I suppose that you have some additional customizations and the logo was increased with a bit of CSS, right? So, with the new update, the logo has been changed because it was introduced the H1 tag the class was changed to another one and that’s why your old CSS is not applied in the latest update, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/103uqsss43 You will have to adjust your custom CSS in order to achieve as you wish.

Please keep in mind that every demo has been custom designed and each element has an own design. So, if you want to change the color for the ‘Say What’ logo, please notice that this is just a photo and you cannot change it from the panel, but only if you will edit this logo and change from there the color with yours desired.
In order to achieve some changes, please ensure that you have changed the correct values from your elements. I have done some tests on my side and everything seems to work as properly, as you can see here ->

If you refer to something else, please provide more details about what type of settings are not applied so I can inspect it closer and also, so I will be able to provide a more accurate response. You can provide some useful screenshots for a better understanding.

Since I start testing my website on different device, I have now an other issue about the header logo :
I still use header style 10, my basic logo size is 600x165px and I’ve added a retina logo with a 1200x329px size.
On desktop, the basic logo image is displayed at 600×165 and it’s fine.
On retina screen, the image used is the retina one (with 1200x329px) but it seems to be displayed with full width.
When I delete the retina logo image on the theme panel, the image displayed on retina screen is the basic one with the 600x165px size and it’s (of course) not looking good.
I do not understand why, when I upload a retina logo in the theme panel (1200x329px), it is not displayed with the original size of 600x165px but with full width template ?

We routinely manually insert ‘related links’ into our stories, either at the end of the story or midway.
Right now, the behavior when we insert one of our own links into a story, the oEmbed function builds a large box topped by the hedline, a thumbnail of the featured image, the post’s ‘excerpt,’ a wordpress logo and our site name.
What I would like to do is make changes to how the oEmbed is handled, so that it renders differently on the page. (We want it to insert a much smaller yet nicely formatted item that we can drop say, 3 links in a row in the middle of a story)
In short, how can one make changes to how oEmbeds are displayed?
This is a WordPress thing and not a theme thing? Any pointers helpful, I have spent a considerable amount of time researching the issue and will be happy to share my solution as it may be useful for other media professionals.

Yes, I want a different logo depending on site’s language. I understand the
logo from theme panel will be displayed but with most themes the holder
variable can be changed using key names; where it is reassigned a different
value on page load instead.
From what I can see the holder is either $td_customLogo or tds_logo_upload.
But I don’t know what is the options key for newspaper.
I have found tds_logo_menu_upload, but am looking for something with the
theme name, like newspaper-panel-settings or something.
The class names are of no value since I cannot change the content of the
logo holder.

After I upgraded to v7 the logo size seems to scales to a very small size. I would like the logo to display to the full dimensions of the logo, as I have sized it specifically to align with the background image strip at the top.

Do you want to load a different logo depending by site’s language? If so that can’t be don using the current theme’s implementation because the logo from theme panel will be displayed on the site even if chose a different language. The container which keeps the logo is td-header-sp-logo and logo’s css class is: td-main-logo http://screencast.com/t/V81IcWoRuZ

I’m trying to add a custom ad zone for content ads like Taboola above the post title but below the header. So, on the following page it would be above the title of “Kid After. . .” and below the header with the logo. It would span the whole width of the page.

Is there any way to do that through the theme options to make it easy on me, or do I need to go into the code? If I need to go into the code, how exactly do I do that? I already have a child theme enabled and moved the single post template into it if needed, but wanted to see if there was a way to do it through the theme.
The homepage allows a lot of flexibility through the visual composer, but I can’t find a way to do it across all posts to the overall post template.

Please try to clear all caches as the option works and I was able to add your site to the homepscreen but the icon was not this one: http://1christianvoice.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/1CVM-Logo-152px.png
I got a grey icon with a number 1. It could be your old icon feeded from cache or a plugin conflict but since you did not clear the cache, the disabling of the plugins did not show the imediate result.
Please try to clear all caches whether it’s a plugin , a cdn server or hosting.
I tested the bookmarklet on my end but could not find any errors. It picked up the correct icon on every device.

Hi,
the logo pops out like that because of the css size re-write you made in the thme panel. Unfortunately this is how css works. It will load every rule one at a time. It cannot re-write without applying the previous rule first. In order to bypass this, please try to add the code I provided directly in style.css at the bottom of the file like so: http://screencast.com/t/eCCbYKPyF7Io
That will stop the logo from changing sizes.

Hmmm…actually, I´m not sure if that´s really the source of the flickering here. I just disabled speedbooster for testing, but the experience remains the same.
The only other plugin I would expect to have an influence on that behavior is WP Super Cache, but as this one is listed as fully supported by your theme…
Would you mind to have a look on the page yourself? Feel free to click the navigation and keep an eye on the logo, the header color and the font weight.

I’ve checked your site and noticed that you have some custom css which change logo’s layout a bit. Try this css in theme panel > custom code > custom css to correct the missalgnement on afix:

thanks for your reply, very much appreciated! But yet some more questions came up ;):
1.) When entering the css above, the logo “flickers” from its original size to the one defined in the css (e.g. from 400px to 300px)
2.) after playing with the font styles in the theme panel, the very same happens to the fonts. For example, let‘s say I‘ve changed the menu fonts from default open sans to bold – and everytime I switch the page or reload the page, I can see the font switching from standard to bold
This looks like the css injection happens on site of the client and too low – is there any way to prevent this stuff from flickering? This really bothers me…
