Hello,
I am using the Sports Demo from Newspaper.
For some reason, when I tried to replace the demo YouYube video ID with new ones, they seem to not work.
No thumbnail or preview is available.
Could you please help me fix this issue?
Thanks 🙂
Do you want to tell me that a theme like this doesn’t have a css code to reduce the preview height?
Hi,
I’m sorry, I didn’t want to upset or underestimate you, I apologize.
I think this was an isolated case and the problems appear only in some circumstance, I’ve made some more investigations and for me the social sharing are displaying normal -> https://i.imgur.com/hALVwOK.png if you want you can check our online demos from here -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/select_demo/select_demo_newsmag?utm_source=live_preview&utm_medium=click&utm_campaign=demos&utm_content=NM_demos_button#demos
Thank you for your understanding and sorry for the inconvenience!

Hello,
When we preview a draft document the see the following problems:
– missing the side bar widgets
(the space for the sidebar is there but the side bar does not show up, nor is the sidebar <div> present in the HTML code when inspected).
– images do not show (but their code is present in the HTML)
– shortcodes fail to process/render
– Browser window sizes below 750px all images are center justified regardless of settings
-
All of the theme requirements are met per system status panel in theme settings.
All plugins deactivated except TagDiv plugins and problems still persists.
We do not use the flex blocks, so that work around will not work for us.
Suggestions?
How can I reduce the height of the preview image?
I would like to reduce it only for desktop mode and not mobile if possible.
I use style 6

Why my post preview is looking like this? https://ibb.co/CWtLBh2
One of my other website is also using Newspaper theme and in that the preview is like this: https://ibb.co/XpksJVz which is correct, matching the site’s theme.
Thanks Calin, maybe when I see the preview it doesn’t show me the modal td, with version 9.8 I could also see it from the backend. Maybe when I put the site online it will work. Thanks for your help

After the latest newspaper update, I can’t preview a draft post. My host tells me this is the issue:

Hello team!
I have experienced two different problems after the last update.
1. It is impossible to reply a comment. You can create new comment but can not reply to existing. For example https://borchaninov.com/poluchit-prava-v-tailande
2. Then i try to preview unpublished page it shows something like mobile theme with a message in the bottom of a page like Critical error. This not affected pages that already published. Only with preview.
Could you please advice what to do? Especially with the first one.
Thanks in advance!
Hi ! Thanks for the help.
I already did what you told me to do but the changes I made is not showing on my front end.

Hi, yesterday I updated the theme to 10.2 and when I preview a post the post is shown like I am looking it from a tablet or mobile. At the bottom there is this error message:

Hello!
I disabled the schema article as you said, Vlad. It works fine now. I encountered the problem when I clicked on preview on a not published post.
Thank you,

Hi,
I updated the theme with the latest update and today I tried to create a new post. When I preview the post I get the following message about Fatal error. Please help.
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function format() on boolean in /home2/qzj6hn7y/public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/common/wp_booster/td_module_single_base.php:672 Stack trace: #0 /home2/qzj6hn7y/public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-standard-pack/Newspaper/parts/single/loop-single-3.php(32): td_module_single_base->get_item_scope_meta() #1 /home2/qzj6hn7y/public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-standard-pack/Newspaper/parts/single/single_template_3.php(58): require_once(‘/home2/qzj6hn7y…’) #2 /home2/qzj6hn7y/public_html/wp-includes/template-loader.php(98): include(‘/home2/qzj6hn7y…’) #3 /home2/qzj6hn7y/public_html/wp-blog-header.php(19): require_once(‘/home2/qzj6hn7y…’) #4 /home2/qzj6hn7y/public_html/index.php(17): require(‘/home2/qzj6hn7y…’) #5 {main} thrown in /home2/qzj6hn7y/public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/common/wp_booster/td_module_single_base.php on line 672
There has been a critical error on your website.
I had this same problem, and it pointed to the Composer, but it was actually a conflict with the Clearfy plugin when you choose to optimize HTML and turn off xml-rpc. I do not know why xml-rpc is needed for previewing URLs but that’s what I found out. Hope that helps.
Hello. I have experienced the same problem after update to 10.2. But this problem affected only previewed pages (that not published yet). Please help!
Hello,
Since the latest update, the tagDiv Composer plugin seems to be breaking our website preview URL. We deactivated all the plugins and only reactivated tagDiv Composer and the issue came back. It can be seen here:
https://www.victoriabuzz.com/?p=76602&preview=1&_ppp=6a2ed5948b
Any suggestions to fix? Thanks!
This is the error message we see on the test website:

I want remove green column from my Home page
I see it inline id:review but i know how can remove it from your home page Newspaper theme. Please help me remove it.
That is the solution:
// datePublished
$td_article_date_unix = get_post_datetime( $this->post, ‘date’, ‘gmt’ );
if ($td_article_date_unix)
$buffy .= ‘<meta itemprop=”datePublished” content=”‘ . $td_article_date_unix->format( DATE_W3C ) . ‘”>’;
// dateModified – local time
$td_article_modified_date_unix = get_post_datetime( $this->post, ‘modified’, ‘gmt’ );
if ($td_article_modified_date_unix)
$buffy .= ‘<meta itemprop=”dateModified” content=”‘ . $td_article_modified_date_unix->format( DATE_W3C ) . ‘”>’;
lines: 670 – 678.
Function get_post_datetime returns false when post’s datetime is not set (that’s why this error occurs only in preview mode). And then you call format() method on boolean value: $td_article_date_unix->format.
Please fix it in next release.
