Hello,
The mobile theme comes with its own templates/design for pages, posts, categories, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/3
The mobile theme requires the “265×198” and the “741×486” thumbnail sizes in order to show the featured images properly.
This can be found here: https://www.screencast.com/t/N18dR3qZrh -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
Thank you!
Hello Thorsten!
No. The simple way is to upload the images with the same sizes.
Thank you!
Hello Thorsten!
You can set the same sizes for every element: https://prnt.sc/5YlsoH8-wlAw or upload the same image sizes directly from your Media and choose full size.
Thank you!
Hello!
Set up your thumbs from Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Block settings -> Thumbs on modules/blocks. If you deactivate a dimension from there, next time when you will upload an image, it will not be resized to that dimension.
After changing the thumbnail sizes you need to regenerate your thumbnails using a plugin. Check this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-the-theme-with-existing-content/
Thank you!
Hello!
Yes, it is possible. You can split the row in 2 columns and change the border from the CSS tab. Make sure it is not a header style of block. We have some settings for the rows and different stretch sizes: https://www.screencast.com/t/bsbB5P97A
If you need a different image in every article, then I suggest changing the featured image width.
Thank you!

Hi! On my website I’m not able to set the header background to the right size. I created several images of different sizes 1068×145, 1068×221, 1146×146, 2292×292, 2040×221 but every time I upload the image, it appears grainy and extended to the logo part but shouldn’t be because I chose the header style 3. I also tried, with every img, all the settings I have: full height, cover, contain, but the problem is always the same. Someone had the same problem?
Thank you in advance.
Hello @giorgoskey!
After every modification of the images sizes, you need to regenerate them.
We recommend Yoast Seo plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/facebook-share/
Thank you!
Hello @Youngman!
This plugin still works correctly for your images. After every modification of the images sizes, you need to regenerate them.
Thank you!

Hello, I need to know how I can prevent the theme from creating many sizes of images that take up space on my website.
How can I leave only one or two image sizes?
Thank you
I’d like to understand the issue, but also it would help to get a list of recommended sizes for Newspaper template. For example, I always use 700px width for images that illustrate my posts but I don’t know if this is the right format (these images take the whole width of a post with a 1/3 sidebar). Example here with the image of the boy on a computer: https://devenirbilingue.com/apprendre/anglais/cours-enfant/concours-gagnez-3-cours-langue/
Thank you.
Hi, I’d like to avoid blurry banners like the one here at the top of the page when you open it on mobile: https://devenirbilingue.com/apprendre/anglais/application-logiciel/avis-duolingo-test/
For this one, I used a 320x100px which is (I think) a standard large mobile banner, and I thought that the theme would not resize it to show it on mobile.
What format should I create to get a nice and clear banner, and is there somewhere a list of default sizes for images and banners using Newspaper theme?
Thank you so much, it is an issue I have since a long long time and I’d be very happy to finally understand the answer!
I made a brand new blank page to test and used both the Single Image and Ad Box modules with my 970×250 image using ‘Full Size’ as selected from the Add Media window.
Both of them look fine in the editor preview but shrink to 696 width when rendered as a preview (and on the actual page).
When I open the image itself I see this: /wp-content/uploads/2022/10/970×250-test-ad.png?resize=696%2C179&ssl=1
696 is the same width as one of the theme thumbnail sizes which is suspicious. It seems maybe the theme is always loading the 696 thumbnail instead of the Full Size 970×250. I tried regenerating thumbnails but this hasn’t fixed the issue.
This is the actual URL for the 696 thumbnail: /wp-content/uploads/2022/10/970×250-test-ad-696×250.png
So in the first URL, it seems like something is appending ?resize=696%2C179&ssl=1 to the images when the page is rendered.
What else can I do?

I want to give different number of images per row for instagram element on PC vs Mobile, but it seems like the setting is a global attribute.
Any way to give different settings to different screen sizes?
https://prnt.sc/qSjVvxiVJiS3
https://jayflyer.com
Actually my apologies, that didn’t work completely. I set the image to its native width of 970px in all viewports — it no longer dynamically resizes, however it is smaller than it should be in all viewports (696px). It looks correct in the TagDiv preview, but the image is the smaller size on the live page: https://imgur.com/a/289PxL9
Compared to your screenshots, I can see I do not have a ‘Height’ control for the image, only a ‘Width’ control. Maybe this is related?
Hello,
Please make sure that you have enabled the proper thumbs with these sizes in order to show the featured images properly, check this: https://www.screencast.com/t/N18dR3qZrh -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
After activating the thumbnail sizes you need to regenerate your thumbnails using a plugin. Check this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-the-theme-with-existing-content/
Thank you!
Hello,
We’re trying to update one of our client’s website but when we proceed to the update of the Newspaper theme (so including the tagDiv plugins), we got an ajax error on all tagDiv plugins.
The error message doesn’t give any further information about the issue.
The theme is registered correctly.
Would you be able to help us on that please ?
Here’s the website URL : https://tribumedias.be/
And the WordPress status following.
Note that we restored a recent backup because trying to update breaks the site design etc.
Thanks and have a great day.

Dear Team
After some time running Newsmag theme my site is getting a big filesize.
If I upload an image into a post Newsmag automatically crops this in different sizes, This is great for loading speed for my users on different screen sizes.
But now for one image, I upload I have 95 copies (see the screen: https://ibb.co/2FHjgB7 )
Question:
– How do I configure that I only crop images for the use /configuration of my theme
– Is there a way to safely delete in bulk the image that are not used due to my theme configuration
Krs
Hi tagDiv,
There is a number of thumbnails size already available by default with the NewsPaper theme.
I also add mine with the Theme API.
Here my actual thumbs config in the theme panel.
But when I edit blocks, megamenu … with tagDiv composer, only a few part of this thumb sizes are available in the Image Size settings : here a screenshot.
Maybe I miss something ?
My WP version is 6.0.1 and my NewsPaper version is 11.5.1.
Thanks for your help.
Hello
When I do a new wordpress post and upload the featued image. It is actually creating so many versions of it in my hosting of not needed sizes and taking large amount of space on my hosting account
As seen here https://ibb.co/jvdsLzC
Why is this happening and how to stop it. Taking up so much server space
After all, everything is described above. Just post you in your demo version in the following article html codes:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads-non-adsense-ads/
1. Just add banners for different sizes from “Sample image ad with different images for each device:”
2. Then install and run the template plugin for mobile devices.
In the screenshot below you can see that ads for all devices and sizes are displayed.
this problem is appearing in the ads that I placed manually. I think it is more to do with changing the ad sizes manually in the theme panel. https://imgur.com/P38nPXt. please take a look at the image.
What size ads, should i should. suggest me the size that is fit for desktop and mobile
Hello. I’m having a problem with background images in ROW, like this one from the Covid-19 template.
It seems that some images work ‘randomly’ and some don’t. I test with different sizes (I assumed that the ideal width was 1,920px). Also, with different compression levels.
But sometimes it works for me and sometimes it doesn’t.
In the video, I show how it does work with the first image, but with the second (which is the one I am now urgently needing) I have not been able to achieve it with a size and compression exactly the same as the first, or with other many tries.
What should I do in this case?
And what is the ideal configuration so that they always work?
Here is the screencast: https://www.screencast.com/t/h28gwohwRWVn
Thanks!
Hello.
Been using Newsmag for 8 years now and only recently the above mentioned problem has started.
Most of the time the images dont show anymore but every now and than one shows. Ive tried different sizes and shapes but it didnt make a difference. Ive also tried the debugger many times and deactivated all plugins. But that also didnt make a difference. Besides that we have verified our domain with facebook. The area just stays white or grey even if other people try to share the link on their private fb account. Currently we are using AIO SEO but have tried out also YOAST. Whats else can we do?
