Our design team has customized a cloud template for our individual post pages. They would like the ability to add custom sidebars to specific pages. However none of the things they’ve tried have worked. I came across this page which suggests using the widget sidebar module, or by including a sidebar into the cloud template itself.
What they’re really looking for is a way to add a custom shortcode to any given page, and have it show up in the sidebar. They don’t want to add it to the template because then it would show up on every page using that template. They don’t want to create additional templates because they’d essentially be duplicating a template and only changing the sidebar.
Is it possible for the Newspaper theme to read in the value of a custom field, and render it in the sidebar of a cloud template?
For example
* The user creates a shortcode [foobar id=1234" category="SEC"] and assigns it to the “sidebar_shortcode” custom field.
* The cloud template is able to read in the value of that field and render the shortcode
* If any given page doesn’t have a value for that field it does nothing.
Is that possible?
We’re using the TECH NEWS PRO Prebuilt Websites template. Even after disabling social links, feature images, suggested posts, social share still FCP, LCP and CLS score is very high.
Not installing the default template shows very little error. But that makes no sense and the website looks extremely basic. Please share actionable steps accordingly for each FCP, LCP, and CLS.
Thank you this worked perfectly for the page. Now I am needing to create a separate page to display the CPT content when someone navigates to the CPT content and display custom fields. We are currently using the NewsPaper theme with the Cloud Template feature. Is it possible to use the Single Template feature as we have on the regular posts where we can choose which template to use for each post? Also, is it possible to create a cloud template to display the CPT single post with the custom fields we have created also? We would like this template to be used only for the CPT Top 100. We would also like to possibly also display some of the ACF custom fields on the initial landing page. Is this possible? Thank you in advance. First of all thanks for creating such kind of a great theme. It’s really amazing. I have encountered two problems while customizing the theme:
1. I have added categories and pages to my main menu and customized the menu colors. Menu colors are being shown in pages as I have customized (Red) but whenever I go to any category page main menu colors are getting back to their default colors (Blue in this case). I tried to fix it from Tagdiv Composer on the Category template, but everything looks fine there. Here are the images regarding the problem:

2. I use Flex Block 3 on the Home page and headers have been set to Global Header in Tagdiv Composer. But sometimes headers on different blocks (all are Flex Block 3) are shown in a different ways despite the settings are the same. I changed them to Block Header 1 – Default, but it doesn’t help. how can I use the flex blocks on sidebar? I don’t want to use the standard pack plugin.
Actually I have “faked” the sidebar by using the flex block elements on the page/post templates (https://ibb.co/0sV4B7h). But the problem is, on this way I have to design this “faked sidebar” for all templates I’m using. It would be great if I can use simply the flex blocks on the design => widgets => sidebar.

There are 3 options to use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website is looking similar like on desktop, edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB ; there you can see your mobile version and you can edit the elements there.

If you want a responsive version for your mobile version, then you should uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin which has its own templates and your responsive version will appear automatically.

It seems you have installed Mobile theme plugin. If you created the mobile pages with TagDiv Composer, then when you install Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin.
The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates (that default style) for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Better deactivate the plugin and see the results.

Is there any option to delete these pages?
I know I can edit with TD Composer a PAGE but then you can’t use the normal WordPress editor, is there a way to use a template for a page and specify a different header then the default site header? I have a special section I am working on and want this PAGE to use a different header, but want to use the standard WordPress Editor to edit the page, I just want when viewed to load a different header then the global one.
Appreciate any insight.
PS. I use the Cloud Library not standard.

AMP and TagDiv mobile was not installed. I asking indeed if there is this need to solve those problem:

Have you checked for admin-ajax error? Please verify the console when you try to save the template/page, usually, it displays a 403 or 404 error.
If you don’t use a security plugin, please ask your host about this, maybe you have a security module that blocks this.
If you use a plugin like Wordfence please set it in learning mode.
Also, make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv plugins, also if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

it looks like you have activated the mobile theme plugin.
The mobile theme plugin uses a standard layout for mobile to make it faster, but for this, all your pages need to be remade using the mobile editor (so you can only add the elements that are present in the toolbar, without shortcodes (blocks) and the shortcode for the contact form (if you copy-paste the code will not work)).
Better deactivate the plugin and see the results.
Usually, this problem when the mobile theme is displaying on the desktop, then you have a cache conflict, the plugin for the cache that you are using do not recognize the mobile and desktop cache. We recommend using the WP Super Cache plugin https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/

First I contacted google AMP forum and I got this reply “Thanks for reaching out. From inspecting your site it looks like you’re using a TagDiv theme. You’ll need to contact them with any queries for your AMP URLs, as their theme provide specific styling and templates for AMP URLs.”

At this point, it is not a priority to build a new cloud template, so I changed subpage of UEFA Euro 2020 (https://www.bet3.gr/category/euro-2020/) back to default template. I noticed, however, that the issue of image position exists on every cloud template of Newspaper theme: Mobile theme, Homepage, 404 Error page, Inner pages etc, when I use content block shortcodes. Is there a generic CSS code to set the image position right on Blocks or do I have to discriminate which Blocks I use to write CSS on them?
There is no option for breadcrumbs on Template settings (Newspaper: 10.4)
The only thing that shows on the Breadcrumbs is the current page. (and have the option to shows the home, that’s it.)
So… its pretty much useless to use it

I updated the theme and now I can see those options in theme panel but when I try to hide the featured image nothing changes in the responsive mode.

But, if auto in article ads work, why are they not showing between any of the cloud template article paragraphs or custom TagDiv page posts? I know I have set up Adsense auto ads correctly because they show up in between the posts of my search pages and at the bottom of all pages. But not in between the articles and posts content of the cloud template article paragraphs or custom TagDiv page posts.

Only if you will deactivate the plugin, then you will see your responsive version on your mobile version. If you want to use a mobile page, then you need to assign it.
