Hello AdamAL,

First of all, please make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme with the latest version of required plugins (Newspaper 7.4 with Visual Composer 4.12.1 and Social Counter 4.1) in order to achieve best results. Also, if you are using some untested plugins, please try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches, purge CDN files, clear all your server cache (and if you do not have any access in this regard, please request this to the hosting provider to clear all of these) if you are using the CDN system and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.

For your latest problem, please try to regenerate all your thumbnails using this guide -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Hello,

Please use this guide first and regenerate all thumbs: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
If the problem is still there please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it.

Thank you!

Hello,

If the system status was not the cause of it please also try it without any plugins. Disable all of theme except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it.
If the problem is still there, please regenerate all thumbs using the “force regenerate” plugin
Another possible fix is adding "SetEnv MAGICK_THREAD_LIMIT 1" to the htaccess file.

Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!

Hello,

thanks for the template. But I’m with three problems. I need to change the size of the thumbnails, and I need them square. How can I do that? I tried but with no success. I don’t want to fake change it via css, I wanted to regenerate all of them.

Also, I wanted another help. I want to disable those excerpts below the titles in home and categories page. It breaks all the layout of what really is inside the posts.

And third, something special. Can you please give me some help on how can I delete the main classes of the contents that I won’t use in the style.css? The file is too big, and I saw several classes that I probably won’t use, but I’m not sure how to find them and delete safely. I’m using the News Magazine in Newspaper, and I’m only using the default home page, the style 2 post template, and category style 7. If you could give me a light I would appreciate very much. If you want to check, it’s http://www.hitsebeats.com

Hi

I’ve checked your site and noticed that you’re using photon module from Jetpack plugin. This module i known for creating issues with our theme so try to deactivate it, clear all caches then test the site again. Also try to regenerate your thumbnails following this link: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Let us know how it goes and if the problem persist please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login credentials and we will inspect this issue as soon as possible, also include a link to this topic.

You need to regenerate your thumbnails becasue Newspaper 7 use different sizes for images then V4. Please follow this guide and regenerate the thumbs: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Theme’s layout has been changed and the style for footer is different now. You ca set the background color from theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/JTxIQsXM7SH Also the widgets from footer can be set under Appearance: http://screencast.com/t/685PYiqf

Hope this helps!

Hello Jenkis-80,

As I can see when looking to your images, I guess that you do not use the thumbnails for your photos, right? Please notice that if you are using our Blocks for displaying your posts, you will have to check your Theme Panel to be activated all the thumbs which are used by these Blocks, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/VZEf0KPL and then you will have to use the Thumbnail Regenerate for good results.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,
I don’t know what happens with my theme, but when I’m uploading new image it’s not creating any thumbnails sizes.
it’s only create 1 file with the original size of the image.
also when I tried to Regenerate Thumbnails with “Regenerate Thumbnails” plugins, it doesn’t do anything.
when I use inspect element on the thumbnail images on my theme, the img src is without the size in the end.

any ideas ?

thanks.

Hi,

I’m having some issues with the Mobile Theme Plugin, it doesn’t work. I’ve installed the latest version of your plugin (1.0) and then i set the settings but none of them works. To make matters worse even the images does not works.
That’s what i’ve tried to do: disable the cache, use regenerate thumbnails and re-instal the mobile theme plugin.
Here are the screenshot from mobile and PC:

Hi,

I’m pretty sure the ‘force regenerate’ plugin will remove any unused thumbnails but I have not tested it myself.

Yes Torgut… we both have same problem.. I tried 3 times with clean wordpress installation without any optimization plugin like you did. (actually with no any plugin). this problem comes with theme.. photos are very important for my web site (travel blog) so i want to use my own settings..

Again.. Someone please i need help.. (it seems WE need help)

Ps: To find solution,

1) i tried Image Regenerate, image sizes panel, simple image size, and kind of media library management plugin.. but it didnt help..
2) I changed td_wp_booster_functions like tagdiv said before in somewhere… but it didnt help..
3) I created new media size like 850×0 and make it available in post screen… but it didnt help (it automatically turn 640px again..
4) I tried to change ratio scale of image which fit my images.. but it didnt help stil 640px..

my codding knowledge is very poor.. but i believe that newspaper codders can find solution for this..

Im adding this message to my post also

Hello, thanks for your fast response.

If I disable all thumb sizes from the theme and then regenerate, are all the thumbs that were created be deleted leaving only the original images that were uploaded? And if this is possible, which image regenerate plugin would you recommend me for this matter?

It would be more effective for my case if I localy create from each image that I’m using as featured the four or five sizes that the theme requires and add them manualy to each post’s folder after cleaning all those thumbnails that were automatically created.

The most important part is to automatically delete all the thumbs that were created, leaving only the original images that werer uploaded by me.

Thank you!

HI

I’ve checked your site and noticed that you”re not using Newsmag theme: http://screencast.com/t/FelRNjqD Please make sure that update the theme according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ Also try to regenerate your thumbnails following this link: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/ clear all caches then test again.

Let us know how it goes!
Thanks!

Hello
If you use a video you must first set the post as a video post format: http://screencast.com/t/dEBXAxAvq, then paste the youtube, vimeo, dailymotion or facebook(only newspaper 7.3) video link in the featured video designated spot: http://screencast.com/t/KEasLE2x4lj
The theme will then automatically grab the featured image thumb from the video itself.
If you switched themes and did not regenerate thumbnail I recommend you do now using the force regenerate plugin.
Thank you!

Hi

Please make sure that you update the theme according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ also try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches, purge cdn files if you’re using then test the site again. If the photo is still not displayed properly try to regenerate your thumbnails and test the site again: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/

Let us know how it goes and if you still need assistance on this please provide your site url and more specific details about your issue and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks!

hello,

Our theme will crop images to best fit the proportion of the container. in your case images get cropped too much because the images are too wide. Our system will corp images center-top so if an image is too wide or too high, the cropping will be more visible. Please add a bit of white space to your wider images so the aspect ratio is closer to the thumb size. Here is a list of thumb sizes used by our theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
The module size is 100×70 while your image is 220×52 (just an example)
You cannot make it fit inside those dimensions without cutting the image.
Please add a bit of white space above and bellow images in a photo editor to make them closer to the aspect ratio of the thumb so they will not get cut-off and then use the force regenerate plugin to regenerate your thumbs.

Thank you!

HI

Yes it could be a cache issue so try to clear all caches then test the page again. If the problem persist try to regenerate the shortcode for playlist using Visual COmposer and check how it goes. You can also try to use the shortcode on a new test page as there is no cache and it should display the right title.

Thanks!

HI

Please check if the images from our demo were imported in media library: http://screencast.com/t/oj278niaz9mp If the images are there try to use Force Regenerate Thumbnails plugin to regenerate the thumbs. If the images are not imported contact your host provider and ask him if there are any restrictions set on your server, also make sure that the parameters from system status have the values indicated in our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Let us know how it goes and if the problem persist please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login credentials and we will inspect this issue as soon as possible, also include a link to this topic.
