1. Do you have the WP Bakery plugin activated? if yes, please deactivate it.

I’m using the Newspaper Default Pro theme for my website, http://www.sydneyfocus.com, and I’ve encountered an issue with the homepage layout that I need help resolving.
Issue Description:
On my homepage, there are several sections with headings like “Don’t Miss,” “House Design,” “WRX RACING” etc., which are automatically populated with articles and are completely irrelevant to the categories and tags I have set up. They are nowhere to be found in the Bluehost categories/tags I’ve created, The articles displayed under these headings are often mislabeled or not relevant to the heading itself. For example, an article about local bushfires appears under “Make it Modern,” which is misleading and inappropriate.
What I Need help with:
I’m looking to adjust these sections so that they either display the correct articles relevant to their headings or remove/change these headings to better reflect the content being displayed.
What I’ve Tried:
-I’ve checked and correctly categorized my posts.
-I’ve explored the theme settings, including Template Settings, Block Settings, and Post Settings, but haven’t found a way to adjust these specific homepage sections.
-The categories are well-curated, and the issue seems to be with how the homepage pulls and displays these articles.
My Question:
How can I modify these specific sections/headings on my homepage to ensure they display the correct content? Is there a setting in the Newspaper Default Pro theme that allows me to control which articles appear under these headings, or a way to customize these headings to align with the content displayed?
Any guidance, tips, or step-by-step instructions would be greatly appreciated, as I’m relatively new to this theme and want to ensure my site is as user-friendly and accurate as possible.

If you use a single cloud template, then you can edit it with the TagDiv Composer and remove the date element from there. 1. For this you should use the column text or text with title, those are using the wp editor from wordpress and you can set links on text.

I started with Classic demo theme without media. I want to create post without sidebar but I couldn’t find a way to remove it completely. There’s a block in sidebar column that cannot be removed. So I implemented pre-design template from cloud library, https://cloud.tagdiv.com/spa-and-wellness-resorts-are-amazing-for-your-health/. In editor mode, I can see pictures in envira gallery block but when preview or publish it-there’s no content but it did show up when use original template.

I want to include a comment section on my single posts, with the commenting function only, and not showing the reviews & starts as these are already covered via my WP recipe maker plugin.
In tagdiv editor, there is no option to de-activate the reviews part.
Further, where would I be able to edit the standard text elements of the comment box, as I want to replace the standard wording?

Those custom css are no longer working because the classes are now a little different.
You can try this custom css:
.tdb_single_featured_image {
display:none;
}
or
.category-video .tdb_single_featured_image{
display:none;
}
Also, this situation appears because the image/vide is set in post content and this is also set in featured image element, if you want you can use the tagDiv Composer and just remove the Single Post Featured Image to see if this is what you need. – https://i.imgur.com/5qrEciX.png

Hi there,
We have a video category where the post consists just of the video and the video time length and source. For the longest time we were using the old Black theme and the tagdiv standard pack but a few days ago switched to the Black Pro and uninstalled the tagdiv standard pack. Site is a lot faster and looks great but the one issue we are having on the video pages is that the video gets displayed but also the featured image.
The page is setup in the composer with Single Post Featured Image on top which works great if it’s a image or video. And underneath is the single post content which again displays a duplicate image. (haven’t figured out to how to post the content without the image) I’ve been racking my brain on how to remove the featured image and just have the video and content. (normal post page is setup with only 1 element so no issues there)
With the Black theme in the past, we used the following code and it worked great for the videos category:

}
But it no longer works and i’ve tried tons of combinations and am obviously missing something. Any help would be appreciated as i’ve spent tons of time trying to figure this out. I did just notice if i remove .category-videos then it works but on every category which can work if I create and adjust 2 separate templates (1 for posts and 1 for videos category) but would still like to see if the original simple way could work.

I have created various CPT through functions.php (not via plugin).
Everything works fine apart from the POSTS. (default WP post type)
What’s missing from the POSTS are the custom fields. (Post Settings, Featured Video, Featured Audio)
The plugins I have installed are:
- tagDiv Cloud Library
- tagDiv Composer
- tagDiv Newsletter
- Contact Form 7
- Under Construction
I have checked Under Construction for conflict (by deactivate) already but there aren’t any.
p.s. If I remove my code (the above) then the custom fields are appear as normal in POST.

If you are referring to this – https://i.imgur.com/PvCpUPk.png then it can be done using the theme panel settings for standard templates – https://i.imgur.com/43YGPB8.png for a single poste template from cloud you need to edit that cloud template using tagDiv Composer and use the right click on elements you want to remove.

Hello tagdiv support. I am asking for something specific here please read
I’m having such a hard time removing this malware. My hosting company removed it one time, apparently via editing the database, but it has come back. They have removed it again, but they said it is only a matter of time till the issue re-surfaces.
I am running into many issues; I will mentioned three of them:
(1) Updating my version of Newspaper breaks my site; (2) updating td-composer with a newer version is apparently not possible without updating Newspaper, and (3) I tried running the SQL query mentioned by mmorselli somewhere on these pages and got nothing but errors
I am sure I am speaking for a lot of Newspaper users when I request the following:
(A) A patch, please. If these problems are due to a vulnerability in your plugin, why not release a patch? Perhaps a temporary plugin that just cleans it up?
(B) In the short term, if a patch is not forthcoming, can you please provide a version of td-composer that removes the vulnerability and can be installed on older versions of Newspaper?
(C) If no patch, can you please provide a removal guide FOR DUMMIES with simple to understand steps. Perusing many posts on these forums where people say different things has not worked out for me.

I had previously posted on the forum regarding some issues after the 12.6 theme update. Could solve mostly everything:
a) Mega Menu did not work with the Ultimate Member plugin after the update. For now, I removed it but would like to understand if you recommend any other alt plugin (I really liked Ultimate Member)
b) For some reason, Rocket Loader was enabled on Cloudflare — disabling that made the shortcodes in the Column text visible again.
c) What am unable to solve is the Header Live Search — it takes a while to show me the options . Also, when I hit the search button without any query — I see all the drafts đ [even in a non logged in mode] Please help me with this!
I would like to know how to remove links from post tags, and where else they appear.
For me, it is not interesting to have an outgoing link for a tag.

No sorry that threat doesn’t apply. We already use a plug-in, and further, it works for all other posts. It is only this one post that is sharing a “tag” from the article, instead of the article itself: https://rareparenting.com/valerian-and-seizures/. Please click one of the share buttons to see the problem. I actually removed that tag “sodium valproate” and it’s still sharing that tag anyway, instead of the article. Something wrong is happening on the back-end. Thanks!
