Hi,
So you have menu items in the top menu on desktop from what I understand, the top menu will not appear on mobile. Only the main header menu will be displayed.
If this is still not helpful, please provide some useful screenshots and more details about what exactly you want to do, for a better understanding.
Thanks
Hi, why my blog problem with menu and search, menu not working and search not appear. see… https://www.screencast.com/t/KW7deIee0 ( i use tagDiv Mobile Theme )
It’s bad I would say. Each link internal or external dilutes the power of links on the page. Even menu and footer links count.
So double the number of menu bar links, decreases the power of the other links on the page.
So loading in 60 nav bar links rather than 30 will have a serious impact from an SEO perspective.
You could just use PHP (server side) to detect the operating system being used and then not bother to load in the mobile menu. Same the other way round.
This is how other themes do it like Rehub for example.
This has come to light as I am using your theme in a niche and it’s proving difficult to rank because of how diluted the silo structure is.
My only conclusion compared to other sites I have built, is how the dev team on this theme have coded the nav bar.
Your theme is fast and great to work with, but the menu bar needs a rethink and to be honest, your theme would be even faster not loading in unnecessary code.
It’s serious enough for me to consider using another theme as I am fastly coming to the conclusion after 18 months, a change of theme would result in better organic results for us.
Sorry Simion, I didn’t find the right words.
Example: I use some helpful links in the “top-menu” like ‘classified’ or ‘video’ etc.
These links I need also in the mobile-style, but at the moment I only see categories there.
regards
Mic
Hi,
I don’t quite understand what you want to do. By default (mobile theme plugin inactive) on mobile the same header menu will be displayed. If the mobile theme plugin is active you can choose a different header menu than on desktop
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
The top menu is not displayed at all times on mobile. It could be made to appear with a custom code, but only when the mobile theme is not used.
Please correct me if I misunderstood what you are asking.
THanks
Hello,
I have two small problems which I haven’t been able to solve.
1. The mobile menu and search background image will not change from the default image, even though I have put a new image in the theme panel setting.
2. The sliders on most of my main pages (politics, science, tech, history) are too large on mobile, and the changes I try to make in Slider Revolution are not being applied. What I would like is how it is on my Culture page, but I’m not sure why that is correct and the others are not.
I’m also not sure if both of these problems are due to some caching mistake or not.

This is one for your developers to look in to
I am just looking at the way the menus are coded.
It seems that in the source code you load both the desktop and mobile version of the menu. Then using client side javascript render the right version.
My concern it that
1. It’s more code loaded onto the page than is needed.
2. Does Googlebot see both sets of menus?
My concern is that the internal link juice is watered down because twice as many links are loaded onto the page than needs be.
Hi there,
I need ‘header-menu’ & ‘top-menu’ as selection in my mobile-style. Can someone give me an advice?
Thanks, Michael
A black coloured strip appears above hamburger menu in the mobile theme.
How to remove it?
Hello,
Sorry but I’m not sure how you want to change the look of the menu. You can change the background and colors for the mobile menu from the theme panel
Thanks.
Hi, without using the tagdiv mobile, where can I edit the mobile menu look?
Hi,
Firstly I don’t have the tagDiv mobile theme plugin installed and it was working fine beforehand. Before today the content was showing fine when viewing on mobile, it would change to the mobile menu at the top of the screen and show the main content in on big column and then the sidebar at the end of the content. Now when viewing on mobile it looks exactly the same as if you were on desktop. What has caused this?
Thanks,
Chris

Hi Catalin,
Thanks for your response. I have taken off a lot of youtube videos on the home page now. Is there any limit on videos on Youtube widget that we have to keep.
ON the other Note:
I have tried on two mobile phones. Either of the menus main menu and footer menus is working. Let say if I click on “World” menu item the page is blank it is not getting any page content on mobile. Not only that if you see my site desktop version there are videos and other lots of stuff. But I am not seeing anything on mobile.
Regards
Prismss
Hello prismss,
I have inspected your website on mobile and the Menu items seem to work as expected, without any problems. More than that, I have inspected your source page and I saw that you have a lot of warnings and errors which can break this functionality at a certain time, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/BWW0Uplyp Also, I have seen that you are using an old theme version and that’s why might appears some unknown issues as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/4itC7r7O Update your theme via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
I tried deactivating all the plugins and tried but still, the menu is not working on Mobile. Please help. My site is already live.
Hi,
A mega-menu item present on desktop will be displayed like this on mobile
– https://www.screencast.com/t/XhMrxTxjDp
– https://www.screencast.com/t/7qftMx682QeI
Mega-menus will not be displayed on mobile, instead they are converted to simple drop-down style, not removed. The only option to have a different menu entirely on mobile, would be the mobile plugin. This will add the option to set a different menu
– https://www.screencast.com/t/eewYzrdkK
If you are still missing the option to create a mega-menu here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/5yhzwRVS
And you tried deactivating all plugins except theme plugins, checked custom code or functions added in the theme files, custom code sections or through a child theme, then please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information. We will take a look. Also paste a link to this topic in the email.
Thanks
Hi,
That could be done in two ways, either make modifications in the code and replace the icon with the text you want
– https://www.screencast.com/t/2cAAwME6
Or maybe use some CSS to replace the icon with a text, like in this example
– https://www.screencast.com/t/e7JbQeXg
.td-icon-mobile:before {
content:'Menu';
}
In either cases further design would be needed to style the text since text is not supposed to be displayed in that location.
Thanks
Hi,
Try a code like this, see if it works for you
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Jc8FUkB4gZn
It will place the menu link on the right as you want
.header-search-wrap {
right: 54px;
}
#td-top-mobile-toggle {
position: absolute;
right: 0;
}
Enter it in Theme panel->Advanced CSS in the phones section.
Thanks
Currently I just added a page called Featured with all the recent posts. Having no mega menu show up correctly on mobile is a bad thing. I would be great if we could not show the mega menu on mobile and just have regular drop down items. I believe it works on other themes on mobile as a drop down menu of pages.
Can we disable a menu item on mobile? The mega menu.
Thanks
Thanks for the response.
One solution would be to change the main header background to white on mobile, and hide the mobile menu, and create buttons or boxes to assist with navigation to other pages. I like the block with the ability to scroll posts on mobile like a slideshow. I really do not like the mobile plugin, and seems more work than it is worth. I would like to here success stories with it.
Still not seeing the message “add to the mega menu” like in this link: https://forum.tagdiv.com/mega-menu/
The team member link and adding links in the description with the html code is helpful! They should add the ability to upload your own custom icon with links in the future.
Thanks!
Hi,
1. On mobile, mega-menus will not be displayed. The mobile menu is limited to drop-down style. Some of the menu items in the header menu do not link anywhere on desktop and on mobile. If these are categories please re-add them in the menu as categories
– https://www.screencast.com/t/VbJqb7X7
If they are custom links add a link to them
– https://www.screencast.com/t/wGu51kcH2LBY
So they would lead somewhere on the website. Regardless of mobile plugin used or not, the mobile menu will still look the same in design. A difference would be that if the mobile plugin is used, a different menu can be set for mobile
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Page content built with composers will not be displayed on mobile if the mobile plugin is used. Mobile pages are restricted to the mobile editor.
The mobile theme is intended to present a lighter version of the website, optimized for mobile devices. There will be predefined front page templates, category page, post page etc.
2. You could add the link in the description field of the team member element
– https://www.screencast.com/t/zLGIA9ZW9ecE
There are no dedicated options to add links in this element, or the other information you mention, except the description field.
The composer will receive more options and feature over future updates however.
If that option does not appear for you, in almost all similar cases plugins were to blame. There could be a plugin installed that is responsible. Only way to check is by deactivating all plugins except theme plugins. Then see if the option appears.
Thanks
Hi again, is there a possibility of the mobile menu icon, the 3 lines, add the word menu?
