Hello/Salutare,
We prefer to use English so other users can benefit from our answers provided here on the forum.
This could be a memory limit issue in which case we recommend following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Please try to check your system status in the theme panel and try to get all these options green: http://screencast.com/t/J0xBVSmva
Thank you!
Hello,
Please try to get the system status parameters ‘green’ by using this guide here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Also please check your permission on the folder/wp-content/uploads . Also you can check from media library and try to upload an image, if it works that means that the permission are correct. If not you can use the c-panel to change permissions (set them to 777) if you have access to it or if not please contact your hosting provider.
Another cause may be the traffic, each operation has a time limit, at certain hours the traffic may be high and while the theme tries to download the images the operation exceeds the allocated time and a 404 or timeout error may be returned.
Thank you!

Hello,
You can increase the maximum size that can be uploaded: http://screencast.com/t/xWphFY0aC
Please use this tutorial to increase size limitations: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
We recommend getting all the options green in the system status. You can follow the tutorial to increase the other parameters as well. Once you increase the maximum upload size you can add the gif to your post as any other image and it will display fine
Thanks.
Hello,
This is a strange issue. We had no reports of settings being reset by themselves. The theme does not reset your settings. it does not have any code that does that (some people even requested this but there is no such option)
This indicates a glitch somewhere. maybe a plugin conflict. It could be a number of things. What you can do is check if you meet the requirements and have the system status parameters set correctly:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You can check your system status in the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/bM1nbYsDWuST
I hope this helps
Thank you!
Hello,
I have updated the Theme to 6.6 and
the tagDiv Social Counter with that version.
The follower counts on Twitter and Instagram are OK but in the Facebook it shows 39 followers and there should be 979.
I have gone into the Theme panel and social networking and made sure anitasfeast is in the Facebook line and saved the changes.
I still get a number in the Facebook Like line that is in error.
Can you please tell me what else I should check to get the proper number of Likes in Facebook.
Below is the System Status
Theme config
Theme name Newspaper
Theme version 6.6
Theme database version 6.6
Theme aurora version 1.1
php.ini configuration
Server software Apache
PHP Version 5.6.15
post_max_size 128M – You cannot upload images, themes and plugins that have a size bigger than this value. To see how you can change this please check our guide here.
max_execution_time 120
max_input_vars 1000 – the max_input_vars should be bigger than 2000, otherwise it can cause incomplete saves in the menu panel in WordPress. To see how you can change this please check our guide here.
SUHOSIN installed false
WordPress and plugins
WP Home URL http://www.anitasfeast.com/blog
WP Site URL http://www.anitasfeast.com/blog
WP version 4.3.1
WP multisite enabled No
WP Language en_US
WP Memory Limit 512 MB/request
WP_DEBUG False
Caching plugin WP super cache – for best performance please check the plugin configuration guide here.
Hi
Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, to be sure that this issue is not caused by a plugin, clear all caches and test again. Also check the values from system status: http://screencast.com/t/Wxky4KDu
max_input_vars should be above 2000 and max_execution_time should be 300.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks!
Here’s the other info:
Please increase these parameters here: http://screencast.com/t/ZaAo4DGj using this tutorial: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Hello,
If you do not have access to the php.ini file you will need to contact your hosting provider if you need to access it.
As for the .htaccess code, you can find it here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hi
The theme code was tested and optimized for best performance, we have a lot of clients and the theme works well on a large variety of hosts.
First please make sure that you use the recommended server configuration for Newsmag theme, you can check our documentation for more details: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/
There are lots of factors that influence the site’s page-sped. I suggest you first try this without any other plugins active, leave just VC plugin active the check again.
To improve your server response time you can try to reduce the number of queries (fewer plugins, fewer blocks on page, reduce the elements which use ajax requests/pagination like mega menus/load more/infinite load), also consider using a cache plugin, we recommend the WP super cache plugin with the following configuration: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ To improve the loading speed look the mysql query cache: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/query-cache.html we also use it on our demo.
Also you can use the speed booster to move the js and css at the bottom of the page, eliminate render-blocking, but not for all plugins. Check the System Status if the speed booster is active if you use other plugins than the tested ones. You can find some useful information regrading speed booster usage in this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/speed-booster-questions/
Also you can read this guide, it may help – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Thanks!
Hello,
Try with an image from another file, another image altogether. Upload one from your desktop and check the url again.
Try the issue without plugins as well to rule out a plugin conflict. Then you can check to see if you meet the newspaper requirements: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
And please check the system status: http://screencast.com/t/YCirf6bqUFI Try to get all these options green by following this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Let us know if the problem is still there afterwards.
Thank you!
Hi,
I have checked your website again and saw that the system status parameters are not set accordingly. Please increase these parameters here: http://screencast.com/t/ZaAo4DGj using this tutorial: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thanks.
Hey guys,
after updating to version 6.5.1, the google pagespeed is now at 57/100.
Before it was at 78/100.
Doesn’t matter which plugin for speedoptimization i use, the speed stays at 57/100.
Of course i tried thetagdiv speed plugin, but this doesn’t work. In the System status of newspaper theme, it says it’s incompatible with every other plugins i have installed.
I already uninstalled wp super cache and the speed stays at 57/100.
Don’t know what to do?
Hello,
Please make sure you meet the newspaper requirements: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
And please check the system status: http://screencast.com/t/YCirf6bqUFI Try to get all these options green by following this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You can also contact your hosting provider and report the problem to rule out any server-side issues.
Let us know if the problem is still there afterwards.
Thank you!
Hi
Thanks @Chris for the suggestions.
@gojira68 sorry for the delay, we somehow missed your post.
In addition at @Chris’s suggestions you could also try do deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test again. Some plugins may consumes lots of resources so you can enable them one by one and check if this issue appears again. Also try using a plugin like WP Super Cache for cache and check the values from system status: http://screencast.com/t/M7ehnoxZ
max_execution_time should be at 300 and max_input_vars should be above 2000.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!
Hello,
You can try to check your system status and see if the options there are within the recommended parameters (they should be green): http://screencast.com/t/ZuwtasWUh
If your values need to be increased you can follow this topic to adjust them: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/image-error-and-status/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You can also check if you meet the system requirements for our theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
You can also try to rename your widgets. The widget area only accepts the basic characters. No symbols or language specific letters. Try to change your titles to just plain text and check if the issue is still there.
You can also try it on a different browser to rule out browser related issues as well.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hi
First step in this process is to get the files ids so please follow this link: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ At point 5 are explained the steps you need to take in this regard.
After you get the ids edit the td-speed-booster.php file (located in /your-wp-install/\wp-content\plugins\td-speed-booster) and add this lines of codes like here:
– for css files: http://screencast.com/t/GiBcnLERoj
– for js files: http://screencast.com/t/GAWqy0Bb6gE
Note that the Speed Booster plugin disable itself when an incompatible plugin it’s installed. We added this measure to avoid conflicts with the plugins that won’t allow to move their css/js resources at page bottom. Check in System status if the plugin is active: http://screencast.com/t/slBN4kNf To keep it always activated comment or delete the indicated lines from td-speed-booster.php: http://screencast.com/t/RZLIOPUNdqh You can check this topic for more information about sped booster usage: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/speed-booster-questions/
Hope this help.
Thanks!
Hi
There are lots of factors that influence the site’s page-sped. I’ve checked your site with PageSpeed Insights tool and noticed that you have a slow server response time and lots of css/js resources which also slow the page load: http://screencast.com/t/zbHS570RMiK
To improve your server response time you can try to reduce the number of queries (fewer plugins, fewer blocks on page, reduce the elements which use ajax requests/pagination like mega menus/load more/infinite load), also consider using a cache plugin and to improve the loading speed look the mysql query cache: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/query-cache.html We also use it on our demo.
Thanks!
In change log in 2.3.1,there is a new item “http channel test status” in system status panel.
And the status is “Not runned yet”
Is there any way to let it run?
Thanks
Hi,
I’ve been in touch with my host and they said that my memory limit is 164M but when I look at the System Status it’s 40, see: http://take.ms/i7Ihz
What could be the problem?
Hello Natalia,
You can try 2 things in order to fix this. The firs one is to check your system status and see if the options there are within the recommended parameters (they should be green): http://screencast.com/t/ZuwtasWUh
If your values need to be increased you can follow this topic to adjust them: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/image-error-and-status/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Another thing you can try is to check your sidebar titles. If you have any “special letters” there it will cause these errors. The widget area only accepts the basic characters. No symbols or language specific letters. Try to change your titles to just plain text and check if the issue is still there.
Let us know.
Thank you!
Hello,
My site is; frelsitv.com
I get this error in System Status;
Speed Booster v4.1 – Disabled – incompatible plugin detected: adrotate-pro/adrotate.php
I just upgraded Adrotate-pro 3.17.2.
Please help.
Hi
I’ve test this on my side and the translate works fine: http://screencast.com/t/BRAmvvBd – http://screencast.com/t/POSbpe6lf73X
If you translate another word, it works? Also try to make different changes in theme panel, and see if the this error appear when you save the settings. Check in browser console if there are any errors while you save the settings, usually it displays a 403 or 404 error.
Make sure that the directives from system status: http://screencast.com/t/3Nv4Hrv6 have the proper values, max_execution_time at least at 300 and the max_input_vars should be bigger than 2000. Those values are set in php.ini file so try to access it but note that some hosts may restrict the access at this file, if you don’t have access to it contact your host provider and let him know about this situation.
Hope this help.
Thanks!
Hello,
If you ruled out the plugins conflict, please check your system status: http://screencast.com/t/rzWVVw88cA
Try to get all these option green. You can follow this guide to do it: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You can also check the newspaper requirements to see if you meet them: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
If the problem is still there after, you can try your widgets on a default WordPress theme so we can rule out WordPress as well.
Let me know how it goes.
Thank you.
