If you want to display for your homepage only latest articles and have “classic pagination” you can use ” page template with articles – http://screencast.com/t/MpTTzXizx6A and set the module 11 to display it(this module is used for block 12) – http://screencast.com/t/aMcUhJxoTt so you will have pagination – http://screencast.com/t/h5cnF03BPK

You can use media queries and hide them via custom css or you can change font-size on mobile screens.
For example hide Big Grid(if you want to do this only for homepage use .home .td_block_big_grid ):

@media (max-width: 767px){
.td_block_big_grid {
display: none;
}
}

I see that constant request is made for the admin-ajax file: http://screencast.com/t/aB3cZWc3EE5 I believe this is made by the Heartbeat Control plugin which I suggest you disable and also disable the rest of them, leave just the theme’s Visual Composer and test again.

To reduce the number of request made to the admin ajax file you can also disable the ajax view counter feature if you’re using it as this is actually calling ajax file for each post view to update the counter: http://screencast.com/t/MC4wUfU8

You can also try to reduce the number of blocks/queries on your homepage. The admin ajax file is also called allot when customizing the theme and making change in the theme panel. Not sure how you could avoid that however if you still experience problems with this you could also consider changing hosts as access tot his file resources is requested by the WordPress and by the theme.

Unfortunately theme doesn’t have an option to have a different header for categories. You would need custom modification for this, you can find an example here(a different header on homepage) – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/different-headers-on-pages/

The VC shot-codes aren’t appearing in the search result’s by default. I’ve tested this using the latest theme version: http://screencast.com/t/1WQIaSQg – http://screencast.com/t/Q8mu3bD8k – all this are homepages so if the short-codes would appear on search result they should also appear here.

Can you provide more details as I have checked your site and it working fine at least from my side.
Did you updated your theme via FTP?
Do you have news ticker on your homepage?

If you still have this issue please make sure that you check this also without any plugins active, leave just Visual Composer active and also clear cache. Let me know!
