I am developing locally in MAMP (MAC). I upgraded from Newspaper 8.2 to 8.5. Everything seems to work fine accept the new Landing Page feature (“tagDiv Multi-Purpose” plugin) does not function. Specifically,
• the “tagDiv Multi-Purpose” plugin is installed and “active”.
• I create a new page using “Pagebuilder + Overlay menu” template page setting.
• PROBLEM: None of the buttons are available under “Elements” when I try to edit and build the page with tagDiv Composer.
Under “Themes Panel” > “PLUGINS’ SETTINGS” > “General Settings” > “BUTTONS STYLE” this alert appears:

I did. When I upload the custom template file; I don’t see it as an option. Here is an example of what I did:

When I log into my WP Admin, I don’t see that template in the dropdown.
Did you follow the normal procedure, per the WordPress codex, for making new page or post templates?
I’d like to create a new template page, separate from the two pre-defined page templates offered. I am using a child theme of Newspaper. When I create the new template file, I don’t see it in the page template dropdown. Is this possible to create??

Hi, there is some werid behavior atfer upgrading to the latest version.
Firstly, loading any pages shows basic html for half a second before the JS Loads.
Secondarily, style 6 is not being applied to the category:

1. Each demo has it’s own custom implementation. The beauty blog has the shadow removed as a design choice. Which header style do you use?
2. I;m not sure what a post site it. Sorry. Only static pages can be changed with the page builder. Posts are edited in the back-end using the tiny mce editor. Other template such as the blog roll template are handled from the theme panel-> template settings
3. The sidebar on a post is different than the one on the page. The one on the page is not a standard sidebar but rather a a sidebar created for that page specifically directly in the page builder on a split row. It will have to be recreated in the widgets section if you want to have the same design.
4. The links grab the color from the theme accent color. There is no setting to change the links separately. https://www.screencast.com/t/V72pxWbMH

I can activate the theme on 2 websites with 1 licence ?
The site is the same, it’s just that one is the staging server and the other the production server.
For the big grid problem, I’m not using it on a particular page, it’s for the categories templates.
I just choose the element in the theme option panel.

That is the Latest articles section, this section has numbered pagination. You will need to select the required page template and the latest articles will be displayed on the bottom of the page in question

Theme doesn’t encode the RSS feed — WordPress does that. So if your RSS feeds work normally with that plugin disabled, but then are mis-encoded when plugin enabled — it’s an issue with plugin.
I don’t work here – but the RSS feed template is not part of theme and just publishes the content from the post box. If you’re using a page builder for a post, that might mess up the characters. Same with certain shortcodes that don’t ‘travel well’ as they are CSS, and there is no CSS in RSS.

UPDATE: 1) solved after removing the Jetpack Plugin. The issue 2) continues to exist. :-/
1) Posts settings don’t work
Whenever I make any change in the Theme Panel, the progress spinner takes forever to apply the changes. I have to refresh the tab to view the changes. Despite choosing default Post Template, I can’t make changes whenever creating a new post. Also Feature Image option appears partially with no option to add photos. In short, can’t create new posts or new pages easily.
2) Whenever I try to preview a test post, the “Edit Live CSS” box appears with no option to shut it.

Here is talking about the post pagination when you are using the pagebuilder+latest articles+pagination. So, the only right way to disable this pagination is to switch the theme to another page template (default for example). I can provide you a code to hide this pagination but it’s not recommended because then, the users cannot page the others posts and have no sense, sorry!

I have created a child them simply to add an additional td empty column area between the articles and the pagination on the Pagebuilder + latest articles + pagination template. I have this child the,me working but I cannot see where to replicate the code section to add the empty colum area which I can then customise with TD editor.

2. Those are post templates, they can only be set for posts. Pages can be built with the tagDiv composer, you can use any of the available elements. They do not have similar predefined templates like posts. Pages have these templates

The posts cannot be created with visual composer or the tagdiv composer. Posts are created with the tiny mce editor. What element is missing from your posts? What are you trying to recreate but cannot manage to? You cannot find a demo layout in the visual composer templates. That is why i posted the solution above to get the exact page from a demo but without content.

In 1/3 column, I place a Widgetised sidebar from visual composer, and I select a sidebar widget, but is not displayed!

I most pages of the web, I’ll need to use Visual composer, so… How can I solve this sidebar issue? In every page of the web I need to place a sidebar.

OK. Is there any way to implement the installation without demo content. For example, just create a page and then copy and paste it in the demo template? Or everything is based on visual perception will have to choose the right blocks?
