Hello,
I hope this was not asked already, i browsed through the forum but did not find it.
Basically, I do not want posts that appear on my slider, to appear in other blocks of the homepage below.
I found this in the newspaper theme forum: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/slider-in-category-page/#post-11753
I assumed it might be working for newsmag as well, but it does not appear to.

If you want to show the button like on our demo please use Read More for your articles – http://screencast.com/t/IalXRz8nc – http://screencast.com/t/bpyCP4ED1 and use module 15 to display articles for your blog – http://screencast.com/t/VjDgcYIQ This will work only on loop(blog, category, homepage + latest articles template) when is used module 15(display the articles content).
If you don’t want to do this to each of your articles you can use a module with “Read more” button for your blog: http://screencast.com/t/qsXUab32

I created a blog page in m y website using the loop homepage-with-article model.
Now I would like the posts are shown big as in module1 but not in their entire lenght
SO I wonder how can I shorten module1 so that it can show only excerpt
I know that module7 in derivated from module1 and it has excerpt, but in module7 excerpt the font style and pagination is not like .td-post-content
that it’s what I want
Hope you can understand my request… I’m looking for a module with the aspect of module1 but with “shortable” lenght as in other modules with excerpt!

Unfortunately the theme doesn’t have an option for this. What you can do is to use media queries and customize you homepage to look different on mobile screens(change font size and hide some rows/columns).
For example change font size on mobile screen: http://screencast.com/t/XXN14Px3GI4
Also you can use an extra class for rows that you want to hide on mobile: http://screencast.com/t/tVNpF4zv and use custom css to hide: http://screencast.com/t/N2LGI3Ms4zKK

I stumbled upon another site recently that uses Newsmag and I really liked one of the module they were using because of it’s responsiveness on mobile devices.
If you go to http://sneakerbardetroit.com/, you will notice posts displayed in Block 11 / Module 10:
When you go mobile, you end up with the block looking like this:
Unfortunately, when I use the same block and module for my homepage, my articles look like this on mobile:
And it creates a LOT of scrolling for users when browsing.
Now my question is, how can I achieve the same results? I noticed I’m on Newsmag 1.7 vs the other site who’s on Newsmap 1.5.

I’m using the Homepage default, with the big slide and recent articles only.
When I click on “next page” at the bottom of the page, nothing happens. I’m seeing the same page.

Homepage pagination still not working.

Which basically states that the plugin team is aware of this issue.

Hello team,
1- I am trying to change the font size of the H3 tag from the theme panel. Specifically, I changed the “Page Content H3 tag (only on default tamplate)” and also “Post Content H3 tag” to 35 px.
On my homepage, i use block 2 to list posts, but the post title font size is not changing to 35 px. Even when i use block 6, size still doesnt change.
On the other hand, I have a draft page where i usually test settings, I used block 6 there and the font size changed.
Why are the settings not applying to the homepage?
2- How can I have sidebar title have title style 1 like with the other blocks?

I purchased the newspaper theme last night and there are many things about it that I am impressed with. Having said that, the demo content is not one of them. The demo content is horrible. When it is installed the end result is a Homepage heading in the menu and contacts. The pages don’t look anything like the demo being advertised. I understand that some images might be copyrighted but then similar sized ones should be put in their place. Often when someone buys a template, their hope is that can reuse the ideas being displayed. In other words, many would just like to change the content but keep a similar structure. In its current form one has to re-invent the wheel. The other purpose of demo content is that it allows the user to reverse engineer pages to learn how to do something new.
I was wondering if anyone had any comment on this?
This pagination issue seems to be happening ONLY on the homepage.
Archives, author pages, cateogry pages, tag pages are all working perfectly fine.
I even tested and created another Page and named it Blog. I used the same template settings I used for the homepage and it seems to be working fine also: http://www.kicksonfire.com/blog/

Only on the homepage, the footer is 10px off-center. All other sites shown correctly.
The reason is the [tagDiv] Ad Box Widget. When I delete the Ad Box the footer looks fine.
I delete the custom CSS, but nothing changed.

One more thing. I am very annoyed by the fact that on the homepage, the thumbnails of the recent posts are not in a 16:9 ratio. All my images are on a 16:9 ratio and that are cropped out on the homepage. Is there any way to make them appear with the ratio of 16:9?

For some reason today (was working before) on mobile my site is no longer responsive. The homepage is..but the posts are not. What could be wrong? I deactivated all my plugins too and still nothing. site is TripleHQ.com
I purchased the Newspaper theme last night. The key was the magazine style homepage.
Whenever I create a homepage everything seems to be working -I can add blocks and update the settings – but when I go to update the page it simply wipes all my changes from the visual composer. And I am welcomed to Blank Page – I have no content yet!
I can also not preview any of the changes.
All I have managed to get to appear on my homepage is a latest articles list.
I also haven’t been able to get the big slider to work.
My site has existing content (600 posts).
I have deleted the WPBakery plugin and reinstalled from the provided files. I have deactivated all my other plugins and even deleted some redundant ones. Still no luck.
I’m at a loss. Without a magazine style homepage the theme is lovely, but redundant to me. I’m the first to admit that I’m new to wordpress, so I really hope its something I’m doing that I just can’t see through.
Any suggestions?
