Hi,

I am working on a site with woocommerce and the product page does not work for a simple product.

Steps that reproduce the issue on the site:
– create product as simple product
– the product gets listed in the catalog
– the product page returns an error: “There has been a critical error on this website.”
– after changing the product to a variable product, the product page works fine.

When changing to one of the free templates the product page work for both types of products, simple and variable products.

Geert.

Hello @Quaren !

This is possible only if you use cloud templates using a flex block. Read more about it here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/
For each category, you have a special filter for the current category, which displays the posts from that category dynamically in each category.
Or, you can specify the post ID’s that will display in the flex block. In order to have different posts on each category page, you need to duplicate the category template, give it another name, and assign it to the correct category page. You can have a global template but also individual templates for each category.

We recommend using cloud/PRO templates in order to have the possibility to edit them with the TagDiv Composer, which contains a lot of functions and features. Please check out our tutorial here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
More documentation about the cloud templates is here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloud-library-templates/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloud-library-category-templates/

The website is https://www.coupdepoker.com/
At the moment I have cloud templates for the desktop version and the default mobile theme.
I’d like to customize the HP on mobile.
I do not want/need to customize other pages/posts etc.

Hi,

I’d like to create a mobile cloud template for the HP only.
Is it possible? How can I make it work with the default mobile theme (for other pages/posts/archives…)?

Thanks

Hello,

I have restored the old backup and the cloud templates work fine now. This issue occurred because of a theme upgrade from 12.6 to 12.6.1. You can check it with the login details.
Before updating the theme –
Page design layout showing properly- All Cloud Templates Accessible

Break the design layout – After updating the theme

Page and Post ( Cloud templates are not used for this )
Can you let me know the solution that I need to apply for this If I update the theme?

I have a website that has not been getting new content in a while now due to shifted directions. However it keeps getting injected with spam news posts. I have identified the newspaper theme as the root cause. I have updated to newspaper 12 and this is problematic. On pages:

Hello @rockman008 !

We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:

1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page.Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.

2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages

3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.

A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you need to use mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.

You can add the ad box element in the tagdiv Composer and add the code there in the mobile viewport. Read all about it here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/ads-adsense-overview/

Thank you!

Dear Bettina,

please understand that I have checked any templated created with tagdiv composer. There is no such modal button.

The code appears on any page (posts, pages, homepage, category pages, archive pages, …). So, it is universally included in the theme.

In the code surrounding the links, I can find classes like “td-coaching-mm” which indicates that the Coaching header has been used. This, in fact, has never been the case.

So, I assume there is a technical glitch with the theme and I would be really grateful if someone of your team could take a look.

Thank you!

Hello Paolo!

If you updated the theme to the latest version, then you need to activate the Standard Pack plugin in order to have all the default templates available.
We recommend using cloud/PRO templates in order to have the possibility to edit them with the TagDiv Composer, which contains a lot of functions and features. Please check out our tutorial here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
More documentation about the cloud templates is here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloud-library-templates/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloud-library-category-templates/
You can redesign the website using the tagdiv Composer, or import the cloud template you like from the Cloud Library, or install an entire demo (without content) with design only.
You can reproduce this block as well using Flex Block 1 for example: https://prnt.sc/CKfblif2FWAJ

Thank you!

Hello Bettina,

The problem is that in page view from any browser this line in subfolder is visible with theme default text, but when I switch in tagDiv composer mode this line is invisible. You will see it in screenshots:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1JEtcfz7vttpBtSrjWPTgWeVnTMrbLfsS?usp=drive_link (copy link in any browser it is my google drive)

Other method I try to use is Theme panel in footer section is sub-footer sub-section, i can edit there but just in case when footer template is set to none. As I use Cloud template Parenting Pro than I can’t change anything.

Please help.

hello, for several days, we have had display problems on our site in certain sections:
https://youpi.news/topic/tutoriels/

screenshot : https://share.cleanshot.com/zH5T6dGz

We already disabled all templates leaving just tagdiv enabled and the problem still occurs. so it must come from the theme. yet we haven’t touched anything on this page template for weeks.

do you have an idea ?

Hello @tekedia !

Make sure that all the settings are like in our requirements, please follow the guide carefully: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.
Make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.

Hi,
I do have a problem updating the Theme. Here is the website: https://evergreenseeds.com/
I have an old version and the theme has not been updated since 2019, when I proceed with the update all get messed up.

-Is there a way we can use the same header and footer in the updated theme? These seem to be the parts harder to replicate.
For example, how to replicate the “Header style” and “Footer Templates” in the latest theme version?

– Also there are some blocks not available in the tag div composer plugin’s latest version. We were using those blocks in our Homepage.

Thanks, Paolo

I hve designed a mobile template but i would like to use it on other pages of my site with some alternations. Is there a way to copy the mobile template i have designed or do i have to do each page from scratch. it would be a lot of work as there are ten pages

I am sorry, but this is still not the solution.

The only modal on the homepage is the newsletter optin. This does not contain the problematic code.

Further, it appears on every single page in the frontend.

Please see this code snippet:

<div id="tdm-popup-modal-menu" class="tdm-popup-modal-wrap tdm-popup-modal-over-screen" style=""><div class="tdm-popup-modal-bg"></div><div class="tdm-popup-modal td-theme-wrap"><div class="tdm-pm-header"><div class="tdm-pmh-close">

It seems to me as if it is implemented in the header/menu section. However, I cannot find it in the cloud templates.

I have checked any field one by one without any result. How can I locate it eventually?

Hi all!

Recently switched to Newspaper from another theme, and while very happy overall I have a couple of niggly things I’ve not yet worked out – the biggest one is page templates.

I’m trying to find a way to create pages using the Gutenberg editor, but have the content added to a page template, in much the same way that regular posts are. This would allow for consistent formatting, ease of page creation, and the ability to use blocks from the Kadence plugin or things like drop caps.

For example:
Take the layout of this post – https://warhamateur.com/tools/clippers/dspiae-st-a-single-blade-nipper/

I want the sidebar to be consistent throughout the site, excepting the home page. I can’t create this using the standard widget function, however, so I would like to set it in the page template like I have the post template. The page template editor however doesn’t have a ‘content’ block like the post editor.

Assuming this makes sense, is what I’m trying to do actually possible?

(also I’m aware that some pages/posts look a little off. I’ve been editing on the live site because I’m apparently an idiot!)

Hello @novodia!

Dear Bettina,

please kindly note that I do not use the Coaching PRO header. Editing 404 templates does not solve the issue.

The links are inserted into the page header automatically by the theme.

Please recheck it?

Hi,

You need to disable the mobile theme and amp to have mobile responsive version.

Using our theme you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
If you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer, then when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
So, the mobile responsive is what you see then that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
The Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin cannot.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activated and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page, you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activated.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.

Thank you!

I have deactivated mobile theme and AMP pages for testing, now.

However, the links to the 404 pages are still there. After investigating the source code for the desktop version of the theme, I have found following section:

Here, these problematic links are inserted in the header section. However, the links are not visible (i.e. hidden) on the rendered web pages and I cannot find them in the tagdiv composer templates.

Do you have a clue how to remove them and why/how they are inserted?

Hi,

For the mobile theme and amp, this option will not be added. The option is available for mobile responsive and mobile pages/templates.

Thank you!
