Hi,
Actually it’s not the custom work. This is the missing functionality which is there in desktop version but not in mobile theme.

Hi,
For the past few years, I’ve been using the mobile theme. I’m not sure what effect it will have on SEO if I change it now. So, please tell me how to accomplish this using a mobile theme. Consider the user’s perspective: we can’t switch from this to that for a single functionality.

Hello Satheeshraj V!

We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:

1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page.Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.

2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages

3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.

A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY

If you need to use the mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to disable the Mobile Theme plugin.

Thank you!

Hello Satheeshraj V!

These setting filters are not available in the Mobile theme. Uninstall the mobile theme plugin and you’ll get the responsive mobile version from Composer.

Thank you!

Hi Hasaan,

The mobile theme comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).Also, please check this topic where I explained each mobile version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-version-not-working-properly-2/ and choose what mobile version you want.

Thank you!

Hi,
Here is the link to the said page: https://learnexceltoexcel.com/free-excel-training/

This is designed in tagdiv composer. It opens fine on desktop. But when i try to see it on mobile, nothing shows up except the header and the title of page.

If i check “desktop mode” on mobile, contents show up as it should. Somehow, mobile theme is messing with something. I have tried turning off all the plugins, refreshing the cache etc but nothing is working.

Please help

Hasaan

Hello Satheeshraj V!

Choose a category from this dropdown: https://prnt.sc/t5bfRlN5ZsLg (Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Mobile theme -> Grids)

Then how to acheive the category filter in mobile theme home page?

Bettina

Hello @interlajmi!

Yes, because this is a cache issue. This layout is because you have a mobile theme or AMP enabled.
Deactivate any caching tools you’re using or these two plugins.

Thank you!

Hello @sunil5823!

You can uninstall the plugin, and it won’t appear again on any page. Or, you can disable the mobile theme for each post. There is no setting to disable the mobile theme for all posts.

Thank you!

Hello Craig!

If you are using the mobile theme you will have to set your main menu as you like from the panel, like this -> https://i.imgur.com/VaYLEKn.png Otherwise, if you are using the general responsive mobile version, please notice that you will have to do one more change, like this -> https://i.imgur.com/bHwAsQX.png

Hello @swankyfella !

Check this guide: https://byteofdev.com/posts/speed-up-font-loading/
Theme requirements: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
There are a lot of factors which can make your site slow. Make sure you use only some templates and fewer functionalities and options.
Some factors which you need to take into account are:
External factors: server speed, if you are using CDN or not, the external resources loaded by your website like ads, fonts, tracking scripts like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Twitter analytics, Hotjar and so on.
Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, if you are using mobile optimized layouts, console errors, if you are using the Standard Pack plugin or not, if you are using the PRO demo or a standard one.
Some starting points to improve your website page speed are here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/optimize-script-to-improve-site-speed/

https://www.xtechkr.com/optimize-newspaper-theme/

Please note that page speed is not covered by the support team: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-support/

Thank you for understanding!

On my website there seems to be a problem with the categroies. When I view my website on the computer it shows the correct categories but on mobile there will be the ones I want to hide. Also the theme did not use the template I want for this articles. The articles of the “hidden” categories are on a single template. How can I change this?

Hi Anamaria,

I’m using AdSense and have auto-ads integrated already. But this didn’t show them within the content of the articles (just above and below).

Ah, I see – ad spots in the mobile theme will get used on AMP – but only one article inline ad is not enough, as my content is very lengthy sometimes. So I would need more ad spots within the article content: How can I use more article inline ads for AMP?

Thanks,
eC

Hello,

If you use the Single Post Template global for all posts, then you can set the code here
For mobile you can create a mobile template and delete the code from the top ad -> https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
AMP is very restrictive when it comes to the ads and to the content. What type of ads are you planning to use on AMP exactly? Are they compatible with AMP?

The most popular and widely used type of ads used for AMP are AMP auto ads from Google https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/9261309?hl=en
We provide a field for entering the code https://i.imgur.com/2kAsROP.png

Also, the mobile theme ad spots will load ads on mobile or mobile + AMP https://i.imgur.com/YEkMJ6N.png

Thank you!
