Hello,
This probably happens because you use the mobile theme plugin. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
You have to create separate versions of your pages for the mobile template.
Thank you!
Hi, why my blog problem with menu and search, menu not working and search not appear. see… https://www.screencast.com/t/KW7deIee0 ( i use tagDiv Mobile Theme )
Hello,
I am using the licensed and purchased version of NEWSPAPER theme. But it does not display the content section on mobile devices.
Hello Tagdiv Team,
some Problem, since Update to 8.6. The social Icons in the bottom of Posts appeare verry small and in monochrom blue. Edits in the Theme Panel have no influence and also I can´t erase some Icons. In use is an 7 Childtheme.
How can I change the Design of the Icons?
The Mobiletheme is OK.
Thank You.

Hi,
1. If you are not using the mobile theme plugin, the settings are here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/35AiozaxchA
If the mobile theme plugin is active the settings are here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/AN8Konc4W
Make the changes accordingly and the results should be good.
2. They seem alright to me, there are no height or width differences from what I can see, between the sliders. Maybe I am not seeing the issue, please correct me.
Regarding the cache please check the configuration, there is a guide here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Settings may not look the same with the latest version of the plugin, but you can take a look.
Thanks
It’s bad I would say. Each link internal or external dilutes the power of links on the page. Even menu and footer links count.
So double the number of menu bar links, decreases the power of the other links on the page.
So loading in 60 nav bar links rather than 30 will have a serious impact from an SEO perspective.
You could just use PHP (server side) to detect the operating system being used and then not bother to load in the mobile menu. Same the other way round.
This is how other themes do it like Rehub for example.
This has come to light as I am using your theme in a niche and it’s proving difficult to rank because of how diluted the silo structure is.
My only conclusion compared to other sites I have built, is how the dev team on this theme have coded the nav bar.
Your theme is fast and great to work with, but the menu bar needs a rethink and to be honest, your theme would be even faster not loading in unnecessary code.
It’s serious enough for me to consider using another theme as I am fastly coming to the conclusion after 18 months, a change of theme would result in better organic results for us.
Hi,
I don’t quite understand what you want to do. By default (mobile theme plugin inactive) on mobile the same header menu will be displayed. If the mobile theme plugin is active you can choose a different header menu than on desktop
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
The top menu is not displayed at all times on mobile. It could be made to appear with a custom code, but only when the mobile theme is not used.
Please correct me if I misunderstood what you are asking.
THanks
Hi,
That could be removed with this code
– https://www.screencast.com/t/3FZ0yVGF3j1y
If you can enter it in the general custom css section in the theme panel, it will affect mobile as well with this result
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ofsBmELkhjU
Or you can enter in the desktop section to work only on desktop
.home .td-main-page-wrap {
padding-top: 0;
}
Thanks
Hello Simion:
– But the problem only started happening when I updated the theme to 8.6 version. Is that normal?
– Also: how can it be a plugin conflict if in mobile the icons show fine?
Thanks.
Hi,
If you are not using the mobile theme plugin the desktop ad will remain in the same position.
This method will not work with the mobile theme plugin active, the shortcode will not be rendered. The mobile theme has ad settings of it’s own that you can use.
Thanks
Hello,
My site is using another language and does not use english. I have found in the following files:
./wp-content/themes/Newspaper/header.php
./wp-content/themes/Newspaper/mobile/header.php
!–[if IE 8]> <html class=”ie8″ lang=”en”> <![endif]–>
<!–[if IE 9]> <html class=”ie9″ lang=”en”> <![endif]–>
Other than manually hardcoding those files, is there another way? Child themes? Or could you give me a code that will fill in the value from wordpress settings (that is correctly set to the language I need)
Thank you
Hello,
I have two small problems which I haven’t been able to solve.
1. The mobile menu and search background image will not change from the default image, even though I have put a new image in the theme panel setting.
2. The sliders on most of my main pages (politics, science, tech, history) are too large on mobile, and the changes I try to make in Slider Revolution are not being applied. What I would like is how it is on my Culture page, but I’m not sure why that is correct and the others are not.
I’m also not sure if both of these problems are due to some caching mistake or not.

This is one for your developers to look in to
I am just looking at the way the menus are coded.
It seems that in the source code you load both the desktop and mobile version of the menu. Then using client side javascript render the right version.
My concern it that
1. It’s more code loaded onto the page than is needed.
2. Does Googlebot see both sets of menus?
My concern is that the internal link juice is watered down because twice as many links are loaded onto the page than needs be.
A black coloured strip appears above hamburger menu in the mobile theme.
How to remove it?
Check your Google News sitemap. Theme has zero control over what Google News captures (we’ve been in Google news since the 2005 beta, with 15 sites captured daily). Google checks the sitemap first, then uses its classic bot. If there is no image specified (e.g., a featured image set, showing in the Google News sitemap, or if you have your sitemap set to use multiple images), GN may capture the first or largest image in text after first paragraph as was the case prior to GN specific sitemap.
If you have proper open graph meta tags, and a Google News sitemap; those will be the first cases for images captured. When you use certain images as ‘backgrounds’ even if set as featured they may skip that and use first ‘in post’ image.
So, if you are getting different results with SAME post on two different themes, then YOU need to determine WHAT you are doing differently; e.g., again, if you use a large featured image OUTSIDE the post, or as background on one theme, and as inline image in another, Google may treat those as two different things. Not apples to apples.
Theme provides many options for how images are placed; so if Google is not following your ‘Google News Sitemap’ properly, to fall back on the ‘on page capture’ method, which is outside anybody’s control.
Put another way – nothing the theme developers can do — YOU need to choose a page template that works with GN if they are skipping your GN Sitemap for some reason and/or ignoring your og:image tag(s).
Also note, Google may not show images at all sometimes depending on desktop or mobile view; may show mobile view on desktop, etc. They are in a transition to ‘mobile first’ which you can tell when you see vertical story boxes in borders vs old school laundry list method of display.
NEWS GROUPINGS:
ALSO: if your story is a follow-on (clone or ‘also ran’) of a news item already published elsewhere, they may “group” your news item with those as a “related news…” grouping, and choose the first or last post in that group as the image shown, in certain instances; again, nothing you can do about THAT

Hi,
There are some errors on the website from what I can see
– https://www.screencast.com/t/fNNCWSOaiq6f
The mobile theme is sensitive to caching, it may not work properly under particular configurations. If possible try as a quick test to deactivate the cache plugin currently used, activate the mobile plugin and check if the issue is solved.
Thanks
Hi,
Now it works. As I mentioned above the theme will not work properly with RTL, this is why the issue is happening. I could give you a code for this issue specifically, but others may happen with different elements and other modifications will be necessary.
Try entering this code in Theme panel->Custom CSS section
#td-mobile-nav {
position: fixed;
}
It should fix this problem, but it could create others as well.
Thanks
Hi,
Visual composer hides the row background on mobile, that would be the default behaviour. It could be made visible with custom code, such as this one
– https://www.screencast.com/t/rN5XtdsorPIB
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.vc_hidden-xs {
display: block!important;
}}
Enter the code in Theme panel->Custom CSS and the video background should be visible on mobile.
Thanks
Hello,
Sorry but I’m not sure how you want to change the look of the menu. You can change the background and colors for the mobile menu from the theme panel
Thanks.
Hi,
They seem to display better now, one below the other at least. I see the titles have a white color, so they are invisible
– https://www.screencast.com/t/3La3P0k9hqjZ
Also the first single image is aligned right, the middle one is center and the last is left. If you could align them all center and also set a different color for the titles they would display better. Or try with custom code, with this result
– https://www.screencast.com/t/iJhwSmwA6
– https://www.screencast.com/t/4aWg1S4u0z
This is the code I used, it should be entered in the Theme panel->Advanced CSS in the phones section. This way it will only be applied on mobile, while desktop remains the same
.home .wpb_single_image {
text-align:center!important;
}
.home .vc_custom_heading {
color:black!important;
text-align:center!important;
}
Thanks
Hello,
If you want to have the same responsive version, please disable the mobile theme plugin.
The footer logo can be changed from the footer section of the theme panel.
Thank you!

Hi,
Firstly I don’t have the tagDiv mobile theme plugin installed and it was working fine beforehand. Before today the content was showing fine when viewing on mobile, it would change to the mobile menu at the top of the screen and show the main content in on big column and then the sidebar at the end of the content. Now when viewing on mobile it looks exactly the same as if you were on desktop. What has caused this?
Thanks,
Chris
Hi,
If the mobile theme is installed, this requires content for pages to be entered through the mobile editor
– https://www.screencast.com/t/wPSsa0plC8K
Note that the plugin is optional, it is used for example if you want to display a different, lighter version of the website. The front page is predefined, only one template template will be shown on all posts, category pages etc.
In case you want to display the same content from desktop on mobile, simply deactivate it. You can find out more about the mobile theme here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
We will try and add more features to the mobile theme in coming updates.
Thanks
Hello cysec,
I have inspected your website on mobile and the site seems to work as expected on mobile devices. Provide some useful screenshots with the error so I can identify it and also so I will be able to provide am roe accurate response. First of all, make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme, remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results. Purge all CDN files if you are using the Cloudflare system.
Thanks.
