Since it’s just a few of you having the issue (Works perfect on my fully updated install) then it’s very likely a plugin conflict. You can rule out the Official Facebook and Jetpack sharing plugins as I use both without any issues along side TD Social Counter. I also use Rotating Tweets within inches of the Social Counter output on every page with no issues.

Can you look at the page source now and tell me if it is using minify? I have it deactivated. I have tried again and failed to install the theme.
I don’t think it’s the server as all other themes work fine.
Mariau, as I have asked, can you tell me where the style sheet is supposed to be located in the zip file? I think that might be the problem as I can’t see it.

Guess I assumed the update was installed as before (and missed any extra details??).
Now installed and some pages where I have used Visual Composer are missing showing the image boxes. I did try deleting the images and remade those image boxes in the pages but it still leaves a blank space. Am I missing something else?
Yes I reinstalled Simple Lightbox. I also added other settings to increase speed via the htaccess and ensured compression was on at server level. I agree the lightbox I am using could be faster and I may go back and try dfactory again.
There is also issues with JavaScript which I think are related to DiggDigg social media like buttons along the side and I am looking for a replacement for this.

Probably that plugin have a conflict with other plugin or with WP 3.9. I’ve tested on my installation and for me works fine, no error

Can you give us access to your WP if you can’t give us FTP? Everything should work fine, the theme have no issue. Give us access to your WP and we will try to install the theme for you. Like i told you the issue above was from minify.

i have once again activated w3 total cache, disabled minify and cashing, and then i have emptied all caches. Then i disabled the plugin and re-installed the theme. It is still not working and the same things are happening.
I tried to redownload the theme too and the same things are happening.
I think there is something wrong with the download?

After installing the theme via ftp as above, and it not working, i deleted it from inside the wordpress dashboard and the whitescreen came up saying
Cheatin’ uh?
The theme did delete ok though
Ok i have reuploaded the Newspaper theme via FTP, and it is installed.
I have not tried to activate it again though as the same thing will happen.
A clue here; there is a problwm with the live Preview – it doesn’t work. When I press live preview, it tries to load again with the small grey circular icon for a split second then everything goes white.
IS it possible there is no style sheet maybe? ( i dont know much about this stuff)

I’m still trying to get to the bottom of it.
I updated Newspaper to 3.7 and WP to 3.9 and activated the extension and had the problem.
My next step was uninstall it and revert back to the old versions of Newspaper and WP.
It appears that the AJAX problem doesn’t return until all three are activated.
Originally it stopped any of the “Load more” elements on the blocks from working.
I’ve now managed to get some of them working but not all.
If you look on my staging site you’ll see the main slider still isn’t working. And none of the actual features of the extension itself.

Its a shame because that extension would be a really good addition to the them if i could get it working! I’m going to drop the plugin authors a line too but I can’t replicate this problem on other themes.

That not depend by the theme, make sure you have the latest plugins installed. Delete it and install it again, is located in plugin folder. td-social-counter.zip

please try to do a clean install on your computer , use xampp to have apache and mysql server : https://www.apachefriends.org/index.html
if you have the same problem then probably there is a bug in the theme
if not , the problem is from your host (assuming that you have removed all the plugins)

while reading the instructions to upgrade to version 3.7, it says that I need to activate the parent theme in order to install Visual Composer (now as separate plugin).
In my case, I installed the plugin while using the child theme, I just uploaded the plugin zip file and installed/activated it. And it works fine.
Is there a problem doing it that way? Or is it mandatory to install the way you indicate on the instructions? New future version of VC will be supplied by you?
BTW, I would suggest that any new upcoming version special instructions would be published on the main Newspaper forum as sticky post, because, it’s kinda hiddend on another forum category “Updates info” that maybe the major of the users didn’t read and found that after upgrading there where problems and “bugs”.

Hi, this morning I updated Visual Composer and installed TagDev Speed Booster and since that time our images no longer pop-up with lightbox effect. I have Simple Lightbox installed and this no longer works and I ahve tried others.
Any ideas to get this wokring again – for example http://www.viewpointsandreviews.com/george-inn-molash/ these images are now opening in new pages and not light box.

I just bought your newspaper theme. So I’m following your documentations step by step. My problem is I installed & activated the envato-wordpress-toolkit as you guys have mentioned. But I doesnt show up on left side bar in admin panel. So how can i enter my username and API key? My wordpress is upto date. I guess its 3.9 🙂

About facebook 0 counter, please make sure you have the latest plugin version. Install it again from plugin folder. Or check the +13 age permission on your Facebook settings account.

I upgraded to v3.7 and I followed your guide how to deinstaller Visual Composer (deleting the /wpbakery directory).
The strange thing is that there is no hint in the backend that I should install the Visual Composer as a plugin. Even more strange: although the VC files are deleted I can still use the old Visual Composer in the articles.
How can I fix it?
Why I wanted to upgrade is because the wordpress visual editor is not working any more.
tried adding that and it still doesn’t work every other theme installed works fine when customizing page except newspaper.
