Hello,
I’m trying to run responsive, no mobile theme, no amp. I’m facing an peculiar issue where the theme displays fine on the home page but doesn’t display properly on any posts or pages.
1. When mobile theme plugin disabled, posts show h1 text in place of graphic logo, and footer doesn’t display or displays oddly because I’m seeing @newspaper wordpress theme by tagdiv on the footer.
If I try to edit this footer it tells me you cannot edit this type of footer.
I’ve cleared cache a bazillion times, What could this be?
Hello team,
I hope you are doing well.
I am using the Newspaper theme for my news website, and I really need some assistance. I am not very technical, so I’m worried about breaking something on my site.
Recently, I found a theme/template inside tagDiv Cloud that I really liked and want to apply. But before I do that, I am scared that I might:
Lose my existing posts, pages, categories, or design settings
Misplace my logo
Mess up the homepage layout
Break the mobile/desktop structure
Or accidentally overwrite something important
I genuinely do not have much experience with WordPress or theme editing, so I kindly request help from someone in the team or any senior member who can guide me step-by-step.
What exactly I need help with:
Safely applying the new theme/template without losing any existing data.
Keeping all my categories intact and mapped correctly.
Adding my logo in the correct place matching the new design.
Making sure my homepage looks clean and matches the template I am selecting.
Any recommended settings to avoid layout issues.
If needed, I can share screenshots or temporary access (after instructions) so the process is done safely.
I will be extremely grateful if someone from the tagDiv team or an experienced community member can help me, as I’ve been struggling with this for a long time and really want to improve my website and please help me as I honestly have no technical knowledge
Thank you so much in advance!
Hi,
In case you are not using the mobile theme plugin, then there are two other 2 situations.
Unfortunately, i can not see the image because the Cloudflare is down – https://i.imgur.com/DnPm99f.png
– in case you are using a mobile page /template https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
– in case you are using the option to disable the desktop zone on mobile and the mobile zone on desktop – https://i.imgur.com/TT2slI3.png https://i.imgur.com/jWPKhXS.png
In the above scenarios, there is a need to use a cache that can create and provide a cache per device (mobile and desktop cache), most of the cache plugins have this option.
Thank you!
Hi,
We are using the Newspaper theme on elubaczow.com.
The theme seems to generate different HTML for mobile and desktop.
This causes issues with full-page caching (sometimes the cached mobile HTML is served to desktop users and vice versa).
I think so and I received this information from the hosting provider.
Is there an option in the theme or in the tagDiv Composer / Mobile Theme plugin to disable device-specific HTML output and use a single unified HTML structure (with only CSS-based responsiveness)?
If not, what is the recommended way to configure caching (plugin and server-level) for Newspaper to avoid this issue?
The problem only occurs for users who are not logged in.
I have the “tagDiv Mobile Theme” plugin disabled.
Is the problem something else?
Incorrect loading: https://prnt.sc/Ao3ObgNt1cia
It displays a completely different header – unused, and the rest of the page falls apart.

Hi,
I checked your website, and it appears you have the tagDiv Mobile theme plugin. Also, the cache used does not have the option for a separate mobile cache version, so the mobile version is displaying on desktop.
Please go to plugins and disable the tagDiv Mobile theme plugin, after that clear all cache and the responsive version will be used.
Thank you!
Hi,
For this you need to edit the page/template using tagDiv Composer and select the row, and mobile viewport, then in the layout tab select the reverse column and layout one under other – https://i.imgur.com/Nm9Dj4u.png
https://tagdiv.com/flexibility-rows-columns-newspaper-theme/
Thank you!
Hi,
Please go to your plugins section and disable the tagDiv Mobile theme plugin, and the theme will use the responsive version and the problem will be resolved. Also, clear the cache.
Thank you!
Hi,
What you can do is to edit the single post template with tagDiv Composerhttps://i.imgur.com/ZwyHap9.png , select the mobile viewport and select the row, then in the Layout tab set those settings – https://i.imgur.com/qYh4p1J.png (select the layout with elements one under the other and check the reverse column order). https://tagdiv.com/flexibility-rows-columns-newspaper-theme/
I hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hi,
If the tagDiuv Mobile theme plugin is enabled, then this will override the responsive version of the theme (the one edited with tagDiv Composer); therefore, if you want the responsive version, you should disable the tagDiv Mobile theme plugin. Also, the mobile theme cna be configured using only the theme panel settings:
– The Newspaper Mobile Theme: Introduction
– The Mobile Theme
Thank you!
Hi, using the Town Talk theme, the table of contents on a blog post when viewing the post on a mobile device is right at the bottom of the page which makes no sense. Is there a way for this to be at the top below maybe the social share buttons or post page image?

Hello,
Since updating the Newspaper theme my Homepage for mobile now redirects to a completely different page. This shows within the “pages” section and I can’t for the life of me figure out how to assign it back to the static homepage. It works on desktop, but for mobile instead of going to Home it goes to Gear Reviews. Website is http://www.ultralightnerd.com.
Screenshot: https://imgur.com/r5o7hBz
Anyone know how to reassign my Homepage to its own Mobile homepage instead of a different page altogether? Feel like I’ve tried most everything at this point point. Thanks!
I have yet to receive help on this topic. Sent everything over.
I also need help showing an image logo on mobile — I cannot seem to get rid of the “Gourmet Pro” text on mobile. There is no intuitive way of doing it within the theme panel options.
Hi,
I have one question: Do you use the tagDiv Mobile theme plugins?
Can you use a tool to create screenshots? Like lightshot or greenshot?
Thank you!
Hey, I hope all is well. I am in the process of building a website using one of the pre-built templates. What I am doing is modifying what is there to fit my style. I am currently using the “Chained News” theme for the site. The issue is when I shrink down the window to activate the mobile view of the template. When I shrink down the window to, say, 767 px wide, the name of the template will be displayed and not the name of the site. I have looked in the theme panel under “Mobile Header” and typed in the name of the site. I have also added an image that has the name of the site to it.
Also, under the mobile theme, in the “Newspaper – Theme panel,” i have done the same thing there. Adding images/name of the site but it still comes out the same…meaning the site goes from name of the site to “Chained News”.
The question I have is where in the wide, wide world of sports is this located? I have even looked, when I edited the header, to see if there is any reference to “chained news” and could not find anything.
Any suggestions/help would be great. Thank you.
Hi,
thank you for your reply.
I already have the phrase translated in Theme Panel → Translations → Translations https://imgur.com/a/H8pu6VY, and it works correctly on the desktop version.
However, in the mobile version, the title still appears in English (“Latest articles”). https://imgur.com/a/AUoZwRl
It seems that the Mobile Theme doesn’t apply this translation. Could you please check if the mobile version.
Hi,
I’ve activated the tagDiv Mobile Theme plugin (td-mobile-plugin) and everything works fine, but some texts on the mobile version are still in English.
For example, the section title “Latest posts” appears in English, even though I’ve already translated it in Theme Panel → Translations and all translations work correctly on the desktop version.
It seems the Mobile Theme doesn’t apply the same translations as the main theme.
Could you please let me know:
Where I can translate the “Latest posts” text for the mobile theme?
Does the Mobile Theme require a separate translation setup or file?
Thanks a lot for your help!
After clearing all the cache again and re-enabling the lazy load option in the theme panel, I used the network tool in Chrome DevTools to confirm that the images are correctly deferred until they are in the viewport. I was wrong, it works perfectly. I still haven’t optimized the LCP for other pages, but for now, single posts are hitting a performance score of 98 on mobile and 100 on desktop. I’m very happy with my purchase and thank you for your help.
Hi, posts that contain an embedded YouTube video are slow to load on the news, both on desktop and mobile. What could be the cause(Theme updated to the latest version, WordPress version 6.4.2)?. Thanks, regards.
hello, @Calin So about the previous issues, I can’t get shortcodes to work at all, because in TagDiv Composer! It doesn’t show up on the page, it only appears in posts. I spoke with the owner of the search plugin, and he said he tried to contact you guys from the theme to get support for his plugin and didn’t get a response. The guy from the search theme said this about your theme, https://imgur.com/a/HcEGq1O
I had to create a search field, I couldn’t add it to the header, but I managed to add it to the home page. I’m having some problems.
The block images, I can’t reduce the image size no matter what I do, I have to set up CSS for all of them, it’s a lot of work, and when I delete some tdi_ element it changes the number and messes everything up. Well, tdi_98, I can’t get the image to be 90px by 90px. I used this CSS when it was tdi_97 and it was working perfectly. Then I had to delete some elements, it changed to tdi_98 and it stopped working. I adapted everything correctly, only the images aren’t staying 90px by 90px, they’re huge. Look there, the CSS is correct. https://ibb.co/TMNTDZvB desktop mode only, because for mobile I had created a separate page. https://glostv.com/tv-ufg
Could you provide CSS to fix the large image issue? To make it 90px by 90px.
About this related thing, https://ibb.co/qLBYQZPX, I can’t set it to a primary category, like there’s this option, https://ibb.co/1GJkWGGs, to make it primary up there, https://ibb.co/VpJb4rCj. Is this possible via CSS?
About this, is there also a way to hide the title without needing CSS?
Is there somewhere in the theme that disables the date that keeps showing up?
Google searches, https://ibb.co/hFZNCXJf I already deleted everything in WordPress, did everything, hid it in WordPress, https://ibb.co/wFRmCNrh
Is there any way to make the site faster with this theme? You guys in the theme recommended Super Cache, which is horrible depending on the configuration, it modifies the CSS and everything. I measured my site on https://pagespeed.web.dev/ and it’s terrible, seems like the theme is too heavy. Is there a way to improve this? Because when I update something it takes too long to update the page; I’m not logged in.
Lastly, how do you translate https://ibb.co/LXG4WdqF I tried to find it and couldn’t. If you can help me with these problems.
Ask the theme owner to add in the next update the ability to reduce the image size of the tdi_ modules so we don’t need to keep using CSS code. Ask them to add shortcode support in TagDiv Composer! on pages, because it only appears in posts.
Hi,
To resolve the footer situation you need to edit the footer with tagDiv Composer – https://i.imgur.com/tZqYt1s.png select an element then set the mobile viewport – https://i.imgur.com/LNWfo2f.png all elements that are displayed on desktop in footer will be displayed on mobile in the footer, so in case the menu is not displaying all menu elements, most probably some of them have been hidden. Also, use the theme options on viewports as mobile, each option that has a left border can be set per viewport port as example – https://i.imgur.com/JqZtTzo.png
The theme has it own search elements that can be used https://i.imgur.com/3IxcBVZ.png but if you want to use a separate one that can be set using a shortcode, then set the shortcode directly in column text or text with title elements in the text zone – https://imgur.com/DSSni9j
If you need to set the elemnts from a page in order, then is no need of that csee, just use the order from columns with tagDiv Composer – https://tagdiv.com/flexibility-rows-columns-newspaper-theme/
To remove space between elements, selct the elements and adjust the padding and margings – https://i.imgur.com/WfDr8c8.png
Thank you!
@Calin Sorry, I put Portuguese, correcting it, it’s English. I’m having 6 problems with https://glostv.com/. Can you help me solve them? I need to resolve this; I intend to buy another theme from you at the end of the month, but I need to fix this. First, the footer on mobile devices doesn’t show “About us, contact”. Quick links and useful links are not in the middle, but at the bottom. Below GosTV, the slogan, and “Watch TV channels” don’t appear on the same line. See link https://ibb.co/Cs5sZzFr
Second, the homepage and no static page (page, not post) allows/offers the option to add a shortcode for a search field. This option doesn’t exist for pages in TagDiv Composer! I bought a search plugin and I can’t use it. I search and nothing appears. See here: https://ibb.co/YT33pMyJ. However, in blog posts, the shortcode field appears normally. There’s a defect. In the normal post it appears, look here, https://ibb.co/QvwxFmwj. The “defect is only on the pages, the TagDiv Composer! doesn’t show the block/option to add the shortcode.” It’s not possible to edit the normal editor, as it has to be the TagDiv Composer editor!
Third, as I mentioned, I can’t put any shortcode on pages/posts (reaffirming item 2), but I can’t change this horrible search field in the header. I’ve already broken the site several times trying to solve this here https://ibb.co/M5M35FyV. I tried in TagDiv Composer! and via code, I can’t. I have the Ajax Search Pro plugin, which uses shortcode to add a search button and it doesn’t work. Here, https://ibb.co/M5M35FyV, I would need to use this, https://ibb.co/KjsV4FD2.
Fourth. On mobile devices, I really need these blocks to appear in the following sequence on this page and all pages created with TagDiv Composer!: Related Channels and Featured Channels. I created a CSS and it didn’t work:
CSS
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.tdi_99 {
order: 1 !important;
}
.tdi_82 {
order: 2 !important;
}
This is only for mobile devices, but I don’t want to have to create a separate mobile page for them. It would have to look like this: https://ibb.co/TDymN4NR, one below the other, and the rest would continue. I didn’t want to create a mobile page for all of them. Link: https://glostv.com/tv-sete-lagoas
Fifth, I really need to reduce the height and width of the contact form. It’s too large. Is this possible with custom CSS? If possible, please help. https://glostv.com/contato
Sixth, Please send me custom CSS for mobile devices to remove the spacing from this here https://ibb.co/99z0MQZ6 on this page: https://glostv.com/estados.
Hi, i’m seeing random ADS as i visit my site from mobile.
I cannot find it anywhere, if i edit via tagdiv in that specific spot does not show any ADS module.
In the ads manager from theme panel i’ve every position of ads empty.
How to fix it?
TY
Hi,
Usually, this kind of situation appears when you are using the tagDiv Mobile home plugin, to have the exact same version from desktop on mobile, please make sure that the mentioned plugin is disabled – https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/
Thank you!
Hi,
The mentioned path was only if the mobile theme plugin was in use, if you are using the mobile page template, then there is no need to set the code in that path.
The shortcode where it is set, did you use a child theme to set it in functions.php? If so it should work, is working for me – https://i.imgur.com/mqFWgu0.png
Css – https://i.imgur.com/nt5jVHF.png
code -https://i.imgur.com/VA2JNSe.png
Thank you!
Hi,
AS long as you are not using the mobile theme plugin, the same elements that are rendering on desktop will also render on the responsive version (mobile). Just make sure that your shortcode has the adjusted version for mobile.
Thank you!
