Hi there,
It’s the first time we use the Newspaper theme to create a website. However, what is negatively surprising is the speed we obtain with the theme. We are still trying to improve it since we have bad results.

The website is located here: https://letzbehealthy.com and is configured for two “languages/regions” with WPML.

We followed the different recommendations given here: https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/ and in other topics on the forum. The only thing is that we did not set up any CDN: our target population is in France, Belgium, and Luxembourg, and the server is localized in France (Gravelines, OVH). Also, to start, we are on a shared server since we don’t have much traffic, but we will consider switching to a dedicated server when it will grow. The website is, however, slow while never reaching limits of the CPU usage.

Regarding the Plugins, we have:
– Advanced Ads Pro;
– Autoptimize to minify CSS;
– Contact Form 7;
– Duplicator Pro (running during the night);
– Insert Pages;
– Newsletter;
– Really Simple SSL;
– ShortPixel Image Optimizer;
– Slide Anything;
– The Events Calendar;
– Wordfence Security;
– TagDiv suite (except Mobile Theme & Standard Pack since we only use Cloud Templates);
– WP Super Cache;
– WP-Optimize to clean the database episodically;
– WPML suite, and;
– Yoast.
We, therefore, use well-known plugins that are quite standard…

The score is “OK” when looking at the desktop version (PageSpeed Google), with a score starting around 80 when the cache of the server is cleaned and slightly improves after reload. Still, the page loading speed could sincerely be enhanced.

On the mobile side, the score is horrible. We don’t use the mobile theme because our mobile display is supposed to be a simpler version of the desktop version with the same design & functions. We use lighten versions of our desktop version thanks to CSS hidden functions (which is the recommendation from TD team)…

Anyway, Lazyload is activated, images are optimized & sized correctly (normally), etc. What’s wrong?

I want to change the colors of the list options, of the editor, when we make lists by. or numbers, attached screenshots, I have not given how to do it by CSS.
The default color is # 000 and it is marked as li :: marker, as shown here.

This is an example of color change from another website, but I could not make the change I can’t find that class li :: marker in the CSS.

I have seen some settings on the theme related to ads and I believe these are connected to Google Adsense only? Please clarify if there are other options too.

For example, if I want to add an image (a graphics I create) or custom made video as an advertisement on the website, how can I achieve that please?

Also, I am using the default header for Newsmag, can I add an image (full width of the available white space) next to the logo?

I have a pickle, after search forums and trying the recommended suggestion I am still stuck. Using Single Post Template – Default Pro, I have google adsense code, when I use the default template, not single post, it will show inline ad after specific paragraphs, but when I choose “Single Post Template” no ads and error in the inspector “Only one ‘enable_page_level_ads’ allowed per page.” this error only shows when I put google adsense code in the single page template and no ads are shown, now I should say no ads are showing on desktop, but if I view AMP page on the desktop it displays the ads, but what is weird is on the actual mobile device the amp page shows no ads except for seemingly at the very bottom, not inline, now that might be some other issue, so far just trying to figure out how to get ads listed in this single post template. Thoughts, suggestions? I have run out of things to try. NOTE: if I enter shortcode for my internal ad system it does show ads, though they are tiny, not sure what that is about.

I applied block 7 to our home page and enabled pagination. When the site loads on desktop and mobile, the thumbnails are dull and low res compared to the next set of thumbnails. When I click on the next page, the thumbnails are okay. Then when I click back arrow, the thumbnails are back to normal. There are no other issues with the other blocks’ thumbnails. Is this a bug?

My adsense is not showing up in my header ads or any others. Adsense is fine. Im not sure why it happened.

I have encountered this issue when using Flex Block 3 on Animal Pro. The last 2 posts do not display the same spacing behavior as the rest on mobile version. Are there any solutions?

is there a shortcode (or even better php-code) to display content only on mobile oder desktop? i’ve found <div class=”td-visible-phone”> and <div class=”td-visible-phone”> just for ads, but it’s predefined with styles (align=center). i don’t want to use another mobile detect plugin – do you have an advice oder solution for this?

We have purchased both the Newspaper and the Newsmag themes for use in a WordPress multisite installation.

Upon activating the theme Newspaper in a sub-site, we are prompted with updates, and activations, of its required plugins. This works as expected, without issue.

However, when moving on to another sub-site in which we want to use Newsmag, the theme reports that the tagDiv Composer plugin is Outdated and any attempt to activate it results in a fatal error because it requires critical Newsmag files. Restoring those files from the purchase bundle leads to a warning that the tagDiv Composer plugin was disabled because they are incompatible with this version of Newsmag.

If we update tagDiv Composer from the Newsmag interface, it breaks Newspaper for the same “missing files and outdated version” reasons, and the cycle begins all over again.

These seem to be two themes that depend on different versions of the same plugin.

It there any way to have Newspaper and Newsmag co-existing on WordPress multisite with single version of tagDiv Composer?

2-3 inline article, 2-3 inline the categories, an in other places.
Is there an extra plugin that I can manage my ads?

After the latest update – 10.3.2 is some dirt appears on every page bottom:

when theme inactive – ( like base twenty twenty active ) – its not there, so it is clearly the theme brings there.

Other problem – the template editor wont do anything – says sometimes this template not created with tagdiv – or shows nothing – just can add a new elements -but can not save anything..

if AMP and mobile theme plugins activated – then site crash – and desktop view also loads AMP – but on a bad way..

All this bad things from the latest update.

Deactivated all plugins — still the same issue
Cleaned db – all possible way – same
purchased a new license to be able to write here… – same issue still…

I ad the adsense code in Article Inline AD, i setup AFTER PARAGRAPH:2 and the ad is not running in the article. Do i need to make anothers settings?

Hello, on my website: https://valorvortech.com/ under the post: https://valorvortech.com/top-5-best-features-the-iphone-11-excels-at/ when scrolling to the end of that post, it shows the Newspaper loading icon and loads in my one other article on my website. This problem didn’t exist before, and my one other post doesn’t have this issue.

I tried editing the template but didn’t found anything.

I have a total of 9 plugins, 7 of which are the tagDiv plugins needed to run the site. The other two are an image compression plugin, and an adaptive image plugin, both are from ShortPixel, that I installed when this issue happened. I have tried deactivating and deleting these two plugins, but the issue still persists.

I also attempted utilizing a brand new template, but the issue is still there.

I am unsure of how to get rid of this issue, and can’t find anyone else having this issue, is there any way I can go about disabling/getting rid of this?

I have new theme installed on site and its working perfect except I can’t able to edit Footer Template just like I am getting options to edit all other templates using link “Edit Template” on each but Footer Template not getting that option. I have attached screenshot, Please let me know what action I Need to do.
