I’m having the exact same problem with the EDITOR PICKS / POPULAR POSTS / POPULAR CATEGORY. Seems like the default footer should be blank. Since other elements are controlled by the theme panel, there should be some indicator in the theme panel that EDITOR PICKS / POPULAR POSTS / POPULAR CATEGORY are there. Otherwise users spend time looking at Widgets, theme panel, page builder to see where these are coming from.

Where specifically do I go to change the footer template to 5?

Ok now I have done a fresh install. New plugins and made all my edits to the theme settings. The CSS is loading properly but VC is still having issues.

I have default template set for home and just added new blocks to the page setup. The problem is that the blocks in rows are displating properly. None of the columns are redering properly and just spreads content across full width of row.

Have tried multiple combinations using different template selections but the rows still stretch content. Can’t figure this out. Prior to this I jsut created my page through homepage blank and everything just worked.

Maybe I’m just not understanding the new templates…can you shed any light?

And do you have a solution for my secon question too?

And a further question. Google Search Console told me that I have not set a “hreflang-Tag” yet.
What does this mean? And which code should a use and whre should I put this code?

Which Code do I have to inlcude to set the “hreflang-Tag” ?
In Google Search Page my Website is listed already but beside there is a Link “Translate this Site”. But this Site is already in german Language.

In Google Search Console I get the message that my Site has not set a “hreflang-Tag” yet so this could causing this Issues I described above.

You need to add a set of conditions in header-style-7.php and load a different logo image for each category like here: http://screencast.com/t/RDofG5R4YL

This code should load a different logo image for the category pages but only when header style 7 it’s used. If you change the header style you need to apply the customizations in the file corresponding with the header style used.

Its under Theme Panel > Template Setting > Page Template > Disable Comments. Somehow my setting was jumbled up after the update.

I mean “Sidebar” in “Default Template” when i create a page. Visual Composer divide page to 2 column: 2/3 + 1/3.

“Sidebar” is column 1/3 at the right of a page.

I too have been having major issues with Google, it’s hard to believe that Google would penalize us over a template, especially one that has sold thousands of copies…

I have a question for the GA masters… and this thread may have pointed out a serious problem in our website which I can’t thank you enough…

Our Website p a r a d i s e f o u n d t o u r s. c o m uses Post Affiliate pro to track and pay our affiliates. We set up the software in a directory off our root domain. Within the software we set up campaigns, banner links etc. Our affiliate simply links to us from their website appending their affiliate ID and banner ID to our domain url.

For example: ?a_aid=247e4f14&a_bid=168LP

Thanks to this thread I dove into our GA dashboard/behavior/All Pages/

and noticed tons of links in there with thousands of unique views that look like this:
/grand-canyon-south-rim/bus/?a_aid=247e4f14&a_bid=82LP
/grand-canyon-west-rim/skywalk-tour/?a_aid=247e4f14&a_bid=168LP

I am so confused by all this. Our affiliate has these links on their site, yet it shows up as a page in our GA, Could this be the source of our Google problems? Punishing us for duplicate content? Link Juice problems etc?

There are these affiliate links in our affiliate software interface on our domain. I would love to know your thoughts? I would love to dig us out of our hole and fix this. One web guru we worked with had a redirect going from these aff urls to our root domain, but I turned that off a few days ago thinking it wouldn’t solve the entire problem, there are too many pages with these aff ids in our GA.

Is this solved by the robots.txt file and/or htaccess? If so what would be that solution/code?

First of all your site is set to display the latest article not a static page. If you want to change that go at Settings > Readings and chose a static page to be displayed as front page: http://screencast.com/t/VSDcbdz7tP If you want to change the post template for the blog page, that can be done from theme panel > template settings: http://screencast.com/t/4p9bgL2DAS

The theme have different containers which contains different parts of the content. I am not sure what container do you need but here are few of the main containers:
– td-outer-wrap it’s the container which contains all page/post content, header, content and footer: http://screencast.com/t/eCVzziwisN This is an id container: #td-outer-wrap
– td-container it’s the container which contains only the page content built in Visual composer page builder, and all post content without header and footer: http://screencast.com/t/kJa6Ykj75 This is a class container .td-container
– td-container td-pb-article-list This container contains the latest article part, when the page builder + latest it’s used as a page template for the page: http://screencast.com/t/enC6VWlNBz

Use two different sidebars: one a default and one specially made for the homepage. When editing the page, you can choose a custom sidebar under “page template”.
