I did a recent update to WordPress 4.5, and then followed suit with NewsMag (using the Envato Toolkit).
I’m finding something very strange —
VC doesn’t seem to load when I go to edit a page; it has a ‘loading’ circle icon, but then when it finally loads, nothing happens —

When I create a new page, it sort of loads – but clicking ‘add text’, or ‘add element’ (and subsequently clicking any element) doesn’t result in anything.

or have I stumbled on a new problem?

Sidebars have a different issue altogether. WordPress will strip sidebars of content if you use any strange symbols or language specific characters in the widget titles. Pleas use only standard characters and no symbols in thew widget titles as they will not be seen on the front-end. Also please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files as plugin conflicts can also create this type of issue.

This is a strange issue as we have no reports of such problems. We will need to inspect this so we can figure out where the problem comes from. Based on a screenshot there is only so much I can provide. Please try to move your localhost to a sub-domain on your server (http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-move-wordpress-from-local-server-to-live-site/) and then send us login details via email at contact@tagdiv.com so we can login and inspect the block and see why this is happening.

I said the problem was happening in my local installation because it is there that I have upgraded to the latest WordPress version, 6.7.1 of the theme and 4.11.2 of visual composer. It doesn’t happen on my website because I haven’t upgraded yet. With reference to my website, I have the thumbnails selected. In fact I have all of them selected, even though I don’t need all of them.
What it is happening on my local installation is that when I install version 4.11.2 of visual composer, block 8 goes all strange: (a) thumbnails don’t fill the container; and (b) the whole block moves to the right. See the attachment at http://screencast.com/t/MrHrYGOo
It cannot be a plugin conflict because I don’t have any, except VC. When I go back to the previous version of VC, block 8 rectifies itself. And all my photos are big as well. So there is a conflict somewhere between the theme and VC.

Alright, seems like these are the only possible pagination possibilites. Would be great to have a normal pagination to be implement in future updates, since its really a Standard possibility to paginate posts, and it must be easy to put this back in.
Also another strange issue is when using pages with “latest articles and pagination”, there, it is not possible to use the Ajax Filter with Tags for example, which, doesnt make sense at all also. Its just feedback and a feature request, thanks!

I have gone through the same steps one more time and have made sure that I only delete the part you marked in the screencast, no div tags.
The result (on my end) is the same. There is additional space above the breadcrumbs:

Strangely enough this does not happen with the other method that you have described (hiding the pulldown with CSS – which doesn’t work properly with Chrome as the pulldown is visible for a fraction of a second).

Try your site with www. in front of it and without. In one version this hapens because the fonts are not loaded from the same source and they get replaced with these symbols. The issue is resolved like the method shown here:

I have another problem this time it’s connected with VC and smart list. In post i want to make TOP 10 list, so i decide to use Smart List, which is included in theme. But strange thig is that first point look good, but others are completly borkem like you can see below on pictures.

The strange thing is, Visual Composer says I have to pay for it. I have, so therefore can’t update.

This doesn’t work either. The plugin is called “Sportspress” by ThemeBoy – its strange that the players all appear fine on all other themes I use the plugin with but its trying to open a lightbox whenever any of the players photos are clicked – but it doesn’t even find a picture when the lightbox opens. It seems like it might be a little glitch with the theme.

1) The theme will use the image sizes as best it can, but if you plan on useng the images with a biger container than 620 * 300 then the images will not display properly. You should use a thumbnail regenerate plugin like this guide shows: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
and if you cannot update bigger images, use the thumbnail upscale plugin and regenerate thumbs after activation.

I did everything exactly as you said. But I still have the problem. What it is strange is that as you saw in my screencast, some icones are, some not. It’s hard not to have the thumbnail.. I can understand if I’m alone having this problem it’s hard for you to update or do something, but, for me it still handicape me.

There is no option in the theme to remove the gradient, but it can be done with a css trick.
It can be removed with this custom css:

Hi,
The theme will pull the thumbnail created for the featured image and in the size specified in the code (not the ones from wordpress settings).
Unfortunately this is how our themes crop images (center-top).
You can find and edit the thumbnails in the upload folder on your server.
However, replacing the thumbnail for every image is not a viable solution. The best thing to do is create a new custom thumbnail for your block as Andrei suggested above. You can use the theme api system shown here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/api-thumbnail-introduction/

Hi,
I am experiencing a strange issue. One of my pages display perfect on desktops and on android devices, but not in apple devices. Some images don’t show, its showing just a small square instead. I have to images added on a text block, one shows, one not. And I have a tag Div Slide Gallery with 21 pics added but i just can see 3 oh them. I really don’t know what to do. Should I rebuild the page from zero or anything to do with iphone cache ?

Please try to set your smart lists according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-lists/ (for smart lists we recommend to use single template style 5 for posts for avoiding the duplicate images).
Another possibility, in this case, would be ->
Duplicate images on smart lists usually are the result of using the Photon feature of the Jetpack. If you use this feature please disable it as it is known to cause issues with our theme.
If the problem is still there, please try to disable all plugins except visual composer and clear your cache as other plugins could also conflict with the smart lists. Also, if you are using “strange” characters (!@#$%^&*/”- etc) in ALT tag, the image will be twice. I have added this issue to our list of fixes and in next major updates will solve this problem. Until we will fix this issue, please try to remove these kinds of symbols in ATL tag for better results.
