Hi DamianSiecz,
The pagespeed do not depends only by the theme, there are a lot of elements, like page elements, external resources…
As I see on your website, there are no theme problems, but maybe you can optimize better the pagespeed for your website:

Hi,
my website experiences a high value of cumulative layout shift. The entire website (homepage, post pages, etc.) shifts first a bit to the right then to the left (to the original position) while loading. This is causing a high value of cumulative layout shift in the google pagespeed test. How can I fix this problem? I checked another website that also uses the newspaper theme and that website has the same shifting problem.
I want an element to be opened when the page scrolls down. (For Google Pagespeed) How can I do this?
Make this field visible when you scroll down the page. -> https://prnt.sc/25ytlad
Is this possible?
Hi,
I just checked your website and this is now loading faster, I think that you have now set a cache. If you want to check some pagespeed indications, you can check our guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
About generate critical css, from what is see in the screen that you provided seems to be some js problems. It can be because a plugin conflict, if you want, you can make a test only with tagDiv plugins, the problem should no longer persist. In case that the problem persists, please let me know.
Thank you!
Hi,
1. I see, unfortunately, for the moment there is no option to disable the mobile theme from the woocommerce pages, sorry! The only solution that is see is to disable the mobile theme plugin or use it only for amp and for pagespeed you can use a mobile page template -> https://i.imgur.com/NEwAMx8.png
2. Yes, the mobile theme will apply a simple design to make the content faster, please make a test, disable the plugin and check with responsive version and in case that you need pagespeed just use the mobile page template.
3. According to our guide when you are using the mobile theme plugin the pages content need to be created using the mobile editor only -> https://i.imgur.com/l1UARk4.png
Thank you!
There is this link https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/ where I see a lot in here.
So the author @amit-2 says, “The current mobile theme version does not support both, Newsletter and Multipurpose plugins. So, it is a good idea to remove these scripts being loaded by these plugins.”
I would like to know if this is still the case or you have updated the mobile theme plugin without these scripts? If not can we also remove TagDiv Composer scripts on mobile?
Thanks
The code he provides is
// Remove Multi Purpose Style
add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'infophilic_remove_multi_purpose', 20 );
function infophilic_remove_multi_purpose() {
wp_dequeue_style( 'td-plugin-multi-purpose' );
}
// Remove Newsletter Style
add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'infophilic_remove_newsletter', 20 );
function infophilic_remove_newsletter() {
wp_dequeue_style( 'td-plugin-newsletter' );
}

Some factors which you need to take into account are:
External factors: server speed, if you are using CDN or not, the external resources loaded by your website like ads, fonts, tracking scripts like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Twitter analytics, Hotjar and so on.
Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, if you are using mobile optimized layouts, console errors, if you are using the Standard Pack plugin on not, if you are using PRO demo or a standard one. So, we recommend to use for mobile the responsive version: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/issue-with-lcp/
Hope that helps you!

Hello Ashish Kumar Mishra!
This issue about Web Stories has been discussed already in this topic, please check: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/web-stories-conflict-with-newspaper-in-web-stories-titles/
However, page loading speed can depend on many factors, and each website is unique from this point of view. Let me explain some of these factors and maybe they give you some starting points for optimizing your website.

Hello @netclick!
Good grades. For the page speed I can only suggest you some guides. However, page loading speed can depend on many factors, and each website is unique from this point of view. Let me explain some of these factors and maybe they give you some starting points for optimizing your website.
External factors: server speed, if you are using CDN or not, the external resources loaded by your website like ads, fonts, tracking scripts like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Twitter analytics, Hotjar and so on.

So, we recommend to use for mobile the responsive version: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/issue-with-lcp/
A responsive version of your website is looking similar like on desktop, edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB ; there you can see your mobile version and you can edit the elements there.
Our developers are working a lot to improve the page speed in every update.
Also, to increase the page speed you can check these similar topics for more solutions:

The mobile pages are fully customizable and could be so different than desktop version, so you should build and assign them to each desktop page you need. If you do not build for every page, then for the rest of the pages you’ll have the responsive version of your desktop automatically.
Thank you!
Hello @newsng!
The issue can be from a plugin conflict or a cache issue, that’s why, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache (also from your browser) and try again.

Resources are blocking the first paint of your page. Consider delivering critical JS/CSS inline and deferring all non-critical JS/styles.

Hi,
For the moment the dark mode switcher can be added only with plugin, here is a list of plugins that you can try:https://www.wpexplorer.com/dark-mode-plugins/
About the problem with DOM, it can be from the big number of elements, what you can do is to try the steps from this guide:
-> https://www.corewebvitals.io/pagespeed/fix-avoid-excessive-dom-size-lighthouse
I hope will help you!
Hi,
I do not know exactly why it is taken that thumb size in pagespeed test, but, on the page is load the correct one, therefore, should not be problem.
Thank you!
The very slow loading of this morning seems to have been resolved. I got a message on trying to update a plugin that said no connection could be made to the database. Is/was this a Newspaper problem?
This aside, I am surprised, given the simplicity of my installation and the claims of Newspaper’s publicity to find appalling performance scores when I use PageSpeed Insights – https://pagespeed.web.dev/report?url=https%3A%2F%2Fjazzjournal.co.uk%2F
Are the problems they describe a result of Newspaper coding?
Thanks
Mark
Interesting. You are right, that I can see in my browser correct image size. However, page speed check downloads incorrect image size. https://snipboard.io/smK0kw.jpg
see report
Probably not a big deal (?)
Hi.
My site’s pagespeed mobile is really low. I make all changes indicated in this guide but have not had good results.

After purchasing the theme I am not seeing any improvements in PageSpeed. I tried many tips and tricks after discussing with your team but it was of no use, Kindly provide the solution.
Awaiting your reply.
Hello Pawan!
The settings from Theme panel are useful for the default templates. If you have the latest update of the theme and your settings from the theme panel are missing and you use default templates, then please make sure you have Standard pack plugin installed and active (Newspaper -> Plugins).

Let me explain you which options of mobile versions are:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website is looking similar like on desktop, edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB ; there you can see your mobile version and you can edit the elements there.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/
If you use Mobile theme plugin, then you can not edit the pages with TagDiv Composer.
You have only some settings for this layout, which you can find in Theme panel -> Mobile Theme.
