Hi,
Please make sure this option is activated here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/a1VMwsgKrM44
The avatars should be displayed properly if it is. Try to clear any installed cache as well.
Thanks

Hi,
Please make sure the social counter is configured properly
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/
After setting it up, clear any caching installed. Also make sure the Facebook profile page is public, and does not have any restrictions.
Thanks
Hi,
In Newspaper 8 the tagDiv composer was introduced
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
This plugin is activated automatically when the theme is installed or updated to this version. In some cases having both Visual composer and tagDiv composer active, can create layout issues. Please try to deactivate this composer after making the update
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Also if you have a child theme try switching to the main theme, as the code used in the child theme might need adjustments.
Thanks
Hi,
1. The theme only has to be activated once, another activation is not requested
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-6-how-to-activate-the-theme/
If the theme activation is resetting then something is not functioning properly. It could be a simple plugin conflict, it could be your server configuration, it could be your WordPress install etc.
2. Please check the permalink settings in the wordpress settings
– https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks
– http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/seo-friendly-url-structure-for-wordpress/
Try changing to a default permalink structure and save the settings. Then check if this has any effect.
3. The custom CSS code will be loaded after the theme CSS. You can add code directly in the theme stylesheet, or through a child theme as well.
Thanks
Hi,
If that is a weather plugin that you are using, please make sure you followed the plugins installation instructions carefully. If it does not work properly, it could be the case that the plugin is not compatible with the theme.
You could maybe search for similar problems, maybe there are known issues with the plugin, or there might be a solution on the plugin support forum.
Just as well you could try a different weather plugin.
Thanks
Hi,
The changes should be visible once you make them. Maybe you have caching, try clearing any installed cache after making the changes.
Thanks
Hi @Lordemma,
Okay – Solution found (for me anyway). This was the specific issue in my case, though it may not be specific to your issues. I also had some other peripheral issues that were specific to the use of SSL on my site, which were mitigated by ensuring that I had “https” set in the Settings->General->Wordpress URL settings in the WP Dashboard (you might like to look into this if you have other issues with the TAGDiv composer showing blank pages).
In all cases – with respect to the saving loop – my issues were all related to the “.user.ini” file.
The problem with the Saving Loop was actually with WordFence (in my case), which is not installed as a plugin in this particular case, but in another installation on the same host, which was installed in the default “public_html” directory. This installation of WP is in a subdirectory, but the “.user.ini” file which is created in the default “public_html” directory overrides things.
In all cases, WordFence adds the following to the “.user.ini” file:
; Wordfence WAF
auto_prepend_file = ‘/public_html/wordfence-waf.php’
; END Wordfence WAF
Removing this, solved the issue.
Of course, it will create other issues for the site that uses WordFence, but I will have to resolve that another way.
For now, and in case anyone else may have run into similar issues – this is the solution that worked for me.
I suppose it makes an argument for putting all WP installations into their own subdirectories. For whatever reason, the original installation of the main domain in this case, was installed in the PUBLIC_HTML directory by default, and this was the source of the issue.
Hope this might help anyone with a similar issue.
*update*
If you are using WordFence – you can check to ensure your ‘Whitelist’ IP addresses and so forth to ensure your WordFence installation is not blocking your access.
@lordemma – I spent a very long time trying multiple solutions to this problem, so if you haven’t solved it yet, let me know, as perhaps some of things I experienced and have gone through can be of assistance to you in solving your issue.
Hello dkpolaco,
Please check your system status parameters to be according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/ Most likely, your PHP memory has exhausted and that’s why you cannot save anything. Clear all the caches and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
It does not show up on top when I select Featured in post settings.
I use Block 2 (if it makes any difference).
I even installed a plugin for that, didn’t help.
Hi,
First please check the theme system status and make modifications to these WordPress and server parameters
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You could ask your hosting provider to make the changes for you if needed.
Then check if everything works properly. If there is still a problem, please deactivate all plugins except theme provided plugins, clear any installed cache and check again.
Please let us know the results.
Thanks
So I have a sub domain I use to test. I reset the theme settings, deactivated all the plugins, uninstalled the theme, re installed the theme and its still having issues.
Hi!
I just installed the new Thrive Architect plugin to design my pages. I don’t like the page builder, and I was trying to get something better than Visual Composer. But, the thing is that without these two provided layout tools, I cannot get rid of the page Title when selecting the Default page layout in the edit mode of a page.
Is there a way to have blank pages with Newspaper? I mean, you can get rid of the breadcrumbs, but the title still remains… Is creating a child theme to modify the page template the only option?
Thanks!
How do you upload a photo for the author? Strange interface…
I have installed the plugin Wp User Avatar.
Try uploading the avatar directly in admin panel WordPress.
For example:

Thank you for clearing my doubts. One last thing:
How to deal with styles.css and functions.php that are under ‘mobile’ folder and created specifically when the website is viewed on mobile devices. Should I simply copy functions.php and style.css after creating a new directory ‘mobile’ under child theme?
Above I am talking about the mobile related folder of main theme, not about td mobile theme which we need to install as a plugin.
Thanks.
I just purchased the News Paper 7 Theme recently after having difficulty and errors with another premium theme. The other the that I was previously working with had the pre install plugin TML https://wordpress.org/plugins/theme-my-login/.
I am a developer myself but hired a developer to code custom PHP scripts because my WordPress and PHP skills is limited.
After doing some testing the Registration button is no longer visible on the top of the menu, and this is a critical for my website to go live.
The developer recommended the News Paper 7 theme because he was having difficulty fixing the errors of my previous theme
Also, the developer placed what appears to be the menu on a page which I can’t edit and I am assuming the plugin could not edit it either.
Also, I have BuddyPress installed for a user community, and I have a “Start Conversation” button on the top of the page in a menu and the logic behind is if a user is not a registered member the “Start Conversation” is not visible, it’s only visible if the user is logged on and a registered member.
Also I had a “If Menu” plugin that I could manipulate logic that doesn’t work with the News Paper 7 theme.
Do have any suggestions how I can get the registration button to appear at the top of the form, and put the logic in place to make the “Start Conversation” button not visible until the user logs in?
Hello Simion,
First of all thank you so much for the prompt reply. I don’t know but it’s very weird. The issue lasted for may be around 2 days, after that automatically I was able to install the demos. Even I checked today and everything seems normal and no more I am getting error messages while trying to install demos.
When installing and activating the Newsmag-child, some of the blocks/modules get messed up. The whole sidebar is empty and the widgets in footer 1, footer 2 and footer 3 are now all vertically of each other in footer 1. I’ve checked the contents of the custom functions.php, but can’t find the source in there. I have the feeling that a certain hook to the Newsmag API is missing for said modules.
In case it’s relevant, the sidebar contains 4x block 15. The footer uses Newsmag style 2, with Footer 2 being a Block 7 and Footer 3 being a custom menu.
Thanks in advance for the help!

Good Morning,
I know this issue has been covered in some detail here, and of course, I have read nearly all the comments and suggested resolutions highlighted by the TagDiv team. Unfortunately, none of these have resolved the issue.
To summarize – All the resources, including max files, ram and other items within the Status panel have been set, and are showing correctly (all boxes are “green”). I have spoken with my host, and they confirm that their systems are not blocking ajax-admin, and I have even gone so far as to install the Heartbeat plugin to reduce the resource calls made. I have also attempted to disable any additional plugins (of which there are few, as this is a fresh WP install with the theme).
Unfortunately, the problem persists. As I mentioned above, I have also disabled all the plugins except for the core plugins provided with the theme – the issue continues.
Is there any place I can possibly provide the TagDiv support team with some login details to try and have a look for themselves? I feel silly asking for help, as normally I have been quite adept at solving the majority of problems on my own, but in this instance I am sincerely stuck.
Any suggested actions to solve this?
I am simply trying to save the background color of the sign in/join modal in the Theme Panel, but to be fair, the issue presents itself no matter what I try to save.
Thanks in Advance
Hello,
Each demo has it’s own custom style. if you uninstall the demo, you no longer have it and will need to create it from scratch if you want to replicate a demo style. You will need css skills in order to replicate the black demo layout. The css can be found here for you to inspect: https://www.screencast.com/t/xq7Ks25W4E
The black demo is among the more heavily customized demos we have and replicating it will not be easy as there are lots of css rules involved as you can see in the css file
Thank you!
Hi,
Please use this guide to properly install the theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-wordpress/
Thank you!
Hi,
1.A. If you are referring to the mega-menu, this can be created and used regardless of demo installed. Please follow this guide to create a mega-menu
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/mega-menu/
1.B. The thumbnail used in the menu module cannot be changed. That is how the menu and styling are designed. It would require modifications in the theme files, and most likely custom styling to change the thumbnail of the module.
1.C. The latest articles section is displayed at the bottom of the page, when the required page template is selected. It can be disabled or customized in terms of content it displays. Please check here for more information about the page templates
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/
2. The theme general width cannot be changed. It has a fixed predefined width, it is not recommended to change it. Full width results can be achieved on pages, by stretching the rows
– https://www.screencast.com/t/8pWK7vk2SQN
There are also full width grids that you can use
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-1/
More information about the tagDiv composer here

Thanks
Hi,
I have set the Nepali language in the WordPress general settings, and the date displays like this
