Hi,
Please make sure you have the correct thumbnails selected in the theme panel here: http://screencast.com/t/ewU8dkgV7pX If your thumbnail is deactivated from here, then it will not show up.
After you enable it, please follow this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Thanks.
Strange issue.
It is not possible to create new page.
All the rest works fine.
Hi
I’ve checked your site and noticed that the thumbs are not properly generated: http://screencast.com/t/b6bntwqieDHI Try to regenerate your thumbnails following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/ clear all caches then test again.
Also you can increase images quality by changing the compression rate of wp. Here you can find more details in this regard: https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/fix-jpeg-compression/ Note that if you change the compressing you also have to regenerate the thumbs so the changes take effect.
Thanks!
Hi,
Please follow this topic to see how you can fix it:

Thanks.
Hi,
The posts can be filtered in the big grid slide just like the ones on a normal big grid by using the block setting: http://screencast.com/t/n8SsKjabSK
The images not fitting inside the container is a whole different matter. Your images need to be at least the size of the container for them to fit properly as the theme does not enlarge the images. It only crops them. if the images are big enough, then you need to follow this guide to fix the images inside the container: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Thank you!
Hi, there!!
I have issue related to https and http.
1) I have hosted my website on godaddy. I do not have SSL or HTTPS enbled on my server. And my website is not opening up. it shows that “connection is not secure”. Although, i am able to see front-end part but i am not able to open my back-end(admin) part. when i try to open admin panel it shows me the error “connection is not secure”.
Now strange point is:
2) I have another hosting server with bluehost which only works on http. there is no https or SSL enbled. But in that hosting i am fully able to open both part(front-end and back-end) of my website.
Question:1) why i am facing this problem?
2) should i buy SSL certification to solve this problem??
3) does newspaper theme works fine for both protocol??
I hope i would get suitable help to solve this issue.
Awaiting for the right solution.
Thank you.
Hi,
My mobile menu with icons is displaying strangely (using the mobile theme and default responsive display). I’ve tried removing all custom CSS code and cleared caching, etc. but the problem persists.
Basically, any main menu item that has sub-menu children, displays the icon above the text (screen shot below).
Also, all the sub-men items are misaligned as shown here:
Can you think of anything that would be causing this?
Thanks,
John
Hi,
Please try to uninstall it or install a different demo and reinstall the dark theme.
the corrupted icons you see are because of CDN and fonts loading from another source. Please follow this topic to fix them: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/
Thank you!
Hi Guys. Still running into issues with social icons. Have followed all advice. Icons appear fine in Chrome but not in Firefox
Second issue Envato Toolkit is not providing any theme auto updates. All permissions and API Keys set
Hi,
@wildmercury the back-end changes if you activate the mobile theme as on pages there will be an extra mce editor for the mobile theme page. You can edit this page but not with visual composer. That is why you have the “strange” changes in tehe back-end because there are 2 editors now. One for desktop and one for mobile. If you deactivate the mobile theme, the second editor will be gone.
As for the social counter, please make sure you have version 4.0 installed and then follow this guide to properly set it up: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/
@eddycom Something might have gone wrong with the installation of the theme or the update. Please remove the theme altogether via ftp and access your wp-admin without the theme and see if there is still an error. Then install the theme following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Thank you!
Hi there,
both plugins, autoptimize and Above The Fold Optimization damage the new version 7. i had to deactivate them, otherwise there would be a strange behaviour of my site (showed a kind of mobile menu on desktop or some code before showing the page). Do you know abaout this behaviour, do you have a workaround or a hint, how to get manage this?
Beste Grüße, Frank
Hi Bogdan,
Thanks for following up. We’ve done the whole remove & reset all plugins thing – all working now in the back end so long as we activate and then deactivate the mobile theme, then the VC works as expected, but the order of elements on the admin page/post editor is all strange (ie the VC is pushed down the page, moving items like ‘page layout options’ and ‘homepage latest articles’ to the top of the page.
On the front end, we have the social counter at zero still (http://naturallyzimbabwean.com/) and we no longer have a unit without the cache refreshed to test/check whether the mobile menu is still showing on chrome. We haven’t had any comments from users yet today.
Thanks, Tim
That seems strange to me because the image URLs would have never changed. Also, sometimes they do load correctly and sometimes they don’t. I am getting a few errors:
http://i0.wp.com/shortshift.co/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Twin-Cities-Auto-Show-2016-Short-Shift-61.jpg?resize=80%2C60 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 504 (Gateway Timeout)
and
(index):454 WebSocket connection to ‘wss://public-api.wordpress.com/pinghub/wpcom/me/newest-note-data’ failed: Error during WebSocket handshake: Unexpected response code: 403
Nothing changed except for updating the theme and WordPress.

Hello jyoswave,
Usually, this kind of error appears when using CDN or loading fonts from a different source. Please try to use this solution and take a look at this: http://screencast.com/t/AMjW530CSH6 and this: http://screencast.com/t/dLjEUGGwQUZ
The solution to this issue is simple. You will need to add some code to your .htaccess file like this post suggests: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for the message!

Hi,
We are not sure whether this solution will work or not, but concerning the allow origin, we always recomended this solution in the htaccess file that does the trick: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/

Hi, I am also experiencing the same problem, despite not making any changes to the site all of a sudden when I try and make a tweak to the Theme panel and press save I get the same issue as above, just stuck and nothing happens!
I’ve upped the memory as stated in here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ but I am not experienced enough to start playing around with php.ini files etc… do we know if the above issue was resolved by creating this, seems strange when the theme was working fine before.
Also for the record I disabled all plugins and still the problem persisted.
thanks for your help
Paul
Hi,
You are facing the CDN issue when fonts are loaded from another source. Please follow this topic to fix it:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/
Thank you!
Hi,
The ‘bumb’ on our forums has the opposite effect. It only delays your answer as it moves the topic to more recent ones and we answer from oldest to newest.
If you have the strange Chinese symbols display instead of the search, you can use this method to fix it: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/
The search file can be found here in the theme root folder and is called search.php.
Thank you!
