Hello,

A solution could be to use the unique article option, follow this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/unique-articles/
This option automatically removes duplicate posts from the page.
Also, you can apply different filters on the Blocks. https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/

Thank you!

I’ve got 2 websites running Newspaper with Woocommerce. I want breadcrumbs to show on posts but not on pages. I can’t find the setting at all to remove them.

I’ve seen the help article here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/breadcrumbs/

But for my sites the breadcrumbs don’t show up as something you can select within the editor. I think that article itself is outdated because even the setting in the Theme Panel has been removed in later versions of Newspaper. Like I can’t find Breadcrumbs in the theme panel at all.

For a look at the sites, they are here:

thanks, you’re trying to help, but the logo ones were solved before the start of this post (see in 1st post: but I have check “exlude H1 tag from logo”, including on phone version)

I had 2xH1 as Anamaria noticed, the first coming from a title that I can not find (and that exact text is not exactly the name of that page, neither the one in general setting of wordpress. And the 2nd was coming from a voluntary placed H1 in a textbox
So until I can find and edit the first, I have removed the 2nd
So where is this tagdiv title ?

about the bug, this is a different topic, and maybe I should not have mentioned it here

Hello Calin,

I’m writing jus for my passion and am not interested to earn also. So I don’t have staging server kinds of options.

As I mentioned before, I have deleted Post Revisions plugin and planning to remove two more plugins.

Once I have completed it, then will try again with PHP 8. If I’m facing the problem again and will come to you.

If possible, let me know how to proceed.

If PHP 7.4 will be supported for a longer period then I will stay with this version since without PHP 8 itself my site is superfast.

In the meantime, the issue may be solved by plugins or Hostgator 🙂 . The only thing I wanted was to get the benefits of PHP 8.

My site address is https://www.giriblog.com, and I am using WP Rocket which is an amazing result.

I’m using a shared server only not a powerful server like VPS but with Newspaper theme and WP rocket helped me to get a fantastic score.

The Newspaper and WP rocket performance is too good. Once all issues are settled, will write about it so others also will get the benefit.

Thank you

Hello,

1. You need to change the name of the category in Posts -> Categories, or if you want to display posts from another category, then you can filter the block on that category https://imgur.com/Nnt3zGX
2. You can remove the block with right-click, and to add the ads you can use the ad box element.
The ad box has 3 sections for ads: using theme panel ads -> https://i.imgur.com/KFa9ibl.png, using images/banners -> https://i.imgur.com/MfAPTaE.png and custom code -> https://i.imgur.com/2rh8SuD.png save it and will appear on the post (you can set a shortcode like a shortcode from adrotate plugin or other plugins)

Hi,

You can use the offset option for that https://forum.tagdiv.com/offset-feature/

If multiple blocks use the same filter and sort, then they will display the same posts. But using the offset option you can make for example the second block skip a set number of posts, which are displayed the previous block. And so on for the following blocks.

Regarding the category tag, where exactly don’t you want them to be displayed?
There is a setting for example that removed the category tag in the post page and in the category page https://i.imgur.com/Ngzi5oX.png The setting is per category.

In modules/blocks, there are these settings https://i.imgur.com/HhXqaVF.png
So if you don’t want category tags in a specific block, you can disable them.

Let me know if you have more questions, or if perhaps I misunderstood what you want to do.

Thank you!

Hello @cashflow270!

Here you can remove/set a picture for mobile menu background: https://www.screencast.com/t/x3Xrln2b88x
And the background color here: https://www.screencast.com/t/PbU3hQpDqHh

If you use the mobile theme plugin, then check the settings in the theme panel -> mobile theme -> mobile menu/search background and theme panel -> mobile theme -> theme colors -> mobile menu.

We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:

1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. Edit the page with TagDiv Composer. Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB; there you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.

2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages

3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and design for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.

A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY

You can choose to use whichever one is more affordable and useful for you.

For the option 1 and 2, you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin.

Thank you!

Hello,

I am finding your banner ads hidden all over my website with the theme I installed, this is extremely annoying and frustrating to say the least. We are a live company with live content and having your ads default embedded everywhere requiring me to manual remove on them on a page by page basis in the tagdiv cloud editor is a total joke!

How do I globally find and remove all the ads embedded into a theme I PAID FOR!?

Screenshot of the latest offender: https://www.screencast.com/t/XlrBz4jyllMl

I’ve found larger banners on the header of post templates, category template, author template, it never ends.

How do I globally remove your litter from my website?

You recently added the very valuable “Duplicate” option to the edit options available on the WordPress dashboard Page options – seen when you hover the cursor over a page title in the Page listing :-

Edit with TagDiv Composer | Edit | Quick Edit | Bin | Preview | Duplicate

However, I would like to remove this option, as I use Yoast Duplicate Post. Can this be safely done, if only by using my child theme functions.php or similar?

(The reason is due to the greater number of duplicate options available in the Yeost plugin, most importantly, preserving the parent-child relationship and adding a prefix to the title to indicate it is a duplicate.)

Thanks!

Interesting. I have been breaking my head for the last 16 hours trying to solve exactly this problem. Finally, I logged into the forum to find this being discussed.

What you said works perfectly for all mobile templates such as home, tag, search, and page templates. It does not work only in the category mobile template. So I don’t think I am doing anything wrong.

I tried deleting all category templates for desktop as well as mobile and recreate them.
Even then, it simply refuses to apply the mobile theme. Actually, it applies some parts (such as limit post numbers in the post loop) but refuses to remove the flex blocks inserted earlier in the template. Looks like some shortcodes, once created, do not get deleted in category mobile template.

I used Magazine PRO templates to start with and modified them for my website, if that helps.

Hello,

If you have the “more from author” and “Related Articles” in a tab like this -> https://i.imgur.com/ZuIs8Y1.png then you are using standard -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-default-templates/ therefore in theme is only one option that disables both options -> https://i.imgur.com/M8bUmQu.png if you want to keep those templates the only way to remove the “more from author” tab is to use a custom CSS like this one:

.single .td-related-right{ display: none; }

Set the code in Theme Panel ->Custom code -> Custom CSS
Hope this helps you!

Thank you!

Hello,

I published a new post on my blog. However, I came across several issues.
1. I have ads turned off in my theme panel however, I had to remove them manually from the post page using the Tagdiv Composer. When I did:
https://snipboard.io/IZsX0E.jpg
The post stayed like this. The content is not wide enough. I want to push the most popular suggestions further to the left and spread out make my images and content on a wider area.
Link: https://wirefray.com/kaiju-no-8-anime-announced/

2. The article when suggested on my homepage does not display any image. How do I fix this.
Link: https://wirefray.com/

3. My mobile page breaks down very often and becomes like the following:
https://snipboard.io/oR8tDJ.jpg
How do I permanently fix this? This happens very often but gets fixed automatically for some reason. I keep seeing this inconsistency in your theme.

I am really sorry to say this but I am really disappointed with the user experience so far. I keep encountering problems like this over and over again. I had to reinstall my WordPress quite I few times because I failed to implement AMP with your theme. I faced this same problem with my mobile page over and over again then too.

4. I want to permanently remove all of your own promotional ads from my website. How do I do it?

Thank you for your time.
Regards.

You have set there the home as homepage and the News as posts page (blog), and yes the settings are ok. but Like I said, the posts page (blog) can be edited only with the theme panel options. As an work around you can remove the news page from posts page, then adjust it with the tagDiv Composer and set it as a normal page blog in menu.
Like I said the Newsmag do not have cloud templates, so the categories can be adjusted only with the theme panel settings.

For widget question:

” If you are using the same sidebar for all pages and posts, then all you need to do is to add the widget in that sidebar, then set that sidebar as global for posts and pages.
On pages if you are using the theme builder, then you can set the block and filter using the theme builder for the latest posts, or you can add the widget element -> https://i.imgur.com/XdrffJv.jpg or you can set the sidebar and latest articles using this option -> https://i.imgur.com/pbt97aI.png”

Hello,

You can remove the comment section from Single Post Template, edit with tagDiv Composer => https://www.screencast.com/t/4VoyAOlzgd6, select the element Single Post Comments and with right-click you can delete or selecting the element and with drag & drop place into the deleting red zone from the bottom right of the page.
You can set the ads in Single Post Template from tagDiv Cloud Library and you can set top ad, 3 inline ads set after x paragraphs and bottom ad, please check this article -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/article-ads/ and video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=biTpVVlr8j8

Ok , I managed to progress a bit. One of the errors when trying to install tag-div composer was that the folder already existed. Since it was unresponsive to activation / removal via wordpress platform, i removed the tag-div folder from the wp-plugins folder; reinstalled the plugin and did manage to activate it!

Now , the website more or less returned to the original state however, there are still 2 issues.

1 – the home page no longer displays a slider with the featured image of each recently posted articles
2 – if you click on an article the page right hand side of there is some code spit out
( couldnt attach image but link to example article below )

Hi,
I would like to remove the click link to the post for Big Grid Flex, the advantage is to have random display of images from different posts without actually having the posts.
True there are image modules but there is no random display.
I think a simple onclick disable function in the class could be a solution
Thanks

maybe in class pointer-events: none

Hi,
If the tags are removed from the cloud template, you will still be able to ad tags in the post (in backend) only that those will not be displayed for users, practically is the same like when you hide the element but is consuming less resources because the element is no longer need to be loaded.
Now if you want to hide the element, then you can do it using the tagDiv Composer, select the element and in css tab you’ll see an option to display the element, set that on hidden -> https://i.imgur.com/AGYVgBJ.png
Thank you!

Hi, we are having trouble with the website performance operating on a large database.

Our structure is on AWS and we have separate services: for the WordPress a 2 core, 4GB RAM EC2 operating with Nginx and PHP7.4. And for the database, initially a 8 core, 32GB RAM RDS.

We have around ~310.000 posts and we use tagDiv builder on most pages for the loops.

Taking a closer look to how the builder works and call the posts, we manage to remove the “SELECT SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS” WordPress does on all queries by adding the “no_found_rows” parameter everywhere there is no needed for pagination.

Since that, we manage to reduce the database to a 4 core 16 GB RAM, but it is still bigger than we expected.

All is fine with the EC2, but the RDS is suffering.

Are there more optimizations we can do?

The website in question is: http://jornaldebeltrao.com.br/
