hi bettina,
the problem we are having is that i am trying to hand pick the featured ones for each category so i cant simply set it to displau current category in the filter section of the flex block.
and what is happening is that when i edit the ‘featured’ flex block in category X to display eg posts 175, 176, it edits the category cloud template to display 175 and 176 in the featured flex block on all tag pages that are using that cloud template.
what i need to be able to do is hand pick the featured posts for each tag and category.
it is also doing it for the page title. I’ve inserted a title element into the category/tag cloud template, but when i eg change it to display ‘Featured X’, it changes that in the cloud template too so now if i go on category Y, the title also displays ‘Featured X’ instead of ‘Featured Y’
Hello @gezimag!
If you use a single cloud template, then you can edit it with the TagDiv Composer and remove the date element from there. There is actually a recycle bin basket for every element: https://www.screencast.com/t/wFYdqgpo6pT. Documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/
After every modification, you need to reindex your website on Google. It may take some more time.
Thank you !
Hello @dweb35 !
We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page.Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.
A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you need to use mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.
If you use cloud templates, please edit your homepage with TagDiv Composer, scroll till footer, click on footer zone and you can edit it.
If you use the mobile theme plugin, then check in the Newspaper-> Theme panel-> Translations-> Translations and replace the words on the right side.
Thank you!
Hello @philippineone!
Yes, you can achieve this with our theme features.

Hello @astindia !
Yes, you can assign a different template manually for any post. Check this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/
Thank you!
Main things to watch out for:
– custom CSS in ‘theme’ panel, might be better in customizer; but expect some stuff will need update due to different ‘selectors’
– probably have to rebuild home page in theme builder (just like going from newsmag 3 to 5)
– probably need to redo sidebars (make sure to copy/backup any custom stuff into external file to redo)
– may have to redo header and footer
– will likely have to choose new defaults, for post template, archive templates
Not too horrible. But staging site recommended.
One thing I am testing out now is “WP-Staging” plugin which is kinda cool for this kind of thing.
(( disclaimer: I don’t work here just way early adopter years and years ago in the TagDiv multiverse 🙂 ))
Thanks Bettina, your answer led me to find the Search Template I’m apparently using, in my Cloud Templates. The only Search Template in play is Search Template 40 – Pandemic Pro, so I opened that with tagDiv Composer. On that page I can select the Posts Loop element and see the Sort Order option in the Extra section of the General tab. It was already set to -Latest-, so I didn’t make any changes. Glancing through the other tabs, I don’t see anything else that might impact what results I get or how they are displayed (other than appearance options). Should I try a different Search Template altogether?
We upgraded Newspaper some time ago and our website has been slow since, after reaching out to our host they have found the following logs in on the server, can you please assist? The below is just an example, there is more.

Hi,
Please make sure that the settings are set correctly.
Please tell me where it only appears on one page or the entire site. Did you add any code or elements from another plugin?
Please follow the steps from this topic https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/error-at-zones-6models-1dom-the-model-does-not-match-the-content-currene/ if you have a child theme; please use the main theme.
You can try to revert an old revision on a page/template -> https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/complete-guide-to-wordpress-post-revisions/
Thank you!
Hi,
Using our theme you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
If you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer, then when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
So, the mobile responsive is what you see when that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
The Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin cannot.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activated and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page, you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activated.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.
Thank you!
Hi,
You can have the author or hide in every post/article if you use a different template for each post/article. If you want the same design, you can duplicate the templates.
Check this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/different-logo-in-categorypage/; The same steps are to duplicate any template.
Thank you!
Hi c386,
There was a different option added, now you can create mobile pages and mobile templates using tagDiv Composer and you can use the same content/layout or you can set a different content/layout – https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/ also the options that can be edited per devices have a left bar like this one – https://i.imgur.com/ZDYeyLa.png
Thank you!

Hello,
I had a query regarding the Mobile page template. So, the theme is already responsive and would fit properly on mobile devices. Is there a difference between the two in terms of page weight OR is it just another template made for mobile.
Thank You.

Hello @nexusadmin !
If you have a global header or footer and you add the code to the header or footer, then it will display on every page of your website that has the global template (header or footer).
Thank you!
Hello,
Currently, my website’s 404 URL is displayed as ‘https://www.mywebsite.com/tdb-templates/404-template-downtown-pro/’. However, I would like to change it to ‘https://www.mywebsite.com/404’, which is a cloud template. Could you please guide me on how to make this change?

From my point of view, if you don’t use the Mobile Theme plugin, then there is no reason or benefit to AMP. Unfortunately, AMP is not working with the cloud templates because the AMP’s layout is not fully customized.
The AMP version works best with default templates and not cloud templates. That’s why we integrated it with the Mobile theme plugin.
The feedback from our clients about AMP was negative and it is not used anymore, that’s why we didn’t add more customization options.
Thank you for understanding!
Hi,
You could try it in a testing/staging install first. A copy of the website can be created with the duplicator plugin for example, or by any other means. Then you can remove the Newsmag theme and its plugins, and install the Newspaper theme and its plugins.
Then it depends on how you want to proceed. One way would be to install a Newspaper demo, which will provide a new homepage and the templates. Or you can import demo parts, they are all available in the cloud library https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/All
Besides sharing a few blocks from the composer, they are different themes after all.
In terms of risks, not sure what to say. Be sure to move your ad codes, analytics codes, also check the SEO, set the widget sidebars. If you use a child theme perhaps, that will have to be remade, in case it is still needed. If you have other pages, check those as well after switching the themes, they may have to be rebuilt or adjusted.
Let me know if you have questions, we can discuss more.
Thank you!
Hello @bettina,
I did, copy pasted the code for the home page and exported+imported all the cloud templates and enabled them.
Disabled all of the plugins except 3 of Tagdiv’s.
Thanks.
Hello,
When I import a cloud template, it is duplicated to pages too. So, the document is found in both Pages section and Cloud Template section. If I edit it in Cloud Templates, it gets edited in the Pages and vice versa.
This is a new fresh installation of WPML + TagDiv.
Deactivating all plugins, including WPML, did not help.
Do you have any hint/advise?
Dear Support Team,
Please I need your help regarding this error message.
I import single post page from Cloud template Tagdiv, and I unable to edit the page withis error message;
Error at zones: 6(models) : 7(dom). The model does not match the content Current state has involved an issue. You could try an UNDO operation (CTRL+Z / CTRL+SHIFT+Z)
Please see the atached screenshot for better understanding of the error.
Thannks and Regards.
so what i am trying to do is:
when you click on a category, tag, or search for a term, i want the results page to have a ‘featured posts’ section at the top, that is unique to that results page.
i created a layout on tagdiv and applied it globally, and found that whenever i edit the ‘featured posts’ posts loop element, it would apply the changes to all results pages.
so instead i created a duplicate of my global template, and planned to apply that to the categories that i want a unique featured posts section for, and my global template can just apply to all other generic categories, with generic featured posts.
as far as i can see, to have a unique section on each one, id need to create a duplicate template for each category/tag, and then add that as necessary to each results page? however this could become messy if i do it for tags too, as there could be so many tags that id have a crazy number of duplicate templates.
is there no way of applying one template to all categories and tags, and then just editing the filter on the featuring post loop for that specific page… and it not applying globally?
thanks
When i go to our site: http://www.saarmagazine.nl
most of the time it shows our mobile template in stead of our desktop desktop homepage. The desktop homepage shows a grid of three recent posts, dhe mobile template shows one large post. Next to this it doesnt show the logo and menu header on desktop (when it shows the mobile layout).
Also when I go to a blog from the website on my desktop, it shows the mobile layout for posts in stead of the desktop layout. So the image shows smaller and the text is on the left side of the screen and very narrow. Also without logo/menu header.
When i do a hard refresh on that page it seems like the cache erases so i get the right version, but my colleages never get to see the right version.
Here you see the mobile layout showing on a blog desktop (just showing the top of the page), + missing logo and menu and text on the left side):
https://www.saarmagazine.nl/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Schermafbeelding-2023-12-04-om-14.59.41.png
Here you see what it should look like (image showing entire page):
https://www.saarmagazine.nl/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/screencapture-saarmagazine-nl-ik-wil-zeggen-tegen-vrouwen-die-wel-kinderen-hebben-2023-12-04-15_02_59.png
We’re already usng WP super cache.
And I also tried the Newspaper Mobile Theme, but the same problem appears. I hope you can help me!
That was amazing !! Thank you 🙂
I need a little more help I’m using InsightAI prebuilt single page /Post template. Sometimes featured images load way too big here is the screenshot of the zoomed out version https://ibb.co/RThL7w6
How do I keep it short or fixed size irrespective of the size of an image I upload as a featured image?
