You need to add links where the # symbol is currently. WP Bakery Page Builder was replaced in version 8 of Newspaper.
I would use text view and drop those links in manually but it might be time to upgrade to a later version of the theme and get TD composer running. The principle will be the same.

I switched my site from http to https. After that images are not displayed anymore. The images adresses are correctly moved to the new https adress and they are also correctly shown in the article editor as well as in the TD Composer. They are just missing in the frontend. But, for instance, I can right-click there and have every option, as if the image were displayed: I can download it or open the pictures URL, where its also displayed correctly.

Updated to 8.7 yesterday and before that all elements and functions were working properly. After updating, most of the tdcomposer style features not visible, just the code.
I just updated the td composer from the new update and it gave me a http 500 fatal error. I thought if I updated it before the 8.7 update that might help. Nope.
Ever since the rewrite with 8.5 I have been having grief with every update. Very frustrating.
Have you updated the td composer and td multipurpose plugins with those that came with the theme version 8.7? You will have to delete the ones you have in your site and install the updated ones afresh.

Have you disabled td composer or td multipurpose plugins? You have to activate them for the error to go away. If you updated the theme to 8.7, delete the two plugins WordPress>Plugins and then install those that came with the theme.

@vamsinani24 the tagdiv team does not work on weekends. So we’ll have to wait until Monday. @kadmael my site works well with the updated td composer that cam with the theme version 8.7 on php 7.1. @Christian12 you should consider updating your php version to 7.0 or newer version coz v5.6 is no longer supported.
How do I remove the author name from the TD composer element “Homepage post”?

After attempting to update to the latest version of the theme, I couldn’t access my wordpress dashboard. The page was completely blank, even after restarting my computer and logging in again.
I discussed with my hosting company who created a backup and then disabled the td composer plugin, which allowed me to access the dashboard again.
I was able to re-install the 8.6 version of the theme to restore functionality, however I’m now missing unpublished posts, images, and css code that has been added over the last couple of weeks.
The hosting company tried restoring the backup they created after I had the issue, but the content is still missing.
I just wanted to check if you have any suggestions for restoring the content I’ve lost?
And do you think the loss of content would have occurred due to the installation of the updated version of the Newspaper theme? Or something the hosting company did when trying to regain dashboard access?

To @vamsinani24 No it won’t solve the problem : I’m with php 7.1 and I can’t install the td-composer plugin on a fresh new WP-install (pb with the header apparently)
If i open for example home page in my wordpress dashboard I can’t see the blocks to edit in visual composer or any other backend editor. I only see the text. Js_composer also installed.
Having the same problem with latest update for the TD composer plugin. Blank home page. Please fix asap. This problem effecting our blog.
One would think that when the developers of a theme are shown that their update is slowing down users sites, they would work on coding of the update to fix this rather than tell the paying customers they need to make tweaks themselves.
The Newspaper support team is really handling this update TD Composer mess badly and doing more work to lose customers than keep them.
Sadly, the support team we’re paying for told me that there’s no issues at all with TD Composer or the upgrade and it’s all of our problem.
After using this theme for so many years and paying for support all that time, I was really frustrated that when you actually do need to use the support it blames you rather than the product.

The new Newspaper Theme version 8.7 has serious issues. 1. It doesn’t load TD Composer on the default install and, more seriously 2. If I manually install TD Composer from the ZIP file it kills the Admin Dashboard (only a white screen). I have to uninstall the theme.
Installed Newspaper 8.7 theme from scratch. I just bought it yesterday.
Had to manually install td-composer plugin.
After activating td-composer plugin I lose access to wp-admin. I only get blank pages.
How do I fix this?
If this cannot get fixed soon I want a full refund.

It has not to deal with the php version (I have PHP Version 7.1.13 on my host) neither with others plugins (I just uploaded the theme on a fresh new WP and have no other plugins from TagDiv on it). It’s just that there is a pb with TD Composer (look at the forum ; many meet with issues).

I too upgraded to 8.7. I use both WP Bakery and TD Composer. The site worked fine from the front end, but the entire dashboard was gone… nothing but a white screen. Only by deactivating TD-Composer were we able to get into the back end of the website.
