Follow up comment to my earlier post. I notice in the code that it includes references to visual composer (i.e., wpb-js-composer js-comp-ver-5.1.1 vc_responsive td-animation-stack-type0), but on my product and shop page, I am not using visual composer. Just the native WordPress interface for page creation. I wonder if there is some sort of conflict where it’s calling on Visual Composer but it’s rendering a standard WordPress page (?). Open to suggestions.
cheers
Hi team,
I am having the same problem as above. In short, my single product page and shop page have lost their left margins and are all over the place. They were working fine but out of the blue appear to have gone to sh*t virtually overnight. I just updated to WordPress 4.8 but not sure if that’s a culprit.
In reviewing your post above, I still appear to have the correct code on the product page which is similar to your example. See below.
<head>
<body class=”product-template-default single single-product postid-7643 woocommerce woocommerce-page website-review global-block-template-1 wpb-js-composer js-comp-ver-5.1.1 vc_responsive td-animation-stack-type0 td-full-layout td-js-loaded” itemscope=”itemscope” itemtype=”http://schema.org/WebPage”>
I turned off all plugins except for Visual Composer and WooCommerce and the problem still exists. I tried a different theme which did appear to resolve the issue. When I go back to Newspaper 8, the problem returns. So there appears to be an issue between the theme and WooCommerce. I also updated to WP 4.8 which plausibly could have contributed.
I’m quite experienced with WordPress after nearly a decade of using it, but this one has me stumped and frustrated. Would welcome any help you can provide.
Thanks guys 🙂
OK, I made it creating a new sidebar via homepage editing, then I added the Tag Cloud widget to that sidebar. Then I added the sidebar widget via TD Composer on the right. I hope that this process is ok 🙂
Thank you,
M.

Dear TagDiv Customer Support,
I would like to add Tag Cloud (classic one from WordPress widgets) on my homepage, based on Newspaper 8 and TagDiv Composer.
I’m not able to do it, the only thing that i can do is to add Tag Cloud widget to Newspaper default or Footer 1,2,3 sidebars, but I don’t want to do it in this way.
I would like to use TD Composer to add Tag Cloud on the right, only in the homepage.
Can you help me please?
Thank you very much,
Best Regards,
M.
I tried what you suggested but diidn’t resolve the problem.
Now I made this test:
– I create a new page
– Insert only a text with title element
– Save the page and exit from TDcomposer
– I open the preview in wordpress and the page has lost formatting
– I re open TDcomposer and it show me “the current content page hasn’t been created by TagDiv Composer!”
Maybe a problem of theme’s templates setting?
Hi folks, congrats on the newest update and the TD composer, really like it. I’ve taken it as an opportunity to redesign the homepage of https://badgergp.com/.
When looking at the page code, there are still multiple references to VC – I created this as a new TD page, if I turn off VC will it still work?
Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I am using only TD composer. Because it is recommended by tagDiv. 😉
I am not sure where the layer normally should appear? I cannot find in the tutorials.
So, I will check it without any plugin and let you know.
Regards,
Bert

Hello bert.deelman,
Please keep in mind that you cannot use the TD Composer to edit a page which was created with Visual Composer and vice versa, sorry! The homepage/page should have to be created only with TD Composer and further you will have to edit it only with this page builder. Before creating/edition your pages, ensure that you have enabled only one-page builder. Both plugins, if active, do not work well.
If the problem is still there and if you are not using any other untested plugins which might interact with the theme core files and cause a lot of problems, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer your setup page. Provide there the link to this topic so we can quickly identify you.
Thanks for your understanding!
Switching from Visual Composer to the tagDiv Composer was fairly quick and easy, but there are a few things missing that were available in VC:
– Button
– Call to Action
– WP Tag cloud
Perhaps I missed those in the new TDC?
If they are indeed not available, do you plan to add them to TDC and when?
Thanks!
Hey,
I followed these steps and rebuilt the entire site (unzipping wp-content from a NewsMag page and putting in the database to a new install, then disabling all plugins except page builder, installing NewsPaper 8, installing updated page builder, installing updated td_composer, then following memory parameters guide for wp-config and .htaccess changes).
There was no caching on the WordPress site but I cleared my browser cache.
I still have the same issue. I can tell that at least the max_upload_size did successfully change to 50mb because I can see this on the media upload page.
Anything else I could do to troubleshoot? Potential issues: it’s a large site (13gb tar.gz for wp-content and 300mb MySQL database), and previously is on NewsMag.
Thanks!
Joey
Edit: This is all without installing or activating the child theme.

Hi
I updated to Newspaper 8 and installed tagdiv composer. When I tried to use VC after that it has stoppe dshowing up in the backend and gives me this message ‘You have an outdated version of Visual Composer Design Options. It is required to review and save it.’
I have the latest version of VC (licensed) 5.1.1 and have tried to follow advice elsewhere on the forum but to no avail.
Is this a known issue and can you point in the right direction to fix it.
Also, can you confirm I can still use VC with ver. 8
Thanks
Daragh
Hi,
I could not give you exact information about what will happen in the future updates. You can keep using Visual composer for the moment. There is no rush to make the transition to the new page editor. I believe there will be a notification when Visual composer will no longer be supported, giving you enough time to make a decision. Future updates will also add new features and options only for the tagDiv composer.
In this topic Chris provides advice about how one should make the transition to the new pages, and substitute them without any losses

Thanks
Hi,
I did not update with FTP. Just using the import from WP it selfs. What is the difference? The theme is working like a charm. The TD composer also, but I cannot save because of the layer, see my snap. I am not using VC. So why the link to switch over form TB to VC? I need no transition document.
System status is check, all green. Beside of max_input_vars. I asked my provider if it can be increment.
Regards,
Bert
Hello bert.deelman,
First of all, ensure that you have right installed the theme via FTP way and then check your system status to be according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ For more information about TD Composer and the transitions between our builder and Visual Composer, please check the following topic here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Thanks for the message!
Hello kalabakos,
I have tried to add 3 columns on my side with TD-Composer and everything seems to work as expected, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/4aw8j0csCY and the result is here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/lAtibrqoB
If the problem is not this, provide more details about this case, give me your website so I can check it and also, some useful screenshots so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thanks for the message!
Hello Adadavi07,
If the page was created with the Visual Composer, you should edit the page with this plugin and if it was created with TD Composer you should edit it with our builder. For more information about the transitions between these page builders, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for the message!
Hello simonetelelombardia,
Yes, it is possible. After you have made your page with TD Composer on front-end, you should go to the back-end and there you will see the generated shortcodes for your page, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/FoRWr9jDR3be So, if you want to make a similar page, you simply copy and paste this code to another created page and you will see the same layout, just like at Visual Composer.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
All it takes is a bit of patience. Ass you can see in the top right corner, we had a few days off so we got hung up on too many requests. We always post special announcements or days off in the top right corner: https://www.screencast.com/t/3na0dTdqR
First please disable all plugins except the tagdiv composer, clear cahce and rest cdn files. Then test it again. If the problem is still there then please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to your site and wp-admin so we can login and investigate the issue.
Thank you!
Hello Valadim,
Notice that the pages which were created with Visual Composer cannot be edited with TD Composer and vice versa, sorry! You should choose a single page builder between these because the theme will not work as expected if the both builders are enabled, sorry! For more information about TD Composer and the transitions between these builders, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
P.S If you do not like our page builder, you can use the VC Composer. Do not worry but notice that in the future we will release some features which will be exclusively for TD Composer and if you are using the VC, all of these will not work.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi Bogdan,
Thank you for the reply!
OK, I understand and I’ll move all my pages fro JS to TD composer, but once I moved over the TD, can I only keep the TD Composer and get rid of the JS?
Thank you again
Hello iisnet,
First of all, I will thank you for your interests in our theme but please notice that TD Composer is available only for Newspaper theme and not only for Newsmag, at the moment, sorry! We hope that in the future to implement the TD Composer in Newsmag, but we cannot say for sure when exactly this will happen, sorry!
Thanks for the message!
I don’t use VC for much the same reason. However, you might try their new TD Composer …. muuuuuch better and can be used to setup custom blocks/areas on home page, which is what I use it for. Documentation > Newspaper > install theme ?
Just updated to 3.4 and was reading about TD Composer but can’t find it? its not in the download plugins directory so how to get it/install it?
Version 8 is a new version, not an update, so this is always possible with any major update to anything, whether it’s WP, WooCommerce, or themes. You don’t have to update theme if you don’t want to; it’s not mandatory.
The new theme has option of continuing use of Visual Composer page builder for custom home page or pages; or use new light-weight version the TD Composer. If using the TDC, yes, you will need to test and adjust any page using VC, as some modules are carried over but not all – so you would need to change the pages which have any VC element which TDC does not have.
Options
a) don’t upgrade if you have no compelling reason to do so
b) upgrade and use Visual Composer vs TDC — but yes, any custom code added to any core files always has to be moved to new version as new page templates over-ride old ones; this is common with any customization done to any theme
c) setup test area, with clone of site (such as sub-domain, or folder on existing site); switch to TDC, then adjust pages which have broken elements to alternative option from the TDC builder; then once done – copy the clone dbase into the original dbase and replace old theme with the dev theme. Anybody who knows what they are doing as webdev would know how to do all of that.
Hope that helped!
