Newspaper Theme is a complex theme since it can offer so much customization. Depending on how everyone sets up their website that will increase its size. Also this depends of posts, content, images, etc.

That is why we put so much accent first of all on the requirements because 95% of the issues are caused by low requirements or plugins.

Normal there should be no problems if there is not something interfering with the theme settings or database.
Also when this is happened what you can try is to use the “THEME PANEL SETTINGS BACKUP” -> https://i.imgur.com/m03x5Qt.png -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/
As an advice, try to check all of your used plugins, and also, if you have some untested plugins, remove all of these and leave just to active only the required theme plugins. Make sure that your system status parameters are correctly increased and ensure that your dedicated server is met the minimum theme requirements from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

Hi contacto Ehecatl, please make sure that you are using last theme version Newspaper v10.3.7 and you have set all the theme requirements as in our guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
If the problem is still persisting, also is possible to have some plugins that are not compatible with our theme and creates this problem, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv plugins (theme plugins), also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

Hi NBlack, so this problem is happen all the time even if you have set all the theme requirements and use only tagdiv plugins ? Also when this problem appear is using more CPU ? if is then, please try the steps from this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/a-few-tips-for-newspaper-x-speed-high-cpu-usage-issues/
Also that 500 about REST-API is an error ? If is so then those errors are internal server errors, you’ll need to make some investigations, below are some links that hope it will help you:
