Hey there. Just wanted to confirm a couple of things:

1) Is there any method to use an external shortcode with TD composer? I’d like to test one of the SportsPress shortcodes on a page, but there doesn’t appear to be any means to do so.

2) Is there any means to insert a posts loop in the editor for a CPT single post? I’d like to pull in posts matching a specific tag.

Hello! Is there any way to create a filter with a date range in a category template? Example: I would like to create the possibility for the reader to filter posts from the ‘Sports’ category by a certain date range (with start / end date of publication). I tried using flex-loop-filters on the category template, but it doesn’t seem to solve this issue.

You could probably make a custom widget that does a loop call to post bunch of stories based on “today” date, and put that on right side of all posts to reheat “one year old” items. Personally I don’t have need for this, and don’t want to have one year old article about a music festival fight in SERPS for the article about THIS YEAR’s event.

Hi Alastair Dixon, indeed this behavior is related to the “flex loop builder block” so to resolve this situation you’ll need to replace it with posts loop or post loop 2 element, but not flex loop elemnts.
Thank you!

A little more context:

I have a category page listing all posts in that category (let’s call it the ‘tips’ category)

I’m using normal numbered pagination but the theme is adding <link rel=”next” href=”https://www.website.com/tips/page/2/”> – When actually the hyperlinks on the next or numbered pagination buttons take the format of: https://www.website.com/tips/?tdb-loop-page=2

So this is really not good good in terms of SEO because paginated pages should be linked to with regular links to allow users to click and navigate to the next page in the series. They also allow Google to crawl from page to page, and PageRank to flow between pages in the series.

The advice coming from Screaming frog to fix this issue is:
Ensure paginated URLs are linked to within tags. This will allow them to be crawled and indexed, and pass PageRank onto any URLs they link to.

Hello,

I am trying to edit Newsmag theme files through FTP and also WordPress > Appearance > Theme file Editor however changes are not reflecting in the front-end.

The main reason I want to update the theme files is that I want to integrate another plugin called s2Member – which allows me to bar blog posts for registered users – basically viewers have to register (for free) first before they can read the blog.

I’m specifically editing the file loop-single.php to add required php functions from s2Member plugin for it to work properly, however the changes seems to not reflect. I have already turned off/removed WP Cache but still no to avail.

Please advise, thank you.

Hi,

The posts loop block has the pagination for number if you want to have
https://forum.tagdiv.com/posts-loop/ -> https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/single/author/Author/2640
A workaround is to set the subtitle in the excerpt section https://i.imgur.com/SogpdEY.png , which is displayed on the block.

Thank you!

Thank you Ana Maria!
Can I use another filter like sort by older or newer posts? I saw the loop filter element but when I use it only obtained a blank page as a result.
Cheers from Argentina!

Hello!

I can’t access your links because it says 403 Forbidden.
Please check the “Multi” option for the first item there in the tagdiv Composer settings and try again.
I’ve tested the flex loop filters with the flex loop shortcode too in the latest update of the theme, and it is working well.
1. The option “Hide empty terms” will hide the items or categories without posts.
2. It should work well. Try with the slug “category” and check if it is working too on your end.
3. It is working well on the latest update of the theme.
So, the issue is on your end. Please deactivate all plugins except tagDiv ones. Also, if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache, and try again.

Let me know the results!

Thank you!

Hello,

The bottom margin value is 0, which is exactly how it was configured – https://monosnap.com/file/rwXSV6ERqRTM6EEfCTDbnpglRGFzpg

The top margin value in the Posts Loop block is also 0 – https://monosnap.com/file/fQtOikOvd5lHRNiqIxl2kRgxkeKMqv

Cache cleared in browser and cloudflare.

The result is the same – https://monosnap.com/file/lujM0TN5FRj7tPCpscktd5qNghCRt5

Thank you!

Hi Calin,

In addition to the previously reported bug with the Webp option in theme panel, I have found another bug.

Environment:

1. Theme version: 12.6.6

2. Webp format is generated by Ewww Image Optimizer as per your guide. – All images become Webp and all are lazyloaded.

4. For CWV / speed, we must disable lazyload for the first image (in the first flex or any block / logo is text). For this we use define( ‘EIO_LAZY_FOLD’, 1 ); in wp-config as per Ewww’s guide – under Exclude Images header.

5. The result is that the first image on the page converts to Web but is not lazyload – so this is correct. The Theme’s option Use Webp Format is meant to show this first image in Webp, because it exists on the server.

Issue:

The theme stops using the webp file for the first image when any caching system is on. This includes the “Cache block results” option on the block, WP super cache as per your guide.

How to test:

1. Make sure you have caching enabled – WP super cache as per your guide. Also can enable “Cache block results” on the actual block.

2. If you are logged-in, you will see a webp. If you are logged out – the theme will also be showing webp for some time, but a little later – once the cache is generated – the theme will start showing jpg (despite having webp on the server).

– I have tested this on various websites and demo sites. On the dev sites that do not have caching, there is no problems.

(!) As previously discussed, this post is only for Calin.

Other TD team members, please do not respond.

Thank you.

Dear Tagdiv Support Team,

I am currently experiencing a few issues with the Flex Loop elements in the tagDiv Composer. Below are the details of the problems I am encountering:

Issue 1: Filters Redirect to Archive Page

When selecting a filter on a page using Flex Loop elements in tagDiv Composer, it redirects to an archive page instead of updating the content dynamically on the same page. This issue occurs when the ‘multiple’ setting is disabled. We need the filters to work without redirecting, updating the results dynamically on the same page.

Issue 2: Show Terms Count Displays Zero After Filter Selection

With the “Show terms count” option enabled, the correct number of terms is initially displayed. However, after selecting a filter, the term counts for other filters are incorrectly updated to zero, even though there are still relevant posts available. This misleads users into thinking there are no posts under the remaining filters.

Issue 3: Hide Empty Terms Causes Filters to Disappear

When the “Hide empty terms” option is enabled, selecting a filter causes the other filters to disappear because they are incorrectly updated to show zero posts. This results in an incomplete filter set, as all non-relevant terms are hidden, causing confusion for users.

I have noticed these issues also occur in your Cloud Template (jobhunt_pro Jobs) that I have imported. I have already consulted the documentation, but the problems persist.

I would greatly appreciate any guidance or solutions you can provide to resolve these issues. Thank you for your time and support.

Best regards,

Rozemarijn

Hi Calin,

Can you please check.

1. Theme version: 12.6.6

2. Webp format is generated by Ewww Image Optimizer as per your guide. But Lazy Load is disabled.

3. Theme Panel >> Block Settings >> Thumbs on Moduls/Blocks >> Use Webp Format enabled.

Issue: The system applies the Use Webp Forma option to Flex blocks, but does not seem to be applying it to the Posts Loop block. It still loads jpg instead of Webp.

(!) As previously discussed, this post is only for Calin.

Other TD team members, please do not respond.

Thank you.

Does anyone know how to create a one-row post loop with pagination? I would like 3 posts per row with a total of 9 posts but can’t seem to figure this out.

As the subject, this problem only appear in 12.6.6: Post Loop module give error when Offset posts >= total posts count of the site.

Now we can save any Offset posts number in TagDiv composer (no checking of total post#), while the page & TagDiv composer cannot be accessed again with below error if Offset posts >= total posts count of the site:
Error at zones: 6(models) : 0(dom). The model does not match the content Current state has involved an issue

We have to manually clean the offset value in code format of the page to make the page & TagDiv composer accessible again. [tdb_loop offset=””]

Please fix the bugs as it’s useful for designing stage of new sites, thank you.

Hi,

Please edit the search page with the tagdiv Composer, click on the results(Posts Loop element) and delete the value of the offset posts. Let it empty with no space no value: https://app.screencast.com/Gh9jDf6t0XtLS
Save the changes and view the results.

I hope that helps you!

Hi, don’t need to edit the main file, need to clone it to assign to a specific category (e.g., say category 99), presuming the classic method of naming a template file by the category number, or adding a hook to do that in functions? E.g., adding a new template option for posts like ‘post-wide.php’ and then function to add that as new template drop down.

Probably I need to make single_template_99.php and loop-single-99.php then register those as a function.

Hello,

I recommend using flex block builder, and there you can set a limit on how many posts you can show on the block -> https://prnt.sc/lUKEBOAgbNGd -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/modules-builder-newspaper-theme/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-builder-flex-loop-builder/
