I have a few questions, i install the demo on my site first, and set up everything. then I went and got me the license copy, but my demo tells me I have an update will that wipe out my setup I already have on the demo. And also i cant even update because i keep getting an error message.
Hi, can you give me any hints as to why I might be better off using Newspaper without the Child Theme? I understand the benefits of using it, but just wanted to be aware of any reasons I’d be better off not using it in as far as your particular theme is concerned.

After installing V 9.2.2, the main image that’s inserted in the top of each category page appears as a background on each post that’s put in that specific category. How to fix this?? Like this: https://boostatv.com/atv-uses/

@Partha P. Pal it could have been a caching issue as all images are present and working fine. We cannot see any issue from our end. We can detect the rocket loader issue however so please disable this from our cloudflare.
@jernejpro The featured video thumbnail creation still works just as before. We experienced no such issues on any of our installs. You could be facing a plugin conflict preventing the creation of featured images based on the featured videos. Please test without plugins to see if the thumb gets created.

This can happen if you altered the theme files and/or changed the theme name.
The best way to update is via ftp. Make a back-up of your install and simply delete your old theme and upload the new version. make sure to update your child theme as well because the child theme is not update proof. Test without any customization and without a child theme first.

Please make sure that you install the mobile theme plugin that from the same package were you install the theme version.
If you have the last version of theme ( 9.2.2 ) you can get the theme from the themeforest and get the them with all files.

I am trying to update the Newspaper theme from version 9.1 to to version 9.2.1. using wordpress version 5.0.3
I use the theme with child theme enabled and speed booster modifications and WP Super cache plugin.
When I try to update via Envato Market plugin I get 2 instances of the theme show up and the only option is to install the theme (not update).

When I try to update the theme via FTP (replacing ALL theme files) my website breaks down and if I go to Theme system status I still get version theme 9.1 and not 9.2.2 displayed. Neither the plugins display a button to update.

Maybe check in the WordPress comments section, to see who is the author of those comments. Or investigate the plugins you have installed, maybe one of them is automatically posting comments for some reason. If none of your users is posting comments, then something else is, could be a plugin.

The td_011 does indeed belong to the theme, it is where all the theme panel settings, custom code from theme panel and other theme settings are kept. If these would be removed the mentioned data will be lost.
However having a size like you mention is quite large. In my local install I exported the td_011 table, it is nowhere near such a huge size – http://prntscr.com/m7stcw

Then it would be somewhat simple, the change you are making to the page template is causing the problem. So when that page template is selected the composer provides the respective error, in no relation to plugins installed.
Maybe there is a different method of doing what you want without this modification to the page template. Please provide some details about it.

Using now genesis, trying to change to newspaper but increases the load average to values in top higher than 100
With genesis under 3.
I have disable search and ajax search but still having the same problem.
Looking at newrelic we do have values web transactions average under 150 ms. After installing newspaper values go higher, 300 ms.
150K pageviews/day.
The higher values comes from wp_ajax_nopriv_td_ajax_block but we have let a very simple homepage.

Newspaper Template is missing. Standalone themes need to have a index.php template file. Child themes need to have a Template header in the style.css stylesheet.
I have used TD Composer before on other sites with no problem. I recently installed the Art Creek demo and tried to use TD Composer to edit the home page. After clicking “Edit with TD Composer” it just loads the posts page on the dashboard. I have tried to reinstall the theme several times as well as TD Composer and it continues to happen.

my hosting provider does not allowed to use more than 256MB of Ram that is usually enough. I don’t have installed anything other than your template and your plugins, I use your recommanded plugin for Cache(wp super cache). Your requirements documentations says that 256Mb is enought, if that is not I ask you to update your documentations and refund me.

@saint71 In the case from above the issue was fixed by reinstalling WordPress and the theme. The above user mentioned that he reinstalled WordPress, then reinstalling the theme fixed the problem in that case. You could try the same if possible. Let us know what happens.
