Hey folks!
I tried to change any elements in my front page with visual composer but i couldn´t because it doesn´t appear.
Hitting F12 it show me this error: Uncaught TypeError: $template.get is not a function Composer-view.is:165
When i try to do it the visual composer logo start to loading but never ends.
Also i tried to open a new page for editing it but i couldn´t add new blocks, templates or items :/
Any ideas?

Hi, thanks a lot! This was very helpful. Here are some follow up questions to what was not clear:
To question #1: I was not clear enough here. I meant if it is possible to have the title text below the picture for the default post template, i.e. swap the header picture and title.
To question #2: Our site is https://www.lettogsunn.no. We want to have the menu element “BESTILL HER” to have a background color as default, while the two other elements (MEDLEMSBETINGELSER and OFTE STILTE SPØRSMÅL) remain unchanged.
To question #3: That helped, BUT now also the title+excerpt beneath the pictures on the sidebar and from some of the main column items disappeared. I guess that the article title is also part of the “meta-info” module. Any way to show the title, but not the author and date? See https://www.lettogsunn.no for how it looks now.
To question #4: I guess I was referring to “Block 13 on 1 column”, like on the right hand side of the page you referred to. Is it possible to have both title and excerpt below picture for this block?

The sidebar appears because there is a bbpress default template that you can style from here: http://screencast.com/t/oyMj2xH1zEcE
Unfortunately you will have to edit the plugin files if you want to add theme elements inside the bbpress forum. You can maybe use a do_shortcode function: https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/do_shortcode/ inside the bbpress.php file in the root folder of the theme:
for example if you want to add the trending now widget, create it inside a dummy page and enter classic mode and text mode(not visual) so you can get the shortcode for the element. Then you simply add it inside the function and paste it inside the file like so:
In the bbpress.php fiule, there are 3 cases with code in each section. there is the default sidebar case, the sidebar left case and the no sidebar case. Yes I understand but if you remove the articles, what is the pagination supposed to do? the pagination is for the related articles section, not the whole page. If you want to remove the latest articles, change to a different post template and paginate one of the blocks. but as I said above, there is no way to paginate the “page”. Only elements can be paginated. The pagination on pages is not like the one on posts where you can split the post itself.

Hi! I must say I really love this theme, it is almost out-of-the-box ready for our purposes, but I hope you can answer the following questions related to the changes we see necessary:
1. For the post templates, we would really love to have the default style with the text BELOW the top picture instead of above. Is this possible? I find it strange that this is not one of the pre-defined templates.
2. Our top menu consists of 3 elements. Is it possible to highlight ONE of the 3 menu elements with another background color? Example: http://www.screencast.com/t/W6jQvE3el
3. Under “Post Settings” I can turn off showing author and date for all posts. This affects both the frontpage and sidebar (preview of posts) AND the post page itself. I would like to turn off/disable this for the frontpage and sidebar, but still show author + date at the very top of all posts when on the post page. Is this possible?
4. For “Block 13”, can I also show the introduction and just not the title underneath the picture?
5. Is it possible to modify/create a block (similar to Block 13 or 20) to show the full picture, then title, then introduction? Example: http://www.screencast.com/t/y0s4F7irXIKh

I’m sorry if I am not explaining myself well. Right on, I do understand that you can adjust your home “page” to include the template with the loop at the bottom but it also displays articles which I was hoping I could omit from that section/block. I just want the 1,2,3,4 Next Page to be at the bottom before the footer section begins without the articles if that makes any sense

We would want to apologize for the delay. Because of the huge amount of work that we have to handle sometimes may take up to 48 hour to answer at all tickets. Also there is the time zone that must be taken into consideration. However we do our best to answer in shortest time possible.
Concerning your requests I have to make the following specifications:
– the theme display in its blocks the default wp post type. However we added fields which allows you to display custom post types. That can be achieved by adding post type’s name in this field: http://screencast.com/t/S0dHovgwSS You have to add the exact name of your custom post type in order to be displayed. For example the name of event post type is tribe_events: http://screencast.com/t/eN2dSLBlg Also you have to set a featured image for your custom post type, otherwise the theme will display no-thumb image.
Another specifications refers to this page: http://geospatialworl.wpengine.com/blogs/ Here you’re using blog template which cannot be edited with Visual Composer and won’t display custom post types without modifying the code. You have to switch to a static page in order to have the page-builder from Visual Composer active.

You cannot have pagination other than the pagebuilder+latest articles template. I’m not sure what pagination you are referring to. Every block in particular can have it’s own pagination. The nextpage tag will not work on pages. That is for posts only. You cannot paginate the homepage in between blocks though. You can change the category template and top post settings from the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/KwjSE2Lc
If you want to add a block to the category templates, you can do so with a do_shortcode function inside the category templates or the category top posts: http://screencast.com/t/vaLSho5EXrXm.
Create the block you want in a dummy page and click on classic mode and switch to text mode so you can copy the shortcode for your block and then use the do_shortcode function to add it inside the file.
This however will require further css positioning as it will not display properly .
As an alternative, you could create static pages for your categories and use a 301 redirect from the category page to your static page.

A post broken into multiple pages with a <!–nextpage–> break shows the featured image again on each subsequent page. I’m not sure if this is intended behavior, but it occurs on post templates 6, 7, and 8 (possibly others). Interestingly, the featured image is not replicated on post template 1 or 2, however.
Showing the featured image on every page of a paginated post makes it much harder for readers to navigate the content. Any suggestions?

Hi, great theme
i preparing a site wich will be something big and the theme just does what we need.
However on the frontpage the template ends with the blogpages “Latest posts” and this we want to have hide or deleted, how can we do this?
How can I make the logos in the header and footer go to a different URL? I’m only using this template for my blog located at http://motorlando.com/news . But I would like for visitors to be directed to my main homepage located at http://motorlando.com when they click on the logo.
We are also experiencing these WP Booster Errors. A lot of them. We recently updated the theme so it may be related to that. I Googled the issue and saw that the recommendation was to update the template settings but the Theme Options panel doesn’t load (or rather loads blank). Are there modifications we can set via the database to remedy this? The site is generating about 20 errors like those below.
This is for a client’s site, so rather urgent. If we could hear back ASAP that would be great!

He intentado desactivar los plugins temporalmente y arreglar los permisos globalmente de tu sitio web, pero nada de esto ha ayudado a resolver el HTTP error, visto al subir imagenes desde la pagina de admin – Medios – Añadir nuevo.
Parece que el asunto se debe a la plantilla Newspaper que estas utilizando porque cuando estaba intentando subir una imagen, me da el siguiente error:

Parece que hay limites (max_execution_time) definidos en el Newspaper tema que utilizas que causan el problema. Puedes contactar al soporte o equipo que lo ha desarrollado para preguntar como puedes aumentar estos limites y asi seguiras utilzando el tema (me temo que no podemos ayudar con esto ya que no ofrecemos servicios de desarrollo/diseño).
¿Como podemos solucionarlo?
