Hi tagdiv team,
We have been receiving 508 server error – resources limit reached on a regular basis. The Apache server the website is hosted on has 2GB of RAM, the memory limit is set to 128M, max memory limit is set to 256M, max execution time is 1500, max input vars 2000, PHP version is version 7.4, MySQL version 5.6.43, and everything but the caching plugin (which is yellow because we are using W3TC because wp super cache was breaking our home page) is green in the Newspaper system status page.
Despite all of the above and after collaborating with the hosting company, we are still getting server 508 errors, and by that I mean at least once every 3 or 4 days. Other times this can happen as often as twice or thrice in a day. Usually this happens when there is an editor (logged in user) creating new content (posts) and the number of concurrent visitors is over 100 on average.
We have followed your guide as found here ( https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ ) and are already considering upgrading to a better hosting plan, but are interested in ruling out possible mis-configurations with the theme itself. We are also considering using the heartbeat control plugin ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/heartbeat-control/ ) and would like to hear your input on this; do you believe it could make things any better with regards to the server load caused by the logged in editors?
We have seen in other but similar forum posts you are occasionally offering wp-admin-level and server-back-end-level support by being contacted at the contact@tagdiv.com email of yours, with a reference to the thread and login credentials. We are wondering whether this might be an option in our case also, as we have been puzzled for a long time with the repeating issue we are experiencing.
Otherwise, please share any other insight we might be overlooking. Like some theme setting which may be overloading the server and which is not absolutely necessary for the theme to run.
Please get back to us as soon as possible. We are eagerly looking forward to hearing from you.
Thank you.
Hello,
I tried to update my theme to the latest version but when installing plugins TD composer install failed. I tried to do that manually i get this message while uploading .zip file: “The link you followed has expired.”
In checking system status, i found that some PHP values need to be increased. My host support team did that but i still get a ‘PHP Memory Limit need to be increased to 128 mb) even if it is already done.
I’ve deactivated plugins excepts tagdiv plugins, deleted the cache using a cache plugin but nothing has changing.
Your help will be appreciated
Regards
I can’t install prebuilt website (with or without content). I always get alert my server is not properly configured.
I also can’t install any tagDiv plugins (except manually) and can’t connect to Cloud Library.
I have checked System status and everything is green. I have edited PHP configuration on host server and every single value is even much higher than recommended.
Wordpress ver. 5.6
Newspaper ver. 10.3.9.1
Hi,
First, ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme, the system status parameters are correctly increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/, clear all the caches and check the results. Try to resave your permalinks and check after the results.
If you can’t resolve, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel or FTP if possible.
We will take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Thank you!

admin.php?page=td_system_status
in
admin.php?page=td_system_status&reset_registration=1
And try after that to activate the theme.
