagDiv Composer, using the tagDIv Composer and visual composer on standard pack should work normal, only if you activate the tagDiv Cloud Library and use cloud templates, this theme extension was build for tagDiv Composer and is not compatible with visual composer, also we do not recommend to use on the same page more then one builder.

Thank you!

Hello,
lately when I write articles on the blog and preview when the article has not yet been published, I get the following error message:

Will you check me out and settle down please?

Also when I add links to articles they appear with strikethrough text as if they were errors, not the usual link format. This too should be fixed, thanks.

Hi,

1. Unfortunately in our theme there is no option to change the author name from url, maybe this can be achieve with some plugins or custom work.

2. From what I can see the footer page is ok, the only think that I see is that you have the logos to closer -> https://i.imgur.com/GtlHZuN.png you can edit it with tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/IqO6vzE.png

3. You’ll need to use the tagDiv Composer -> https://tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-page-builder-basics/ edit the header template -> https://i.imgur.com/SxHCTDj.png -> https://i.imgur.com/h0BNyrz.png -> https://i.imgur.com/043Ofl9.png -> https://i.imgur.com/N6RsbcE.png for the background image check the background image from css tab from the row -> https://i.imgur.com/fxBlEJv.png

I’ve migrated our site from dev to live (using Duplicator as the domain is slightly different) and I’m stuck with this error:
“Warning: getimagesize(…filename – logo…): failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found in ……public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/shortcodes/header/tdb_header_logo.php on line 611”

but the file (image) is there and I can open the URL no problem.
The warning on top appears with or without DEBUG option turned on. Help appreciated – going LIVE soon

cheers

Hi,

1. I think that you are using header style 6 or multipurpose style 3.
Now the css code that you have in Theme panel is not for the menu background, this is set from theme panel> theme colors -> https://www.screencast.com/t/FPN29npU also now you can use cloud headers from tagDiv Cloud library and you can edit them using the theme builder, tagDiv Composer.

2. So in order to have the grid stretch on full width you’ll need to use the tagDiv Composer, edit the page and set a Big Grid Full -> https://i.imgur.com/1wvFEnc.jpg
Big Grid Flex Settings -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/big-grid-flex-settings/
Block settings tutorial -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/

3. The Visual composer that you are using is an old version, now the update version is WPBakery, but we recommend to use it with our theme only if you do not use cloud templates ( using cloud templates with WPBakery can create conflicts).

Also you can check more in our documentation from here(new documentation) -> https://tagdiv.com/category/documentation/ and from here( old documentation ) -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-documentation/

Hope this will help you!
Thank you!

Hi,

SO you are referring to the underline under the titles, you can change the style on these from Theme panel> Block settings> Global block header template, I think that you have now set the header template 6, change it and the underline it will be removed.

I’m about to make the switch from 9 to 10

I read this:
If your website was created with a previous version of Newspaper Theme, you should update the theme according to the theme documentation. Leave the plugin active until all dependencies are removed. What do I mean? For example, your website uses one of the default headers from the theme panel, and you deactivate the Standard Pack, your header will be displayed as a series of text and symbols on the frontend.

Can you provide the link to the documentation so I can do this correctly.

Thank you.

Hi!

The settings don’t offer me what I want.

For blog posts I use this ->

.td-post-content a {
text-decoration: none;
box-shadow: inset 0 -0.5em 0 0 #ffff00;
}

.td-post-content a:hover {
background-color: #ffff00;
}

I would like to use the same CSS for pages as well, but I don’t know how to address the pages.

I tried .page which changes all links, also in the header et cetera.

I also tried .td-page-content but that somehow doesn’t change a thing.

Help! 🙂

Thanks,
Maaike

Hi,

If the logo is inline with the menu, it is clear it will have a preset size. If you need a bigger logo please choose another header style that can provide a bigger container for the logo to fit in. Please choose header styles 9, 10 or 11 which will show the logo in the exact size you upload it in.

Also you can use an alternative an use cloud header from tagDiv Cloud Library and edit it with tagDiv Composer -> Find out how to import a cloud library header here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-manager/

Thank you!

Hi,

The elements will not stretch if you have set a background color or image you can check more in our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/background-introduction/ this will solved the problem with full width and stretch -> https://www.screencast.com/t/sqqp0gHg5QaY
The color from mega menu can be change from theme panel if you are using a standard -> https://i.imgur.com/g7SpmlQ.pngheader style -> https://i.imgur.com/sN8UNlv.png or if you are using the cloud header you’ll need to edit it with tagDiv Composer, click on menu after that on inner row ( or row if you do not have inner row) -> https://i.imgur.com/wnWH8sE.png and set in css tab the background color -> https://i.imgur.com/dlFd25t.png

Hope this will help you!

I tried importing pre-designed single page templates from the Tagdiv cloud library and set it as my default single page template as well as I tried using it on a single post only. However, the posts with the custom single page template are showing a blank white page below the header with literally no information.

Hi,

You need to use this custom css ->
#td-header-search-button-mob {
display: none;
}

The code need to be set in theme panel -> https://i.imgur.com/YTsUo4x.png
